Lincoln Law School of San Jose Launches New Website

SAN JOSE, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- Lincoln Law School of San Jose is proud to announce that its newly designed website launched on January 25, 2021, after several months of working on its development. Their old site was perfectly functional, but this much-needed refresh will help students, potential students, faculty, and supporters to gain more from Lincoln's online presence.

Dean Laura Palazzolo had this to say about the new, easier to use site: "Lincoln Law School is a hidden gem for those seeking a high quality, affordable legal education. It is our hope that this new website will make it easier for people to find and take advantage of the extraordinary opportunities Lincoln has to offer."

In addition to the sleek new design, the site has moved from the old URL to LincolnLawSchool.edu. This new domain removes the geographical limitations associated with the old URL. Ideally, removing the locational reference will help draw in students from beyond the local area, with Lincoln's law-related courses reaching across the country and in time even around the world. The new URL has the added benefit of being smoother, more descriptive, and more memorable.

The new website design falls in line with Lincoln's mission to make legal education more accessible. It is faster and easier to navigate. The upgrades will help site visitors find the information they need more quickly and offer ample opportunity to get in touch with admissions staff in case other questions arise.

With all that's going on in the world leading to a heavier reliance on online resources, it was a perfect time to ensure that Lincoln's website visitors have the best possible user experience. Associate Dean Nick F. Forooghi had this to say about the new site: "Our new website and URL offer not only a great new look and feel but superior functionality and technology to provide forward-looking remote services to all our constituents; including our students, faculty, alumni and new visitors and applicants."

The new site was designed by Lincoln's marketing department, answering to Associate Dean Nick F. Forooghi, in collaboration with consulting firm Solid Vision Consulting, LLC and marketing firm Solutionarian.

The new website and URL simply provides a better, more modern web presence to support Lincoln Law School of San Jose's continued commitment to providing an affordable, accessible law education that emphasizes real-world applications.

Bay Area Law School Launches Two New Flexible Online Degrees in Intellectual Property

SAN JOSE, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- Lincoln Law School of San Jose today announced their Flexible Online LLM and MLS in Intellectual Property, two new programs. Both the LLM IP and the MLS IP programs with a concentration on patents will be available starting this Fall semester 2020 starting in September.

The LLM in Intellectual Property ("LLM IP") is a 12-month course for lawyers. This flexible online one-year-long program offers a path for existing attorneys to specialize in the highly sought-after Intellectual Property Law with a focus on patents. This program would allow these professionals to expand their areas of expertise without disrupting their ongoing practice.

"The [Intellectual Property] clinic program gives our students a very real perspective, and the input we receive [...] provides information for us to provide back to the government on laws that could be changed to more narrowly focus on benefiting inventors," says Britten Sessions, Associate Dean of Intellectual Property at Lincoln Law of San Jose. "At Lincoln Law School, we're leaders in trying to advocate for the rights of inventors."

Lincoln's IP Clinic is one of only a limited number of patent clinics nationwide, and it is the first patent clinic in Northern California and Silicon Valley Preparation to participate in the IP Clinic includes training materials from the USPTO Students can potentially interact directly with the USPTO through their participation with the IP Clinic

The MLS in Intellectual Property ("MLS IP") program is also a flexible online Master of Legal Studies in Intellectual Property Law. It has a standard curriculum of 33 units and is designed to take 2 years for students entering in the Fall Semester to complete. The training provides non-attorney students with an in-depth understanding of U.S. law and legal reasoning around patents and their application.

Graduates of the MLS IP program have many career expansion opportunities in a wide verity of industries.

Lincoln Law School of San Jose to Celebrate Its 100th Year

SAN JOSE, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- A Centennial celebration will be held September 12, 2019 at the Capital Club in San Jose to commemorate Lincoln Law School of San Jose's 100 years providing affordable legal education to working adults.

Rod Diridon, Sr., Sheriff Laurie Smith, and other local leaders will be present to celebrate the historic milestones of San Jose's only law school. The many contributions of Lincoln alumni to San Jose and its surrounding communities will also be highlighted, including Dave Cortese (Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors), Linda LaZotte (San Jose City Council and Santa Clara Valley Water District Board), Hon. Teresa Guerrero-Daley (deceased), Christopher Moore (San Jose Police Chief and Presidential Fellow under the Obama Administration); and Patricia Castorena (Immigration Correspondent for Noticiero Telemundo).

Maya Harris, MSNBC correspondent and campaign manager for Presidential candidate Kamala Harris, has noted that Lincoln Law School of San Jose made her the youngest law school dean in the country at age 29.

Lincoln was founded 100 years ago on the extraordinary premise that ordinary people of ordinary means could improve their lives and the lives of the people they served by learning and practicing law at an affordable price. The current Dean of Lincoln Law School of San Jose, Laura Palazzolo, is a San Jose native and a graduate of both San Jose State University and Lincoln Law School of San Jose. She spent most of her two-decade career as a civil litigator at San Jose law firm Berliner Cohen. Dean Palazzolo taught Real Property at Lincoln for ten years. She began her legal studies when her three children were all under age 5.
