Argyle expands income verification with AIM Check integrated Doc VOI

Automated, document-based income analysis streamlines verification waterfalls-cutting costs and helping lenders determine eligibility for Freddie Mac representation and warranty relief related to income calculation

NEW YORK CITY, N.Y., Oct. 14, 2025 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Argyle, the leading provider of direct-source income, employment and asset verifications, today announced the launch of Doc VOI, a new paystub and W-2 based income verification report integrated with Freddie Mac’s AIM Check API. Lenders are cutting costs and gaining fast, automated income verifications from uploaded paystubs and W-2s when direct payroll or banking connections are not available. The launch also helps mortgage lenders unlock rep and warrant (R&W) relief from Freddie Mac on income calculations derived from documents.

Argyle can retrieve paystubs and W-2s directly from the eFolder within ICE Mortgage Technology’s Encompass® loan origination system and through the Argyle API for lenders with proprietary systems. Doc VOI then uses optical character recognition (OCR) technology to extract key income data and submits that data to Freddie Mac’s Loan Product Advisor® (LPA®) AIM Check for assessment. Within minutes, Argyle returns the automated income assessment results in a clear, structured report delivered directly into the LOS. Doc VOI provides visibility into an applicant’s AIM-eligible income earlier in the loan origination process without waiting for a full LPA submission or resorting to traditional manual reviews.

Key benefits of Argyle’s Doc VOI include:

  • Reduced cost by minimizing reliance on legacy providers: Lenders can shift away from expensive, static database solutions and instead access more timely, dynamic income data.
  • R&W relief eligibility on more loans: By enabling document-based verifications that would otherwise be handled manually, Doc VOI increases the share of loans assessed by LPA for eligibility of R&W relief.
  • Faster loan decisions through higher-quality data: Early income assessments accelerate underwriting by equipping lenders with verified income data sooner in the process while supporting cleaner automated underwriting system (AUS) submissions.
  • Improved operational efficiency: Automating document-based income analysis reduces manual reviews, freeing up teams to focus on higher-value activities.

“Working with Argyle has helped us streamline verifications for both our team and our borrowers. Including Doc VOI in our verification process gives us confidence that we can quickly qualify borrowers using documents when needed. This flexibility ensures a smooth borrower experience and supports timely processing,” said Cindy Keith, chief strategy officer at NFM Lending.

“Argyle’s Doc VOI integrated with Freddie Mac’s AIM Check enables mortgage lenders to maximize their verification waterfall,” said Brian Geary, COO of Argyle. “By combining payroll, banking and docs, Argyle enables customers to run their entire waterfall through one provider, driving more qualifications, less manual work, and higher conversion.”

Doc VOI complements Argyle’s direct-source payroll and banking verification solutions (VOIE, VOE, VOA), which are also integrated with Freddie Mac’s Loan Product Advisor AIM as well as with Fannie Mae’s Desktop Underwriter® validation service, a component of Day 1 Certainty®. Together, these capabilities provide comprehensive coverage across applicant profiles, giving providers more tools to meet GSE eligibility requirements and improve the applicant experience.

Argyle’s investments in innovation spur over 50 lenders to switch to the mortgage industry’s highest-converting VOI/E platform

NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. /ScoopCloud/ -- Argyle, a platform providing automated income and employment verifications for some of the largest lenders in the United States, closed a banner year of mortgage growth with 50 new IMB, credit union and bank customers. The payroll connectivity leader more than doubled the annual volume of income and employment verifications conducted on behalf of its customers to 1.5 million with the help of 15 of the top 100 mortgage lenders. Chief Commercial Officer Brian Geary attributed Argyle's increasing appeal in the mortgage vertical to the commitment of a growing team of in-house mortgage experts and the successful implementation of an ambitious innovation roadmap that is delivering tangible business advantages for customers.

After introducing multiple new platform features and adding thousands of employers to its data network, in October Argyle became the first provider of consumer-permissioned income and employment data to be named an authorized report supplier to Fannie Mae's Desktop Underwriter® (DU®) Validation Service. The collaboration helps lenders reduce mortgage repurchase risk by enabling access to relief from representations and warranties through Fannie Mae's Day 1 Certainty® initiative.

Argyle also added several new partnerships throughout the year that seamlessly integrate its verification of income and employment (VOI/E) services into loan origination software and point-of-sale platforms, including ICE Mortgage Technology (NYSE: ICE), Dark Matter Technologies, nCino (NASDAQ: NCNO) and Lenders One (managed by a subsidiary of Altisource, NASDAQ: ASPS), among others.

To support its growing mortgage customer base, Argyle created a dedicated mortgage division this year and added mortgage industry veterans Sam E. Oliver III and Terri Davis to its advisory board. Oliver is a Freddie Mac veteran of three decades, and Davis' career in mortgage spans leadership roles at Fannie Mae, ICE Mortgage Technology and Notarize.

These investments are paying dividends to Argyle's customers. Whereas legacy VOI/E providers report success rates in the range of 20-30% - requiring lenders to manually verify income and employment for most loan applicants - companies like Lake Michigan Credit Union and NFM Lending say switching to Argyle is now enabling them to achieve verification success rates north of 50%. At the same time, lenders report that Argyle saves them 80% on verification costs and cuts loan processing times by as much as seven days, resulting in higher borrower pull-through and reducing lender costs associated with rate hedging.

"Argyle is proud to close the year as the fastest-growing and highest-converting automated income and employment platform available to mortgage lenders today," said Geary. "We are helping lenders weather the storm of this challenging market cycle by making a material impact on the bottom line. As we approach the new year, our customers can count on Argyle to continue investing heavily in mortgage as we look to drive our conversion rates even higher, build deeper integrations to the mortgage tech stack and round out our GSE approvals."

Argyle has been recognized this year by Fintech Nexus as an Emerging Fintech Innovator, Forbes as one of America's Best Startup Employers, Tearsheet as the Best Alternative Data Product and Fintech Futures as a Fintech Startup of the Year. HousingWire honored Argyle CEO Shmulik Fishman among its 2023 Tech Trendsetters and named John Hardesty, general manager of Argyle's mortgage division, a 2023 HW Insider.

FormFree and Ocrolus Partner for Comprehensive Borrower Income Verification Program

ATHENS, Ga. /ScoopCloud/ -- FormFree(R), a leading fintech provider of credit decisioning services, today announced a partnership with Ocrolus, a leading fintech infrastructure company that transforms documents into actionable data with over 99% accuracy. FormFree's Passport(tm) all-in-one asset, employment and income verification service now includes API calls to Ocrolus for paystub and W-2 tax form collection and data verification.

Each day, Passport helps tens of thousands of loan originators assess the ability of loan applicants to repay loans. FormFree's partnership with Ocrolus enables Passport to ingest data from paystubs submitted in PDF or cell phone photo format. Passport can also pull income data directly from payroll providers with a consumer's permission.

"Income verification is a critical factor in assessing a borrower's ability to repay a loan," said FormFree CEO Brent Chandler. "Enabling lenders to corroborate images of paystubs against digital data sources allows them to make credit decisions with a high level of confidence."

As Ocrolus digitizes data from submitted paystubs and W-2 documents, Passport corroborates that data against public and proprietary sources to validate that the stated employer is a real company with whom the loan applicant has a verifiable connection. Next, the program compares the paystub data against consumer asset data to calculate annual net pay and gross income. The verified asset, income and employment data points are then instantaneously pushed to the lender systems such as point-of-sale (POS) platforms, loan origination software (LOS) and automated underwriting systems (AUS).

"We developed Ocrolus to analyze documents of any format or quality with over 99% accuracy," said Sam Bobley, CEO of Ocrolus. "FormFree is a leading fintech that we are proud to partner with; incorporating our capabilities within Passport provides lenders with precisely accurate data for financial decisioning."

Paystub and W-2 document submissions are currently supported and available to FormFree customers. Ocrolus and FormFree are also developing integrations for additional financial documents including bank statements.

About Ocrolus:

Ocrolus is a fintech infrastructure company that transforms documents into actionable data with over 99% accuracy. Powered by artificial intelligence and a unique, human-in-the-loop data validation process, Ocrolus plugs directly into customer workflows via API, eliminating the need for manual data work. The solution includes built-in fraud detection and analytics, enabling customers to make smarter and faster business decisions with unprecedented scalability and precision.

Use cases include mortgage, small business, auto and personal loan underwriting, credit account openings and other document-intensive processes. Ocrolus has raised over $30 million in venture capital backed by Oak HC/FT, FinTech Collective, Bullpen Capital and QED Investors, among others. Visit https://www.ocrolus.com/ to learn more.

FormFree adds paystubs to Passport all-in-one asset, employment and income verification service

ATHENS, Ga. /ScoopCloud/ -- FormFree(R) today announced that it has added paystub collection and verification to its Passport(TM) all-in-one asset, employment and income verification service. The enhancement will be available to FormFree customers, including those who use Passport through one of FormFree's more than 100 integrations and reseller partnerships, in November.

To use the new feature, loan applicants can grant Passport permission to electronically collect paystub data from supported payroll providers. Alternatively, applicants can submit a photo or upload a PDF or scanned image of their paystub using the Passport verification app.

In a matter of seconds, FormFree's analytics engine corroborates the collected payroll data against public and proprietary data sources to verify that the applicant's stated employer is a valid business with whom the applicant has a verifiable association. At the same time, FormFree compares payroll data against the applicant's financial assets to confirm the frequency and source of direct deposits and calculate the applicant's annual net pay and gross income. FormFree then pushes the verified asset, income and employment data directly into lender systems such as digital loan applications, origination software and automated underwriting systems (AUS).

"Paystub verification is a capability our customers have been anticipating for some time, and it was important to us to get it right," said FormFree CEO Brent Chandler. "We're proud to introduce a solution that stands head and shoulders above anything else in the market."

"The sheer number of data points we're able to corroborate against paystub data will give lenders and investors a rock-solid understanding of each loan applicant's assets, income and employment and enable them to make credit decisions with an extremely high level of confidence," continued Chandler. "Best of all, the new capability will be available to our valued customers through their existing integrations and our APIs - no additional implementation required."
