FinKube Publishes New Digital Lending White Paper, ‘Simplifying the Digital Mortgage Process’

DALLAS, Texas /ScoopCloud/ -- FinKube, a company that provides AI-powered Platform-as-a-Service solutions for a range of industries, announced today that it has published a new whitepaper entitled "Simplifying the Digital Mortgage Process." The new paper outlines some of the risks lenders face when making choices about the technologies they employ on the front ends of their mortgage origination processes.

"It's in the best interests of the mortgage technology vendor community for lenders to believe that meeting the digital requirements of modern mortgage borrowers is complicated," said Jorge Sauri, founder and CEO of FinKube. "We don't believe it is. Instead of investing in technology that changes the way the lender operates an existing business, there is far less risk in using adaptive technology that has the cognitive power to take the lender's existing business digital. This requires the lender to rethink what it means to go digital, which is the focus of our new white paper."

In the paper, FinKube outlines the four objectives a lender must achieve if they hope to compete with the nation's largest fintech lenders. It also explains how to win more customers without investing in an expensive call center, like the nation's largest firms have done in order to serve as the back office for their digital front ends.

FinKube is the creator of ELSA, which stands for Electronic Loan Services Assistant. She is the financial services industry's first intelligent assistant and uses AI and machine learning to enhance the origination process from origination to close. ELSA can gather borrower information, render decisions, automate time-consuming tasks and help lenders produce fully compliant mortgage loans in as few as 20 days. Learn more about ELSA at https://finkube.com/product/elsa-intelligent-assistance/.

FinKube was founded by Jorge Sauri, an industry veteran with nearly 20 years of experience developing IT solutions and technology platforms for banks, lenders and real estate companies. He developed the mortgage industry's first cloud-based software for underwriting subprime mortgages at Arc Systems and then developed a completely cloud-based LOS called MortgageDashboard.

To download a free copy of the white paper, visit the company's website at https://finkube.com/landing-page/.

About FinKube:

FinKube with ELSA (E-Loan Support Assistance) is a human in the loop automation (IA) cloud lending platform that makes offering the digital mortgage experience easy. Cloudvirga and Freddie Mac Team Up to Deliver a Better Borrower Experience, Maximize Fungibility

IRVINE, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- Cloudvirga(TM), a leading provider of digital mortgage point-of-sale (POS) software whose enterprise technology is powered by the intelligent Mortgage Platform(R), today launched single-click submission of loan data to both GSEs' automated underwriting systems (AUS) in a collaborative effort with Freddie Mac, delivering on the industry need for greater transactional ease.

The dual-AUS submission and review process allows lenders to maximize loan fungibility in the secondary market and improve loan quality through automation. Cloudvirga works behind the scenes to automate review of each GSEs' AUS' findings report, applying rules-based logic and predictive analytics to determine the best path for a loan without adding manual review tasks or interfering with a loan team's preferred origination workflow.

"We're empowering loan officers and back-office teams with data and augmented intelligence and making it effortless to deliver the best possible borrower experience while maximizing loan performance in the secondary market," said Kyle Kamrooz, Cloudvirga Co-founder.

Running loan data through both AUSs up front allows loan officers to identify opportunities to help borrowers save money and close loans faster. For example, a loan may not qualify for an automated appraisal waiver from both GSEs. Avoiding the need for an appraisal can save borrowers anywhere from $300 to over a thousand dollars and shorten loan cycle times by days or weeks. Dual-AUS submission will ensure loan officers have a full picture of the options available for their borrowers and can provide the best borrower experience.

"Freddie Mac is committed to helping all lenders maximize loan fungibility while maintaining transactional ease, reducing origination costs and improving the borrower experience," said Rick Lang, Vice President, Loan Advisor Suite Strategy and Integration for the Single-Family business at Freddie Mac. "We're confident Cloudvirga's 'AUS agnostic' submission will demonstrate that selecting Loan Product Advisor on a per-loan basis will add value for both lenders and borrowers."

The functionality will be available to Cloudvirga customers with Freddie Mac Loan Product Advisor's 4.8 release. Loan Product Advisor 4.8 also adds new support for automated validation of borrower asset and income data.

Record Year for Cloudvirga Closes with Customers of Its Digital Mortgage Platform Producing Over $100B in Loan Volume

IRVINE, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- Cloudvirga(TM) CEO Michael Schreck is on a mission to help mortgage lenders reinvent the mortgage factory. A developer of intelligent mortgage point-of-sale platforms, Cloudvirga gives consumers and loan officers a digital mortgage experience and helps lenders grow market share by automating the mortgage back office, saving them up to $1,500 a loan.

2017 was a banner year for Cloudvirga. In November, the company announced the addition of five top-30 lender customers to its digital mortgage platform, and it added a sixth top-30 lender in December. Together, these customers produced over $100B in loan volume in 2017.

"We are proud to have earned the support of the industry's leading lenders," said Schreck. "We believe their trust is indicative of Cloudvirga's unique mission to offer customers a response to Rocket Mortgage while also attacking the serious cost problems involved in producing a loan."

Also in 2017, Cloudvirga raised a $20M Series B led by Blackstone Group (NYSE: BX) portfolio company Incenter. To date, the firm has raised over $27M in total funding to scale its enterprise-class technology and invest in vendor partnerships, including a recently announced integration with DocuTech, the industry's leading provider of document and compliance technology.

Cloudvirga hired Schreck, a veteran tech entrepreneur and former Altisource (NASDAQ: ASPS) senior executive, as its new CEO in June. The firm's previous CEO, co-founder Bill Dallas, continues to advise Cloudvirga as chairman of its board of directors.

Since then, Schreck has overseen several high-profile additions to Cloudvirga's leadership team, including the appointment of former ShiftPixy (NASDAQ: PIXY) CFO Stephen DeSantis as chief financial officer; former Intuit (NASDAQ: INTU) and First American (NYSE: FAF) executive Jim Portner as chief product officer; and former Dell (NYSE: DVMT) and IBM (NYSE: IBM) executive Sean McEvoy as chief customer officer.

In December, Cloudvirga co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer Kyle Kamrooz received top industry honors as one of HousingWire magazine's 2017 Vanguard Award winners. He was also recognized by National Mortgage Professional magazine as one of the mortgage industry's most influential professionals under 40.

DocMagic Opens High-Tech Print Fulfillment Supercenter to Support Growth

TORRANCE, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- DocMagic, Inc., the premier provider of fully-compliant loan document preparation, regulatory compliance and comprehensive eMortgage services, announced that it has opened a 12,000 square foot print fulfillment center minutes from its Torrance, California headquarters. DocMagic added the high tech "supercenter" to support lenders' growing need for secure, compliant paper documents as the mortgage industry transitions to a 100 percent digital mortgage process.

"Ironically, DocMagic's increasing need to produce paper documents results from the growing number of lenders using our technologies to transact paperless mortgages," said Dominic Iannitti, president and CEO of DocMagic, who explained that even lenders employing 100 percent digital processes need to produce paper documents due to paper "fallout."

Paper fallout, which is normal and can be expected with any digital process, is usually caused when borrowers do not respond to email requests for eSigning within required timeframes or because they specifically ask their lenders to revert to paper documents. When this happens, lenders' risk of compliance violations increases. The process of printing, preparing and delivering paper documents is traditionally an intensely manual and time-consuming process, which increases lenders' risk of missed disclosure deadlines, errors and compromised data.

"Simply creating a print fulfillment center wouldn't have been an adequate solution because high risk is inherent in handling paper fallout," said Iannitti. "We needed a fulfillment center based on technology that eclipses any process-manual or automated-currently being used to process paper documents. Fortunately, this is where DocMagic excels. We created a fulfillment supercenter that operates at the height of automation in the mortgage equivalent of a sterile environment. We're very proud of what we've built."

The new fulfillment center uses biometric authentication and video monitoring to provide auditable assurance that only authorized individuals access the building and specific areas within the structure. Inside, advanced technology automates nearly every step of the paper process. Once the documents are ordered, a printer automatically feeds the paper documents directly into an automated system that scans and reads the barcodes to assure that all documents are present. The documents are then inserted into envelopes, sealed and stamped-all without human intervention. The system logs and stores all actions, so lenders can review them and produce detailed information about any document's activity, at any time. The result of this high-tech process for handling paper is a drastic reduction in the risk of errors, omissions and compromised data.

"UETA [Uniform Electronic Transactions Act] requires that consumers be allowed to opt out of electronic processes at any time, but that's just one compliance issue lenders need to address," said Iannitti. "The key difference between DocMagic and a basic software provider is DocMagic's core focus on providing a legal and compliant process. Unlike other providers, we've automated and integrated that opt out option within our workflow so lenders can avert risks that arise when transitioning to another system or vendor."

DocMagic plans to open additional regional print centers across the US over the next several years to support its expansion into other types of consumer loan programs. While there will always be some degree of fallout, as borrowers embrace the eSigning of all documents as the new norm, opting out to a paper process will become less common as well as the need to support additional fulfillment centers.

About DocMagic:
DocMagic, Inc. is the leading provider of fully-compliant loan document preparation, compliance, eSign and eDelivery solutions for the mortgage industry. Founded in 1988 and headquartered in Torrance, Calif., DocMagic, Inc. develops software, mobile apps, processes and web-based systems for the production and delivery of compliant loan document packages.
