DocMagic and Truliant Federal Credit Union earn PROGRESS in Lending’s 2026 Connections Award for industry-first eHELOC milestone

Recognition marks the latest chapter in a yearslong collaboration that has produced three landmark milestones in digital mortgage lending

TORRANCE, Calif., June 29, 2026 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — DocMagic® was honored today with PROGRESS in Lending’s 2026 Connections Award alongside Truliant Federal Credit Union, a North Carolina-based credit union serving more than 300,000 members. The recognition honors a yearslong partnership that culminated in the mortgage industry’s first electronic home equity line of credit (eHELOC) registered with the MERS® eRegistry.

Since 2020, Truliant and DocMagic have worked together to build the credit union’s digital closing capabilities from the ground up. In June 2025, that partnership extended into home equity lending, where DocMagic’s SmartSAFE™ eVault made the eHELOC registration possible.

The eHELOC milestone is the third time the two organizations have broken new ground together. In March 2020, DocMagic helped Truliant become the first credit union in North Carolina to complete a full eClosing. A year later, working with DocMagic, Truliant became the first credit union to transfer an eNote to the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta and just the second in the entire 11-member FHLBank system to do so, opening a wider path for member financial institutions to pledge eNotes. In the months that followed, the shift to eNotes cut six to eight days from Truliant’s loan delivery timeline.

“Truliant has been a tremendous partner in advancing digital lending across the credit union space,” said Pat Theodora, CEO of DocMagic. “Every milestone we’ve reached together over the years has been built on a shared belief that the next frontier is always worth pursuing.”

“DocMagic has helped us move lending forward with greater speed, efficiency and ease for consumers,” said Beth Eller, senior vice president of mortgage lending at Truliant. “Their innovative, forward-thinking approach has been instrumental to our progress, and we’re honored to celebrate this achievement together.”

Now in its third year, the Connections Award honors partnerships and integrations that are advancing mortgage lending through collaboration, innovation and measurable business results. For a full list of 2026 winners, visit https://mymortgagemindset.com/.

DocMagic named 2026 MortgagePoint Tech Excellence Award recipient for digital mortgage innovation

TORRANCE, Calif., June 16, 2026 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — DocMagic® announced today it has again been named a recipient of the MortgagePoint Tech Excellence Award. The annual award recognizes the most innovative technology providers in the mortgage industry. According to MortgagePoint, the Tech Excellence Award “highlights companies that deliver cutting-edge solutions, improve operational efficiency and enhance the mortgage process through technology.”

DocMagic, Inc.
Image caption: DocMagic, Inc.

MortgagePoint selected DocMagic as a winner for the second consecutive year based on its continued innovation and measurable impact across the digital mortgage lifecycle. Over nearly four decades, the company has evolved from a provider of document generation into a fully connected platform that supports document prep, compliance, eSignature, closing and eVaulting in a single environment.

Despite a challenging market, DocMagic’s digital closing platform continued to grow in 2025. eClosings increased nearly 31% year over year, with eNote activity growing even faster. Since 2022, the company has supported hundreds of thousands of eClosings and now accounts for nearly 12% of all industry eNote registrations.

“We’re proud to be recognized again by MortgagePoint,” said Lori Johnson, COO of DocMagic. “What matters most to us is helping our clients operate with more certainty and less friction. That means giving them tools that make closings faster, compliance easier and operations more efficient. It’s what we’ve been doing for almost 40 years.”

DocMagic continues to develop proprietary innovations. The company recently secured two U.S. patents related to electronic loan document technology and enabled the industry’s first electronic home equity line of credit registration with the MERS® eRegistry. Most recently, its SmartSAFE eVault earned MISMO’s eVault System Certification, adding to existing MISMO certifications for its eClosing system and remote online notarization capabilities.

Across market cycles, DocMagic has maintained a focus on reliability, compliance and scale. That consistency has allowed lenders, credit unions and independent mortgage banks to expand digital execution without adding operational burden or risk.

TORRANCE, Calif., May 7, 2026 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — DocMagic, Inc. (DocMagic®) announced today that it has received two new certifications from MISMO®, the Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization. MISMO’s eVault System Certification covers SmartSAFE®, DocMagic’s core eVault for managing eNote workflows and MERS® eRegistry activity, and SmartSAFE XL™, an API-first eVault designed for enterprise environments that require flexible deployments and support for a broader range of digital assets. MISMO’s SMART Doc® Validation Rules Certification confirms that DocMagic’s technology can verify conformance to MISMO SMART Doc V1.02 standards prior to vaulting and across integrated workflows.

MISMO’s technology certifications signify that providers meet rigorous criteria for data exchange, transaction reliability and interoperability across the mortgage ecosystem. DocMagic’s SmartSAFE and SmartSAFE XL eVaults underwent comprehensive testing, with 192 interdependent test cases and supporting compliance artifacts evaluated for each solution.

“With MISMO’s eVault certifications, DocMagic can help lenders accelerate integration timelines, reduce testing cycles and bring eNote capabilities to market with greater speed and certainty,” said MISMO Vice President of Programs and Operations Jonathan Kearns. “At MISMO, we recognize that trust in both the integration and ongoing use of an eVault is critical to advancing the digital mortgage ecosystem. Our eVault certification program is designed to remove uncertainty by validating that providers are implementing MISMO standards correctly, giving lenders confidence in how electronic notes are stored, managed and transferred.”

“We chose to put both our SmartSAFE eVaults through MISMO’s rigorous certification process because we know how important it is for eNote interoperability to extend across different architectures and operating models,” said DocMagic Chief eServices Executive Brian D. Pannell. A Certified MISMO Standards Professional (CMSP®), Pannell is a member of MISMO’s Residential Standards governance committee and vice chair of its Digital Interoperability community of practice. “Whether workflows are UI-guided or API-driven, consistent validation and management of digital assets enables lenders, investors and partners to transact with speed, efficiency and confidence.”

DocMagic previously received MISMO’s eClosing System Certification for its Total eClose™ solution and MISMO’s Remote Online Notarization (RON) Certification for its proprietary RON technology, both in 2022. Together with its newly earned eVault System and SMART Doc Validation Rules certifications, these achievements reflect DocMagic’s continued alignment with MISMO standards across the digital mortgage lifecycle.

Leadership roles reinforce DocMagic's influence on standards that shape lender efficiency and digital execution

TORRANCE, Calif., Jan. 27, 2026 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — DocMagic, Inc., today announced that two of its executives have been elected to help lead Community of Practice (CoP) workgroups within the Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization (MISMO) for the 2026–2027 term.

DocMagic executives elected to vice chair MISMO Communities of Practice
Image caption: DocMagic executives elected to vice chair MISMO Communities of Practice.

Chief eServices Executive Brian D. Pannell will serve as vice chair of MISMO’s Digital Interoperability CoP, and Director of Integration and Technical Services David Garrett will serve as vice chair of the eMortgage CoP. Garrett will also continue serving as vice chair of MISMO’s Origination CoP, a role to which he was elected last year, for the remainder of his two-year term.Leadership within MISMO plays a direct role in how digital mortgage standards are defined, interpreted and put into practice across the industry, making it critical that those standards are shaped by organizations with real-world lending experience. With nearly 40 years in business and more than 700 lender customers, DocMagic brings deep operational perspective to its leadership roles across multiple CoP, helping ensure standards reflect how data actually behaves across complex lending workflows. This alignment supports stronger interoperability, fewer execution gaps and more predictable movement of documents and data throughout the loan lifecycle.

“Digital interoperability is foundational to a functioning secondary market and scalable digital lending,” said Pannell. “The work happening within MISMO’s Digital Interoperability Community of Practice directly affects how documents, data and collateral move between systems. My focus is on helping ensure those standards translate into practical, reliable execution for lenders operating at scale.”

Added Garrett, “MISMO’s Communities of Practice are where many of the industry’s most consequential decisions around eMortgage adoption and origination standards take shape. Serving in leadership roles across the eMortgage and Origination communities allows us to bring lender realities into the standards process and help drive specifications that support accuracy, compliance and consistent execution across the loan lifecycle.”

MISMO is the mortgage industry’s standards organization, responsible for developing and maintaining the data standards that enable lenders, investors, servicers, government agencies and technology providers to communicate efficiently and securely. Adoption of MISMO standards has been shown to lower per-loan costs, reduce errors, improve margins and accelerate the mortgage process.

The Digital Interoperability CoP focuses on identifying and resolving inconsistencies in electronic documents and eVaults while establishing best practices and long-term solutions to ensure seamless interoperability across platforms. The eMortgage CoP, one of MISMO’s largest communities with more than 200 members, develops specifications, document profiles and implementation guidelines for electronic mortgage documents across the loan lifecycle—from application and origination through closing, investor delivery and servicing. The Origination CoP designs and maintains data standards supporting mortgage application, underwriting and closing processes.

DocMagic enhances Total eClose platform with new IPEN capability for broader digital closing flexibility

In-person electronic notarization option strengthens DocMagic's eNotary offering and supports diverse borrower and settlement agent preferences

TORRANCE, Calif., Nov. 20, 2025 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — DocMagic, Inc. announced today the availability of its in-person electronic notarization (IPEN) capability, extending the company’s Total eClose™ platform to support more closing scenarios and borrower preferences across the country. IPEN offers lenders, settlement agents, notaries and borrowers an additional digital option for situations where remote online notarization (RON) is not jurisdictionally permitted or simply not the preferred experience.

DocMagic, Inc.
Image caption: DocMagic, Inc.

While RON remains a powerful tool for digital closings, it is not authorized for real estate transactions in every state. Today, IPEN is permitted in 46 states and the District of Columbia, making it a widely accessible alternative that preserves the benefits of electronic execution even in jurisdictions that do not permit remote notarization. For lenders, this expanded coverage translates into greater operational flexibility and a more consistent eClosing workflow regardless of geography.

“Not every transaction can be remote, but every transaction can be digital,” said Michael Morford, chief technology officer at DocMagic. “By adding IPEN, we’re enabling lenders, settlement agents and notaries to provide the kind of in-person experience many consumers still prefer while maintaining all the efficiency, accuracy and immediacy of an electronic closing.”

A key advantage of IPEN is its flexibility. Where permitted by state law, settlement agents and notaries can switch between RON and IPEN within the same transaction, supporting co-borrowers in different locations or accommodating last-minute changes in borrower availability. The immediate availability of electronically executed documents also shortens post-closing timelines, accelerates funding and reduces costs associated with paper handling.

The addition of IPEN also supports a wide range of borrower preferences. Some clients want hands-on guidance, and others value the relationship and ceremony of an in-person signing. IPEN preserves that face-to-face experience while delivering the efficiency and accuracy of a 100% digital closing, giving lenders a way to meet every borrower where they are without sacrificing speed, accuracy or auditability.

“IPEN rounds out the Total eClose platform so every closing—hybrid, remote or in-person—can be managed through one trusted digital ecosystem,” said Pat Theodora, DocMagic co-founder and CEO. “This enhancement reflects our commitment to supporting all participants in the closing process and helping our clients deliver a consistent digital experience, regardless of the borrower’s location or preference.”

DocMagic’s proprietary IPEN technology works on any connected device with no special hardware or training required. Built on the same trusted foundation as DocMagic’s RON capability, IPEN uses the familiar DocMagic signing interface and is available to all notaries within the company’s nationwide notary network. All RON-capable notaries in the system can also perform IPEN. Optional identity verification tools such as knowledge-based authentication (KBA) and ID Verify remain available but are not required for in-person sessions, creating a faster, more efficient process for both notaries and borrowers.

“Lenders have been forced to piece together loan production from too many disconnected systems,” said DocMagic co-founder and CEO Pat Theodora. “DocMagic One changes that, giving every role—from loan officer to closer—a single, efficient platform that saves time, reduces risk, lowers costs and delivers a better experience for third-party collaborators and, ultimately, borrowers.”

Intelligence is woven throughout DocMagic One’s design, with built-in business intelligence and pipeline analytics giving managers instant visibility into performance. The DocMagic One platform is also built to grow with lenders. Predictive analytics, planned features such as AI-powered assistance and advanced eSign tracking will move loans from application to closing with minimal human intervention, expanding capabilities over time without adding complexity or cost.

DocMagic One will be available to existing DocMagic customers at no additional cost, delivering an upgraded, integrated experience without disrupting current workflows. Available in both DocMagic-branded and white-labeled options, the web-based platform is suited to a wide range of lender models.

From Classroom to Career: Two We Are G.A.M.E. Alumni Kickstart Their Professional Lives

TORRANCE, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- Graduating from college and embarking on a professional career is a rite of passage for young adults. This summer, two talented alumni from We Are G.A.M.E. have made that important leap: Bailey Wong and Hannah Walker. Their stories serve as an inspiration for aspiring student-athletes and highlight the power of education and mentorship.

Bailey Wong is a shining example of how hard work and determination can pay off. After graduating summa cum laude from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona's College of Environmental Design, Bailey's passion for urban and regional planning, social justice, and community development found the perfect outlet. She took internships at organizations like Eco Rapid Transit, where she created alignment maps, and Strategic Action for a Just Economy (SAJE), where she researched vacant public-owned properties in Los Angeles.

These internships honed her skills and enabled her to land a position as a Data Analyst and Community Engagement Coordinator at Murakawa Communications right after graduation. Now, she gets to use her degree and focus on community development every day in her new role.

Hannah Walker's journey from student-athlete to a career in marketing and communications showcases the value of pursuing your dreams. While completing her Master of Business Administration (MBA) at California State University, Bakersfield (CSUB), Hannah also worked with CSUB Athletics as a Marketing and Fan Experience Graduate Assistant. She was able to complete her bachelor's degree debt-free, thanks to a full-ride track and field scholarship, paving the way for her master's degree. Now, she's channeled her experiences into a role as the program's Communication and Marketing Specialist, where she is responsible for developing and executing marketing plans and advertising campaigns to support CSUB Athletics.

Both Bailey and Hannah have benefitted greatly from the support they received from their We Are G.A.M.E. mentors. By empowering them with the tools and skills needed to excel in the world of college athletics and academics, We Are G.A.M.E. has helped these two incredible student-athletes transition into successful careers. They have not only navigated higher education successfully but have also been set up for long-term success in their chosen fields.

Class of 2022 Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School Graduate Makes FFA History

TEMECULA, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- Brian Kavanagh, Class of 2022, Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School, was the first student to be selected for the National FFA Organization leadership on the state level. And, he just gave his retirement address as Treasurer at the California State FFA Leadership Convention in Ontario, California.

When the Class of 2022 created the Temecula Saint Jeanne chapter in 2018, there were only four catholic high schools in the United States which offered FFA; Saint Jeanne is the only high school in Temecula that offers FFA.

Kavanagh has attended St. Jeanne's since kindergarten and attributes his success as FFA Treasurer to school leaders.

"St. Jeanne's set me up for success," he says. "Having spent the entirety of my education with my St. Jeanne's family, I grew not only academically, but developed a strong moral compass and found my spiritual path as well."

Christian Gomez, agriculture teacher and FFA Advisor, Saint Jeanne, says that an extremely important part of the FFA is the leadership aspect. Students have the opportunity to run for an FFA office at multiple levels ranging from local to national. At the state level, students are elected by a body of delegates, two from each chapter in the state of California.

"The process to run for office is about three months long and is extremely competitive," Gomez says.

State officer candidates undergo many screenings and interviews by a nominating committee. After multiple rounds of cuts, the top 12 students have the opportunity to be slated for a position at the State Leadership Conference that occurs every year.

Kavanagh took a GAP year to devote himself to the position and says he found it important to delay his education plans and to serve for a year with the California FFA Organization because he saw the value in having the potential to directly impact the next generation of educators, business owners, politicians, farmers and leaders.

"In my freshman year, I was impacted by the State Officers and wanted to give back to the same family that allowed me to grow, learn and flourish," he says. "I've learned so many soft and hard skills this year by traveling up and down the state and facilitating leadership conferences, teaching workshops in high schools and middle schools, advocating with elected leaders and forging connections - experiences that I am not too sure are offered in any university class."

Kavanagh shares that he also has a deeper understanding of how agriculture truly is the most foundational industry of the nation. And, he says he owes a lot to his alma mater.

His chapter advisor, Gomez, adds, "The fact that Brian was one of the founding members and had the opportunity to be elected as a state officer at the end of his senior year was an incredible accomplishment. There are programs that have been around since 1928 when the FFA was first founded, and have yet to have a state officer come from their program."

And it looks like Brian has opened the door for other leaders as a second St. Jeanne student, Makena Stanisai, was elected to state office and slated to take over as secretary in 2023-2024.

"I believe these accomplishments are a true representation of how special Saint Jeanne's is," Gomez says. "These students are eager to extend a hand wherever they can and they're passionate about diversifying their high school experience by partaking in organizations and classes that aren't typical of a classic high school experience."

And, as a member of FFA, Kavanagh created his own business, selling homemade jam, and learned more about entrepreneurship and leadership through agriculture.

"Having an FFA program changes the lives of these students," Gomez says. "Without their FFA experience, many have shared that they may have still been undecided on what they wanted to pursue in life and in college."

Kavanagh plans to attend the University of Notre Dame in the Fall where he will study International Business.

About the FFA:

The FFA is an organization that intends to prepare its members for future career success and much more through agricultural education. It has more than 8,000 chapters in the nation including U.S. territories with 850,000+ members. The California Chapter has about 100,000.

We Are G.A.M.E. Alumnus Elijah Walker Finds His Place in the United States Football League

TORRANCE, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- Elijah Walker got connected to We Are G.A.M.E in 2016 when DJ Reed - the G.A.M.E. alumnus who is now a cornerback with the New York Jets - introduced him to Blaze Bhence while he was in college. He was then introduced to Joyce Thigpen, co-founder of the nonprofit. She helped Walker develop a class schedule to move him forward in both his academic and athletic careers. Before Joyce, he said, the trajectory of his education was leading nowhere.

"We Are G.A.M.E. has played a huge role in my life in general - in sports, academically, and in my life as a whole," he said in a recent interview. From Joyce's athletic guidance to Allen Thigpen's ongoing support of this athletic career, Walker had a foundation from which to build. He reported that he doesn't remember Allen missing a single practice of his. At the same time, Karen Rogers, another integral part of the G.A.M.E. team, came alongside Walker to offer guidance.

As a whole, the G.A.M.E. team helped him develop both his athletic and academic skill sets. Their support was important because his path forward wasn't always straight.

While Walker started playing football around age eight, he didn't play through a school program until his senior year of high school. Despite a limited high school athletic career, Walker was talented enough to join the team at Cerritos College. There, he says he met amazing people, particularly his football coaches: Coaches Caines, Mazzotta, and Grosfeld.

He played for the Falcons for two years, growing his skills after a commitment following his first year to become the best safety in the nation. "I went out and I worked for it along with the people who were put in my life to help me," he says. His game transformed in his second year at Cerritos and he left that program having accomplished his goal: he was the #1 Junior College Safety recruit in the country.

That secured Walker a full-ride scholarship to Kansas State University, where he says he learned a lot of life lessons.

After college, Walker went to training camp for both the Seahawks and Redskins (now Commanders), but got signed by neither team. Despite receiving offers from the Canadian Football League (CFL), he declined them, holding firm in his belief that he would play professional football in the U.S. After two years of unpaid football in the Spring League, Walker found his spot on the U.S. Football League (USFL)'s Pittsburgh Maulers.

Meanwhile, the academic drive instilled in him through We Are G.A.M.E. held strong, and Walker is also pursuing a master's degree at KSU.

About We Are G.A.M.E.:

We are G.A.M.E., Inc. is made up of a T.E.A.M. (Those Empowering Athletes by Mentoring) of community members strongly committed to empowering student-athletes with the tools and skills needed to successfully tackle the world of college athletics. The T.E.A.M. serves a population of students in need of support, advice, and, most of all, life guidance.

The Roberson Brothers – Two We Are G.A.M.E. Alums – Find Success On and Off the Field

TORRANCE, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- Today, the Roberson brothers are two pictures of success. Jacen, the younger brother, was recently drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the sixteenth round. Meanwhile, his older brother, Cameron, graduated last year from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, which he attended on a full-ride scholarship. They attribute a portion of their combined athletic-academic success to their connection with We Are G.A.M.E. (Getting Athletes Mentoring and Education).

The Roberson brothers plugged in with We Are G.A.M.E. at the beginning of their high school careers via Kevin Keyes. They said they expected to pay to get started, but were surprised when the services were free and "straight from the heart."

The G.A.M.E. T.E.A.M. (Those Empowering Athletes by Mentoring) members, including founders Allen and Joyce Thigpen, came alongside the Roberson brothers throughout their high school and college careers. That meant emphasizing both academic excellence and athletic performance.

For Jacen, the support helped him juggle three varsity sports - including four years as a varsity baseball starter - with his classes at Garces High School in Bakersfield, California. After winning the Valley Championship in 2015 and 2018, he was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers as a high school senior. He instead chose to attend Cal State University Bakersfield (CSUB), where he hit the first cycle (single, double, triple, and home run in one game) in the baseball program's history.

Today, Jacen plays High-A Minor League for the Arizona Diamondbacks organization (the Visalia Rawhide, to be specific).

His brother, Cameron, is a case study in the We Are G.A.M.E. mentality: pursuing athletics and academics at the same time. At Garces High School, he was a three-year varsity football starter while also playing varsity basketball, track, and baseball. He was the two-time Southwest Yosemite League MVP for track, but particularly shone in football.

He had two scholarship offers for football but turned them down to go to Bakersfield College where he could play wide receiver. That paid off, as his performance on the field landed him a full-ride scholarship to UMass Amherst.

In 2021, he graduated from UMass with his communications degree. Today, Cameron is pursuing a career in teaching, but sports still play a big role in his life. He's currently back at Bakersfield College - this time as a coach.

Through Charitable Endeavors, Lexi Home Is Bridging the Gap Between Kitchen Necessities and Affordable Cookware

LOS ANGELES, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- Lexi Home, a Los Angeles-based kitchenware and home decor retailer, strives to bridge the gap between affordable cookware and kitchen essentials. The retailer is working with aspiring chefs in the L.A. area, providing them with cookware and other essential items. A part of the kitchen essentials manufactured is donated to aspiring chefs. With every kitchen necessity sold, part of the proceeds is donated to charities in the L.A. area to help ease hunger.

On a global scale, "Kitchen essentials from chicken, milk and instant noodles to the ubiquitous potato have become costlier," according to IndiaTimes. The war in Ukraine added to that cost by driving up demand and shortening food supplies. Projections have essential items becoming even costlier in the years to come. Alleviating hunger is one of mankind's' greatest battles. Globally, 10% of the population goes to bed hungry every night, according to estimates.

"Our goal at Lexi Home is to offer affordable, high-quality cookware while giving back to the local community. We give individuals in need - and talented chefs - access to kitchen necessities and kitchenware. A part of our earnings goes to organizations that fight hunger. We hope to expand our operations and charitable activities nationwide," said Lexi Home CEO, Parth Lalchandani.

Cooking education is another initiative the retailer supports. The pandemic caused many changes, including a growing interest in home cooking. This interest continues post-pandemic, with many age groups inspired to be at-home chefs.

A recent study found that millennials are the most adventurous in the kitchen but know the least about cooking and food safety. In response to recent studies and research, Lexi Home is launching cooking education initiatives late in the fall and into the new year. They are a mixture of online cooking courses promoted on social media and the web. Plus, pop-up locations planned for cooking education and product demonstrations in LA. Inspiring chefs and influencers are partners in these initiatives.

Currently, the retailer is preparing its humanitarian efforts for the fall. These efforts will coincide with marketing and publicity campaigns raising awareness about hunger and promoting cooking education.

ABOUT LEXI HOME:

A home decor and kitchenware retailer, Lexi Home is in Torrance, outside Los Angeles. The company specializes in creating functional kitchen and home goods. The company has spent more than 30 years emphasizing adaptability, ease of use and price. Diversity among its leaders and employees is at the core of its forward-thinking culture. It was one of the first decor and kitchenware retailers to migrate its retail operations online. A wide range of products is available through the website and e-commerce platforms.

We Are G.A.M.E. Alum DJ Reed’s NFL Career Demonstrates ‘It Takes a Village’

TORRANCE, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- Allen Thigpen, co-founder of We Are G.A.M.E., grew up in Plainfield, New Jersey rooting for the New York Jets, even back when they were the Titans. After graduating from Pennsylvania Military College (now Widener University), in Chester, Pennsylvania, Thigpen was commissioned as a second Lieutenant in the United States Army and served as an officer during the Vietnam era.

Fast forward to 2008, and Thigpen - still a Jets fan - founded We Are G.A.M.E. (Getting Athletes Mentoring and Education) with his wife Joyce. A few years later, the Thigpens received an email from Linda Reed, a single parent and cancer survivor in Bakersfield, California. She inquired if her son, DJ, could join the program while attending Independence High School.

The answer was yes. After mentoring DJ through high school, the Thigpens helped to set him up for success in college. Joyce attended Fresno State University's "Dog Days" orientation with DJ and Linda. At the time, it was unheard of for a student-athlete to arrive on campus with their own college counselor.

Ultimately, after some time attending Fresno State, DJ determined that it wasn't the right fit. The Thigpens jumped back in, helping him interview at four different community colleges. DJ chose Cerritos College, where Linda made the three-hour drive to attend every home game. At the same time, Blaze and Cheryl Bhence attended his home games and practices and took him out to dinner frequently. Meanwhile, Joyce developed an education plan, helping DJ get his Associate of Arts degree in just one year.

His performance at Cerritos landed him a football scholarship to Kansas State University, where Allen and Joyce, along with mentor Karen Rogers, regularly attended games. They also traveled to Phoenix to watch DJ and Elijah Walker play in the Cactus Bowl. At that game, DJ literally gave the shirt off his back and his cleats to kids in attendance so they wouldn't leave empty-handed.

After that bowl game, DJ declared for the NFL draft. The We Are G.A.M.E. family got to attend the draft party to hear his name called in the fifth round as he was picked up by the San Francisco 49ers.

The story doesn't end there, though. One day, Allen got a call that DJ had signed with the New York Jets. His football life had now come full circle. As the regular season starts this weekend, you can spot DJ wearing #4 for the Jets, his mentor's longtime team of choice.

Two We Are G.A.M.E. Alums Graduate with Notable Degrees and Clear Paths

TORRANCE, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- Two more student-athletes who connected with We Are G.A.M.E. (Getting Athletes Mentoring and Education) have put what they learned to work. Now, their G.A.M.E. foundation has propelled them into success as they graduate with not just significant degrees, but also jobs.

Dakota Jones, a basketball player and graduate of West High School in Torrance, California, recently completed her master's degree in public health at New York University with a GPA of 3.75 and a job offer. Alyssa Charles, a softball player who attended Stockdale High School in Bakersfield, California, graduated from Menlo College in northern California with an accounting degree, a 3.96 GPA, no student loan debt, and a job. Clearly, We Are G.A.M.E. emphasized the student portion of student-athlete for these two young women, setting them on a path toward success.

Charles says that Joyce and Allen Thigpen of We Are G.A.M.E. played a critical role in helping her explore her college options, looking at everything from pros and cons to pricing. "We Are G.A.M.E. really helped my college career," she explains. And it paid, quite literally. Charles, part of the first generation in her family to graduate college, personally paid off her student loans during college. She graduates with no student debt thanks to jobs she held while pursuing her degree.

Charles's We Are G.A.M.E. involvement also helped her chart her post-college course. Allen Thigpen connected her to mentors in the accounting world. As a result, she was able to shop her options and is confidently headed in the direction of audit accounting as she grows her career. After completing two summer internships with KPMG International, one of the Big Four accounting organizations, she's joining their team full-time.

During her time at Menlo College, Charles was on the dean's list all four years. She was also:

* The manager of her softball team

* On the weightlifting team

* President of the Latinx club

* Secretary of the accounting club

* A resident assistant (RA)

* A member of the Alpha Chi and Beta Gamma Sigma honor societies

Jones had a similarly illustrious post-high school career. At Lesley University in the Boston area, where she earned her psychology degree, she was a three-year captain with two all-honors conference nominations. Not only did she finish her basketball career there with over 1,000 points, but she also set the university's single-game record with 25 rebounds.

It wasn't all basketball for Jones. She graduated with four semesters on the dean's list and secured an internship at Harvard University, where she was a research assistant in a social psychology lab. That led her to her current path. Not only did Jones complete her master's degree in public health with a concentration in social and behavioral sciences, but she also landed a job. Jones has accepted a position as a research grant specialist for the Georgetown University Medical Center.

These two women applied what they learned at We Are G.A.M.E. to not just support their sports careers after high school, but to chart their course into meaningful careers as adults, too. Both graduate with notable degrees headed straight into positions that fit their skills and interests.

TORRANCE, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- DocMagic, Inc., the premier provider of fully-compliant loan document generation, regulatory compliance, and comprehensive eMortgage services, announced that Leah Sommerville, a senior account executive on its eClosing team, has been honored by PROGRESS in Lending as a 2022 Sales & Marketing Trailblazer. We Are G.A.M.E. Alum Haley Jones Graduates from the U.S. Air Force Academy

TORRANCE, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- On May 25, 2022, Haley Jones, one of the most distinguished We Are G.A.M.E. (Getting Athletes Mentoring and Education) alumna, graduates from the U.S. Air Force Academy (AFA), concluding her storied collegiate basketball career.

Jones's dreams of playing college basketball fell into place when she (along with her sister, Dakota) met Allen and Joyce Thigpen, the founders of We Are G.A.M.E. The Jones sisters were raised by an amazing single mother. Dakota is also graduating this May, having completed her master's degree in public health from New York University.

When she met the Thigpens, Jones was in 8th grade and the nonprofit was getting off the ground. Allen Thigpen offered to come alongside the sisters as prospective college student-athletes. That connected Jones with other students who had dreams of not just playing basketball in college, but also playing at the highest division-level possible. At the same time, the Thigpens offered access to the academic resources necessary to bring that dream to life.

Throughout high school, Jones played for the West High School Warriors in Torrance, California. During her four-year career there, she led the team to a California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section (CIF-SS) Division I title, was honored as Player of the Year for the Division, and earned the girls' basketball Player of the Year title from The Daily Breeze, a local publication.

Upon graduating high school, Jones enrolled at the Air Force Academy. Donning her jersey with the AFA Falcons was the realization of her dream of playing Division 1 (D1) basketball, something she and We Are G.A.M.E. worked toward throughout her high school education.

Fast forward to Jones's senior year, which news publications called a "dream season" for the Falcons. It started with an opener against the University of Denver. Although they trailed by 13 points at the half, the Falcons bounced back to win 79-62, thanks in part to Jones's four steals and six points.

The Falcons went on to secure a total of 19 wins overall - including 11 in the Conference - during the season, the most in school history since the team went D1 in the mid-90s. They were also invited to their first postseason tournament (the Women's National Invitational Tournament) and secured their first postseason win.

During the second round, the Falcons faced off against UCLA. Jones was the Falcons' leading scorer with 10 points and leading rebounder with 12 rebounds, marking her fifth double-double of the season. Unfortunately, the Falcons would fall to the Bruins, ending Jones's career with the AFA.

She can look back with pride, though, knowing she collected 614 rebounds during her time as a Falcon, the fifth-most of any player in the D1 era. 276 of those came during her senior year, the second-most of any player in a single season.

After graduating, Jones will begin her first duty assignment in Oklahoma. She then plans to tackle the challenge of becoming an Air Force pilot, a notable undertaking as only 7% of Air Force pilots are currently women.

Centier Bank Leverages DocMagic’s eVault Technology to Accept and Manage eNotes

TORRANCE, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- DocMagic, Inc., the premier provider of compliant loan document generation, automated regulatory compliance and comprehensive eMortgage services, announced that Indiana-based Centier Bank is now equipped to receive eNotes from their warehouse clients through DocMagic's eVault solution. The move positions Centier to secure more business as mortgage bankers increasingly adopt eClosing technology.

Founded in 1895, Centier Bank is Indiana's largest private family-owned community bank with more than 60 branches statewide. The bank is focused on providing excellence in service to customers and offering a one-of-a-kind personal touch. Centier's mortgage warehouse division serves as a trusted warehouse lender to mortgage bankers nationwide.

Centier implemented DocMagic's eVault specifically for its mortgage warehouse lending business. DocMagic's solution enables the bank to accept and fund eNotes from customers closing loans electronically. Company spokespeople at Centier state that the business driver to implement DocMagic's technology was to facilitate ease of doing businesses with eNotes coupled with establishing a future competitive advantage.

"We strongly believe that in the next 12-18 months, eNote acceptance will gain significant industry adoption among both mortgage bankers and end investors," said Jim Taschler, vice president of mortgage warehouse at Centier Bank. "As such, we want to have the technology in place to effectively handle that method of doing business. Centier is committed to investing in technology that makes it easier to do business with us, which DocMagic's eVault makes happen. Ease of system use and simplicity of doing business is going to determine who leads the pack as the mortgage digital ecosystem grows. DocMagic is playing a pivotal role in helping transform our bank's business model."

Centier's eWarehouse lending process is now quicker, easier and clears warehouse lines expeditiously. By using DocMagic's SmartREGISTRY(tm) system to register their eNote on the MERS® eRegistry, it is securely stored within DocMagic's eVault platform. The new eWarehouse lending process reduces cycle times functioning in minutes versus days. The overall process to close, fund and sell the note is effectively fast-tracked.

"Centier has a sterling reputation in the state of Indiana with their exemplary service levels and community involvement," stated Dominic Iannitti, president and CEO of DocMagic. "Their decision to adopt an eWarehouse lending strategy is truly impressive and will ultimately reduce their origination costs and allow them to provide even better service for their clients. We are excited to work with such a forward-thinking, tech-savvy bank."

Taschler at Centier added: "Whereas it used to just be the GSEs accepting eNotes, we now see more and more aggregators also getting on board with eNotes. Everything is clearly going digital. When we see trending in the secondary market, it supports our assertion. We are excited to ramp up and digitize our mortgage business with DocMagic."

Adoption of eNotes has grown significantly over the last couple of years with an increasing number of organizations across the mortgage supply chain realizing benefits. As of April 1, 2022, the MERS® eRegistry reported over 1.6M unique registered eNotes to-date. The industry now boasts 23 different investors that can originate, fund and purchase eNotes. Further, the MERS® eRegistry currently has 30 warehouse lenders successfully funding eNotes. The list of companies now integrated with the MERS® eRegistry continues to grow and includes originators, warehouse lenders, servicing agents, subservicers, investors, Federal Home Loan Banks, ands custodians.

DocMagic's eVault is being utilized by GSEs, investors, servicers, warehouse lenders, banks and other relevant mortgage entities. The eVault is integrated into DocMagic's comprehensive eClosing process, offering lenders options from hybrid variations to fully digital eNote and RON eClosings.

New York Jets Sign We Are G.A.M.E. Alum DJ Reed with a 3-Year, $33 Million Contract

TORRANCE, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- When DJ Reed connected with We Are G.A.M.E. (Getting Athletes Mentoring and Education) during his junior year of high school, he had big plans to play Division I football in college. He needed scholarships to do so, though, and scholarships didn't come. Fast forward nearly a decade, and Reed just inked a three-year, $33 million contract with the New York Jets.

How does a kid from Bakersfield become one of the hottest cornerbacks available in the offseason? More importantly, how does he go from community college football to a standout NFL career?

Part of Reed's success stems from his hard work, determination, and unwavering faith. Another portion of it, though, can be attributed to We Are G.A.M.E., a nonprofit that helps student-athletes learn the skills they need to not just navigate the world of college athletics, but the world at large.

When Reed connected with We Are G.A.M.E. in high school, his mentors placed a heavy emphasis on education. They encouraged him to apply to a variety of colleges as a backup plan if football didn't provide the path he wanted. As it turned out, the scholarship offers Reed needed to play higher-level college football didn't materialize. Fortunately, he had applied and was accepted - with a small academic scholarship - to Fresno State.

There, Reed started his collegiate academic and football careers. At Fresno State, he didn't get much playing time, but he moved to Cerritos College and had an explosive season there - so much so that he caught the eye of then-Kansas State defensive coordinator Tom Hayes.

During his first year playing for Kansas State, Reed ranked fifth nationally in passes defended, was voted First-Team All-Conference, and was named Big 12 Defensive Newcomer of the Year. His second season was equally successful, if not more so.

It was enough to get drafted into the NFL in the fifth round with the San Francisco 49ers, but his 5-foot 9-inch height held him back at first. His playtime was limited and he was pigeonholed because the coaching staff felt he was too small to play on the outside (they now admit that was a mistake).

Fortunately, the Seattle Seahawks picked him up and Reed had a stellar start, picking off an interception against his former quarterback in his Seahawks debut. Initially put in as a replacement for the injured right cornerback, Reed performed so well he kept the spot once the other player was deemed healthy.

In his last year with the Seahawks, Reed started 14 games, defended 10 passes, had two interceptions, and posted 78 tackles.

Now, as Reed begins his tenure with the Jets, a recent Bleacher Report article says, "Cornerback D.J. Reed has elite potential and headlines a list of quality starters."

As Jets fans and We Are G.A.M.E. team members alike anticipate Reed's first season in New York, one thing is certain: his involvement with We Are G.A.M.E. helped Reed navigate the more unpredictable steps of his path to get to this point.

About We Are G.A.M.E.:

We are G.A.M.E., Inc. is made up of a T.E.A.M. HousingWire Names DocMagic One of the Top 100 Most Innovative Mortgage Companies for 2022

TORRANCE, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- DocMagic, Inc., the premier provider of compliant loan document generation, automated regulatory compliance and comprehensive eMortgage services, announced that it earned a spot on HousingWire's coveted 2022 Tech100 list for the ninth straight year.

HousingWire's Tech100 program provides housing professionals with a comprehensive list of the most innovative and impactful organizations that are being leveraged to address the challenges that mortgage lenders and real estate professionals face every day.

"We're always innovating and enhancing our solutions to maximize customer success as our digital lending ecosystem advances," said Dominic Iannitti, president and CEO at DocMagic. "Over the course of 2021, we launched several new solutions designed to improve the borrower experience and make back-office staff more efficient. We are elated that HousingWire has recognized our innovations and again listed DocMagic as a Tech100 winner."

In 2021, DocMagic unveiled eSign 3.0, a redesigned user interface that dramatically enhances the borrower experience. eSign 3.0 also offers lenders and settlement providers new features that help them more easily initiate remote online notarizations (RON) to enable fully paperless eClosings via its Total eClose(tm) platform.

2021 also saw the launch of DocMagic's eDecision(tm) tool, which instantly determines e-eligibility and provides the most beneficial level of eClosing that a lender can offer borrowers. The automatic decisioning process begins as soon as the first set of disclosures is generated and continues to perform e-eligibility checks throughout the process.

In addition, DocMagic recently introduced AutoPrep(tm), a solution that applies AI, OCR and machine learning technology to instantly e-enable third-party documents, streamlining electronic document execution within its award-winning Total eClose(tm) platform. AutoPrep has been gaining steady adoption since being launched in 2020.

"This year's list of Tech100 honorees proves once again that innovation within housing is vital in differentiating the organizations who will thrive and those who will be left behind," said Clayton Collins, CEO of HW Media. "This list spotlights the innovators that are making the housing sector better and more sustainable by increasing efficiency, improving user and borrower experiences and bringing elasticity and improvements to age-old processes."

Notable is that DocMagic was the first vendor in the mortgage industry to launch a fully paperless eClosing solution, complete with remote notary capability. Total eClose was officially introduced in 2014 and has since become award-winning technology with widespread industry adoption.

Recently Launched LoanMAPS™ LOS Now Integrated with DocMagic Eliminating Need for Disclosure Desk and Closing Department

TORRANCE, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- DocMagic, Inc., the premier provider of fully-compliant loan document preparation, regulatory compliance, and comprehensive eMortgage services, is pleased to announce that it has integrated multiple digital lending solutions with Take Three Technologies' ("Take3") cloud-based and fully-integrated loan origination system (LOS), LoanMAPS™. LoanMAPS - an all-in-one LOS, POS, CRM, and report generator - was introduced to the industry via a soft launch in 2019 and is now commercially available for clients.

The new integration with LoanMAPS empowers clients by eliminating the need for an initial disclosure desk and closing department, which results in reducing the clients' full-time employee count and slashes clients' cost to produce loans. Via the integration, LoanMAPS users can easily and compliantly generate loan documents for borrowers, eSign documents, and will offer eClosing capability. Together, the solutions enhance the initial disclosure process, streamline closings, and provide users with an efficient and simplified mortgage process.

"The integration that we developed with Take3's LoanMAPS LOS is seamless and bi-directional, giving users the ability to harness several of our solutions to optimize the borrower experience, reduce lender costs and ensure compliance," stated Steve Ribultan, director of business development at DocMagic. "We are pleased to partner with Take 3 and extend this offering to mutual lender clients residing on LoanMAPS."

LoanMAPS, a cloud-based LOS, runs completely off a standard internet browser accessible from the user's desktop, laptop computer, or mobile device. Automating the entire lending process for mortgage bankers, LoanMAPS applies AI and sophisticated business logic to implement newfound efficiencies across the system from production through post-closing. Additionally, unlike most commercially available LOSs, LoanMAPS also includes a robust CRM, POS, and Report Generator, which eliminates the need to add third party applications, dramatically lowering the cost to originate loans while maximizing productivity. Take3 encourages clients to take their Cost to Produce Challenge and see how much they could save with LoanMAPS.

"A team of mortgage lenders developed LoanMAPS after decades of experience working with other solutions and realizing the value that having one technology provides in terms of one database and one training system," stated Anita Padilla, CEO of Take 3 Technologies. "LoanMAPS was built by mortgage bankers, for mortgage bankers."

Padilla continued: "From its conception, LoanMAPS was developed with the objective to give lenders the flexibility to grow their volume while saving time and money, alleviating compliance and underwriting guideline concerns, and slashing the total cost to manufacture loans. Working with a proven industry leader like DocMagic enables us to optimize the overall value that LoanMAPS offers."

DocMagic's Audit Engine fully automates data and document validation at all phases throughout the lending process to ensure accuracy and compliance. Continuous automated compliance checks validate that the documents are always generated in compliance with federal, state and investor rules and regulations. The integration with LoanMAPS also ensures that the TRID rules are adhered to at all times, eliminating costly errors.

"The interface between DocMagic and LoanMAPS has been hugely beneficial in streamlining our entire initial document disclosure process and ensuring compliance," said Gail Maes, Vice President of Operations at Megastar Financial. "The ease of use it gives our customers helps elevate the borrower experience and complements the intuitive functionality that LoanMAPS gives our back-office staff."

Take 3 Technologies is also integrating DocMagic's Total eClose™ platform with LoanMAPS. Total eClose automates the entire eClosing process via a single-source solution that guides users through a highly efficient eClosing experience which allows them to securely eSign and eNotarize a loan from anywhere via a simple internet browser. The addition of Total eClose to LoanMAPS saves borrowers significant amounts of time at the closing table and helps lenders enhance the borrower experience.

TORRANCE, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- DocMagic, Inc., the premier provider of fully compliant loan document preparation, automated regulatory compliance, and comprehensive eMortgage services, announced the rollout of eDecision™, a robust solution that significantly expands the level of analysis applied to e-eligibility determination for eClosings. The result is a clear-cut, highly accurate decision that tells users precisely how far they can take a digital closing based on the unique attributes of the loan transaction-all the way down to county-level eRecording acceptance.

eDecision is powered by DocMagic's sophisticated audit engine, which begins the decisioning process as soon as the first set of disclosures are generated-starting as early as the point-of-sale-and continuing with e-eligibility checks throughout the entire loan process. The solution accesses and compiles first-party data, leveraging an immense amount of information to improve the digital closing process.

"Our goal in developing eDecision was straightforward: to help clients execute flawless eClosings and bring a new level of automation to the overall process by providing lenders with an immediate determination of how 'e' they can be," said Dominic Iannitti, president and CEO of DocMagic. "Simply put, eDecision equates to eSuccess for all parties involved in the closing process."

The eDecision solution does not force users to leave DocMagic's platform and visit another website, use a third-party application, or access an ancillary database. Everything eDecision offers is available within DocMagic's core process and is provided as an integral component of the eClosing workflow, ensuring a seamless and efficient eClosing process each and every time.

eDecision's core capabilities:

* eClosing selection - eDecision automatically determines how "e" lenders can be with DocMagic's Total eClose solution, which offers four distinct types of compliant eClosings. From the moment the first document package is generated, the highest level of hybrid available or a fully-paperless eClosing is instantly identified.

* eNote certification - eDecision automatically confirms whether a lender is certified to originate eNotes, is registered with MERS, and has completed their MERS end-to-end testing.

* eRecording readiness - eDecision automatically validates whether the local recording jurisdiction is able to accept an electronically executed security instrument.

* Knowledge-based authentication (KBA) - eDecision automatically confirms whether KBA is required in the closing state where it occurs.

* eNotary acceptance - eDecision automatically identifies which type of notarization is accepted within the jurisdiction: remote online notarization (RON), in-person electronic notarization (IPEN), or traditional in-person notarization.

* Investor acceptance - eDecision will also soon provide a determination whether an investor will purchase an electronically closed loan, saving time for secondary marketing departments.

All analysis and results from eDecision are incorporated into DocMagic's Loan Detail Report (LDR), which is automatically included with all document requests and is widely accepted by most investors as proof of regulatory compliance. Furthermore, DocMagic's audit engine automates data and document validation throughout all phases of the lending process to ensure accuracy while performing continuous compliance checks to ensure strict adherence to applicable rules and regulations.

Iannitti concludes: "At DocMagic, with each innovation we engineer, we strive to eliminate manual processes and improve the overall user experience. We don't want our clients having to go elsewhere to research or rely on disparate third-party systems for what we believe should be a fully-integrated analysis that begins the moment our services are accessed for a particular loan transaction. eDecision gives lenders, settlement providers and notaries a completely integrated digital closing determination process - and the confidence they need to begin offering eClosings on a widespread scale."

Mortgage Professional America Honors Lori Johnson of DocMagic with 2021 Elite Women in Mortgage Award

TORRANCE, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- DocMagic, Inc., the premier provider of fully-compliant loan document preparation, regulatory compliance, and comprehensive eMortgage services, announced that its director of client services, Lori Johnson, has received the 2021 Elite Women in Mortgage award from Mortgage Professional America (MPA).

Now in its fifth year, MPA's Elite Women award celebrates the outstanding achievements of women that work in the mortgage industry. MPA created the award to recognize the exceptional work of women whose efforts and contributions are paving the way for future generations. The award largely looks back at recent accomplishments that are having a positive effect on the mortgage industry.

"Being recognized alongside other accomplished females that are doing exceptional things for the industry is a huge honor for me," stated Johnson. "For years, the outstanding team I work with at DocMagic has been moving mountains to help lenders, settlement providers, investors, and other relevant parties automate manual workflows and remove paper from antiquated processes. I thank the judges at MPA for their research and the hard work of my entire team for making this accolade a reality."

MPA's judges were impressed with Lori's roll-up-your-sleeves leadership style that places the company and customer first, making excellence in service her primary focus. She works passionately and tirelessly to ensure that complex and precision-based eClosing and digital mortgage technology implementations are executed flawlessly, delivering a level of customer satisfaction that lenders and partners rave about.

In particular, Lori is credited with helping DocMagic's lender clients achieve a huge uptick in growth - via eClosing technology. First, the remote implementation model she oversaw was wildly successful in helping lenders clients to go live without disruption to operations during and after the pandemic.

Second, she successfully transitioned her entire team virtually overnight to a work-from-home (WFH) environment where they were able to execute tasks just as effectively as when they were at DocMagic's headquarters.

Of note is that Lori's efforts helped DocMagic land on the 2021 Inc. 5000 list, with a 67 percent three-year growth rate from 2017 to 2020. More and more lenders in the mortgage industry are now seeing the immense value of automating the closing process from start to finish. This has helped tremendously with adoption of this component of the digital mortgage workflow --- fully paperless closings.

DocMagic will close 2021 out with another banner year in sales, new client implementations, solution enhancements, seamless integrations, and more. Company officials say 2022 will be another strong year for technology innovation in the mortgage industry.
