Powered by CESI’s advanced computer vision, the system enables optical targeting that distinguishes between cover and concealment, capturing the shooter’s sight picture and aimpoint in real time. (CESI), a By Light Company, has been awarded a $62 million production contract by the U.S. Army’s Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) to deliver more than 100 Stinger Training Systems (STS) over the next five years.

This award follows a successful prototyping effort and represents a major step forward in the Army’s modernization under the Synthetic Training Environment (STE). STS is a critical component of the STE’s Live Training Systems (STE-LTS) Increment 1, designed to close live force-on-force training gaps and deliver scalable multi-domain realism.

The STS is part of the CESI Family of Live Training Products, which includes both direct and indirect fire weapons training solutions. Together, these capabilities deliver software-defined, high-fidelity training experiences across a range of operational scenarios, engineered for total situational dominance.

U.S. Department of Justice Closes Investigation of Cole Engineering Services

MCLEAN, Va., Feb. 18, 2025 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Cole Engineering Services Inc. (Cole), a By Light company, has been informed by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) that it is no longer under investigation. Neither Cole nor By Light was ever a target of the investigation.

As previously reported by some media outlets, a search warrant was executed at Cole’s facilities in June 2024. Following this event, the company retained former senior DOJ officials to conduct an independent review of the matter on behalf of company leadership, engage with DOJ to understand the basis for the search, and work toward the resolution of the investigation.

On December 13, 2024, Cole was formally notified by DOJ through counsel that the investigation had concluded, and no further action was required on the company’s part. This result is consistent with our belief that neither Cole nor any of its employees engaged in inappropriate conduct. The company appreciates the swift resolution of the matter and the professionalism displayed by DOJ throughout the investigation.
