Company celebrates district's embrace of technology in service to students and families

Edupoint Founder Bob Weathers, alongside Edupoint President Rob Wilson, presented the award to Allen Miedema, Executive Director of Technology at Northshore, on November 7 at the 2024 Synergy Connect Users Conference in Anaheim, California.

Northshore has used Synergy since 2014, when it signed on as the second Synergy partner in Washington state. The district serves 22,000 students across four comprehensive high schools, three choice schools, six middle schools, an early childhood center, and twenty elementary schools serving the cities of Bothell, Kenmore, and Woodinville in Washington State. Edupoint Founder and CEO Bob Weathers presented the award to Deb Sellers, Data/Training Specialist for WPS, on Nov. 2 at the 2023 Synergy Connect Users Conference in Orlando, Florida.

Located near Grand Rapids, Michigan, Wyoming Public Schools began using Synergy in 2011 to support the district's 4,000 students and staff across nine buildings. Over the years, Wyoming's use of Synergy has evolved to include hosting and mentoring to four neighboring school districts, supporting a combined population of more than 12,000 students.

WPS and the districts it supports elected to adopt Synergy as their common student information system in order to better collaborate across districts as well as with Edupoint. The Wyoming technology department takes a leading role in supporting all aspects of that collaboration, coordinating the rollout of new releases, recruiting users to pilot new features, taking feedback from end users, and communicating those feedback points to Edupoint.
