DocMagic Officially Launches eDecision™, Fully Automating and Perfecting Digital Closing Eligibility

TORRANCE, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- DocMagic, Inc., the premier provider of fully compliant loan document preparation, automated regulatory compliance, and comprehensive eMortgage services, announced the rollout of eDecision™, a robust solution that significantly expands the level of analysis applied to e-eligibility determination for eClosings. The result is a clear-cut, highly accurate decision that tells users precisely how far they can take a digital closing based on the unique attributes of the loan transaction-all the way down to county-level eRecording acceptance.

eDecision is powered by DocMagic's sophisticated audit engine, which begins the decisioning process as soon as the first set of disclosures are generated-starting as early as the point-of-sale-and continuing with e-eligibility checks throughout the entire loan process. The solution accesses and compiles first-party data, leveraging an immense amount of information to improve the digital closing process.

"Our goal in developing eDecision was straightforward: to help clients execute flawless eClosings and bring a new level of automation to the overall process by providing lenders with an immediate determination of how 'e' they can be," said Dominic Iannitti, president and CEO of DocMagic. "Simply put, eDecision equates to eSuccess for all parties involved in the closing process."

The eDecision solution does not force users to leave DocMagic's platform and visit another website, use a third-party application, or access an ancillary database. Everything eDecision offers is available within DocMagic's core process and is provided as an integral component of the eClosing workflow, ensuring a seamless and efficient eClosing process each and every time.

eDecision's core capabilities:

* eClosing selection - eDecision automatically determines how "e" lenders can be with DocMagic's Total eClose solution, which offers four distinct types of compliant eClosings. From the moment the first document package is generated, the highest level of hybrid available or a fully-paperless eClosing is instantly identified.

* eNote certification - eDecision automatically confirms whether a lender is certified to originate eNotes, is registered with MERS, and has completed their MERS end-to-end testing.

* eRecording readiness - eDecision automatically validates whether the local recording jurisdiction is able to accept an electronically executed security instrument.

* Knowledge-based authentication (KBA) - eDecision automatically confirms whether KBA is required in the closing state where it occurs.

* eNotary acceptance - eDecision automatically identifies which type of notarization is accepted within the jurisdiction: remote online notarization (RON), in-person electronic notarization (IPEN), or traditional in-person notarization.

* Investor acceptance - eDecision will also soon provide a determination whether an investor will purchase an electronically closed loan, saving time for secondary marketing departments.

All analysis and results from eDecision are incorporated into DocMagic's Loan Detail Report (LDR), which is automatically included with all document requests and is widely accepted by most investors as proof of regulatory compliance. Furthermore, DocMagic's audit engine automates data and document validation throughout all phases of the lending process to ensure accuracy while performing continuous compliance checks to ensure strict adherence to applicable rules and regulations.

Iannitti concludes: "At DocMagic, with each innovation we engineer, we strive to eliminate manual processes and improve the overall user experience. We don't want our clients having to go elsewhere to research or rely on disparate third-party systems for what we believe should be a fully-integrated analysis that begins the moment our services are accessed for a particular loan transaction. eDecision gives lenders, settlement providers and notaries a completely integrated digital closing determination process - and the confidence they need to begin offering eClosings on a widespread scale."

DocMagic Unveils eSign 3.0, Enhancing Remote Notary and eClosing Capabilities

TORRANCE, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- DocMagic, Inc., the premier provider of fully compliant loan document preparation, automated regulatory compliance, and comprehensive eMortgage services, announced the official launch of its eSign 3.0 platform. The enhancements to the mortgage industry's preeminent eSigning platform introduce new tools and features designed to enable lenders to easily facilitate remote online notarization (RON) for paperless eClosings.

Among eSign 3.0's new features is a secure eClose portal that enables notary and settlement service providers to easily access and update closing document packages. When documents are added by the closing agent or notary, DocMagic's AutoPrep(tm) functionality instantly prepares the uploaded documents for electronic execution.

In addition to new RON and eClosing capabilities, signer functionality has been dramatically improved with eSign 3.0. With a growing percentage of borrowers using their mobile devices to participate in the mortgage process, eSign 3.0 offers a much more intuitive - and therefore easier - experience for borrowers.

"We developed eSign 3.0 by making the borrower experience our primary focus," said Dominic Iannitti, president and CEO of DocMagic. "The workflow takes both the user's physical and emotional experiences into account. We paid close attention to the way users physically handle their phones as well as their emotional responses to technology. The result is a far more statisfying borrower experience."

Other benefits of the updated platform include built-in knowledge-based authentication and identity validation; a redesigned workflow to give borrowers additional time to read and review documents in a single, centralized view; an accelerated signing phase where intuitive tools track progress at every stage; and full oversight until all documents are executed. The platform's integrated progress-tracking tools can be used on a computer or mobile device to keep borrowers aware of their progress every step of the way.

"It all starts with a robust API," said Iannitti. "eSign 3.0 is powered by a comprehensive suite of web services designed specifically for seamless integrations. The end result is that eSign 3.0 makes borrowers feel more connected and informed, so they're confident about working with their lender and walk away having enjoyed a more positive and memorable engagement."

The eSign 3.0 platform leverages the company's suite of eMortgage solutions, including components of its end-to-end Total eClose(tm) platform, dynamic document and MISMO Category 1 SMART Doc(r) eNote generation, automatic eNote registration with MERS(r), and secure storage within its certified eVault.

eSign 3.0 also incorporates DocMagic's AutoPrep(tm) technology to instantly identify signatures, initials and notary regions on documents added to the closing package by settlement and title agents, and automatically applies the essential e-tag information required to facilitate electronic execution. This eliminates the labor intensive and error-prone process of manually preparing documents for electronic execution.

The company will be showing demonstrations of its solution suite at the MBA Annual Convention and Expo in San Diego from Oct. 17 - 19, booth 314.

DocMagic Named to Inc. 5000 List of Fastest-Growing Private Companies

TORRANCE, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- DocMagic, Inc., the premier provider of fully compliant loan document preparation, automated regulatory compliance, and comprehensive eMortgage services, announced that it has been named to the 2021 Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in the country.

The Inc. 5000 ranks companies by overall revenue growth over a three-year period. Over the past three years, DocMagic achieved a growth rate of 67 percent, due in large part to dramatic increases in adoption of the company's award-winning Total eClose(tm) solution among mortgage lenders.

In the last 18 months, as mortgage lenders faced unprecedented challenges brought on by the pandemic, they increasingly turned to DocMagic's digital mortgage advisory services, remote implementation model, and strategic approach to automating new workflows. DocMagic's extensive subject matter expertise combined with its single-source Total eClose platform has helped numerous lenders successfully meet the many demands of a rapidly changing, high volume market.

"DocMagic has been a market leader for years, so lenders naturally turn to us first when they want to elevate their processes or need to adapt to new circumstances, and that's exactly what's happened since the start of the pandemic," said Dominic Iannitti, president and CEO of DocMagic. "We're proud of our market strength, which is demonstrated in our three-year growth rate."

An industry pioneer of eMortgage solutions and services, DocMagic launched the industry's first end-to-end eClosing solution in 2014, which included complete automation of the process along with dynamic docs with embedded eSignature capability, data integrity, SMART Doc(r) eNote generation, continuous compliance, and eNotary technology - all from within its single-source platform.

DocMagic has also been recognized for having the highest customer satisfaction levels and greatest adoption of its eClosing solution, as ranked by multiple independent third-party mortgage technology studies.

"We're honored to be named to the 2021 Inc. 5000 list among so many innovative and accomplished companies," said Iannitti. "Early on, we invested heavily in R&D to engineer the right blend of digital mortgage and eClosing technologies. DocMagic's ongoing growth reflects the diligent work and unwavering efforts of our entire company."

"The 2021 Inc. 5000 list feels like one of the most important rosters of companies ever compiled," says Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc. "Building one of the fastest-growing companies in America in any year is a remarkable achievement. Building one in the crisis we've lived through is just plain amazing. This kind of accomplishment comes with hard work, smart pivots, great leadership, and the help of a whole lot of people."

The Inc. 5000 list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the U.S. economy's most dynamic segment, independent small businesses. Intuit, Dell, LinkedIn, Zillow, Zappos, Microsoft, Patagonia, and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000.

Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found at www.inc.com/inc5000.

Inc. Methodology

Companies on the 2021 Inc. 5000 are ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2017 to 2020. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2017. They must be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent - not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies - as of December 31, 2020. (Since then, some on the list may have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2017 is $100,000; the minimum for 2020 is $2 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons. Growth rates used to determine company rankings were calculated to three decimal places. There was one tie on this year's Inc. 5000. Companies on the Inc. 5000 are featured in Inc.'s September issue. They represent the top tier of the Inc. 5000, which can be found at http://www.inc.com/inc5000.

DocMagic to Give Away its Popular Bunny Slippers to Donors at Upcoming Los Angeles-Area Blood Drive

TORRANCE, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- DocMagic, Inc., the premier provider of fully-compliant loan document preparation, automated regulatory compliance and comprehensive eMortgage services, announced that it will be offering its signature pink bunny slippers to each person that donates blood at an upcoming mobile blood drive on Sunday, May 16, in downtown Los Angeles.

The blood drive is being held by non-profit organization Golden Heart LA in conjunction with Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) to help patients. A single pint of blood can save up to two patients' lives, according to the hospital.

Every month, CHLA patients need approximately 2,000 units of blood and blood components as part of the life-saving care provided at the hospital. To provide these units to patients, CHLA collects blood from approximately 800 blood donors per month. Nearly 90 percent of the blood transfused at the hospital comes directly from its donor center. CHLA says that in order to cover patient use, it requires continued blood donations to sustain the needs of patients.

EVENT DETAILS:

* What: Mobile blood drive

* When: Sunday, May 16, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. PDT

* Where: Onsite Bus - 530 Ramirez Street; Los Angeles, Calif. 90012 (Denny's Parking Lot)

Golden Heart LA is dedicated to helping children who suffer from life-threatening diseases, disabilities, and illnesses. The organization regularly works with CHLA and other entities to hold blood drives at various locations throughout Southern California.

DocMagic was founded in 1987 by Dominic Iannitti and has developed a reputation of getting involved in events that help charitable causes, especially those pertaining to children. The company's long-time mascot, named "Doc," is a novel bunny that has become a recognizable part of its brand within the mortgage industry.

Notable is that the genesis behind the bunny slippers started in 2016 when they were officially introduced at a mortgage technology convention in Los Angeles to celebrate the release of DocMagic's Total eClose™ eClosing system. Hundreds of conference attendees wore the slippers, which symbolized comfort and borrowers' newfound ability to easily close a mortgage loan electronically in the comfort of their own homes.

As a result of the pandemic, DocMagic's eClosing solution has been paramount to ensuring the safety of consumers by eliminating the need for borrowers to travel and sign loan documents in person.

DocMagic's slippers have grown in popularity over the years after being provided at the Total eClose product launch as well as other events and special occasions. Typically pink in color, the latest version of the slippers has been switched to purple to represent DocMagic's corporate branding. They are regularly given to good causes as a way of saying "thank you" to volunteers and participants.

More details about the one-day event are available on Golden Heart LA's Instagram page @GoldenHeartLA. Appointments can be made by visiting Children's Hospital Los Angeles's blood donation website https://www.chladonateblood.org/ or by calling 323-361-2441.

Amid Ongoing Work-From-Home Requirements, DocMagic Provides its eSign Technology at Zero Cost to Boost Employee Productivity

TORRANCE, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- DocMagic, Inc., the premier provider of fully-compliant loan document preparation, regulatory compliance and comprehensive eMortgage services, announced it has made an agnostic version of its eSign technology available for free in order to help organizations increase productivity, efficiency and compliance among work-from-home employees during COVID-19 stay-at-home orders as well as after they are lifted. DocMagic is the leader in eSign technology within the mortgage industry, having executed more than 300 million eSign transactions and counting.

Nearly every company relies on signed documents in some part of its core business activities. These agreements often require signatures from multiple parties. Documents are often printed several times, then faxed or emailed, making the process not only cumbersome, laborious and time consuming, but prone to risk as well. Over the past several months, since the inception of social distancing requirements of the COVID-19 pandemic, companies are finding that signing and securely delivering these documents in a timely manner has become a challenge.

DocMagic's eSign technology is traditionally used by mortgage loan borrowers to compliantly eSign initial mortgage loan document disclosures and closing documents. However, DocMagic has modified the platform, making it document agnostic, enabling it to easily handle the execution of important documents such as contracts, NDAs, LOIs and virtually any other agreement, to be electronically signed and legally binding.

"As stay-at-home orders began to open up in more states, large numbers of home-based workers in all industries will continue with the telecommute model and thus continue facing challenges with signing and executing documents," said Dominic Iannitti, president and CEO at DocMagic. "Many employees are using makeshift home offices that lack the hardware, devices, and software to facilitate compliant e-signings. Fortunately, DocMagic is in a great position to help with a proven platform used in one of the strictest, most highly regulated industries. Our eSign technology allows companies to circumvent wet signings, back-and-forth emails, and scanning or faxing documents, for a proven, highly secure, compliant electronic platform."

DocMagic's eSign platform makes electronically signing documents a snap - without the need for any hardware or software. It's 100 percent web-based, easy-to-use, requires no installation or maintenance whatsoever, and can be securely accessed via any device with an internet connection. DocMagic eSign also provides for the secure capture of electronic signatures for all documents stored in the PDF file format. Documents are digitally sealed and access is provided to all parties with audit trail capabilities, document versioning, tracking, and email notifications.

In a recent Zillow survey conducted by The Harris Poll, more than half of employed Americans (56 percent) have had the opportunity to work from home, and a vast majority want to continue, at least occasionally, according to the poll. Among Americans working from home because of the pandemic, 75 percent said they would prefer to continue to do so at least half the time, if given the option, after the pandemic subsides. And two-thirds (66 percent) of those employees said they would be at least somewhat likely to consider moving if they had the flexibility to work from home as often as they want.

Iannitti adds: "We believe that even after stay-at-home orders are gradually lifted, there will still be a significant number of businesses that find the telecommute model to be pragmatic, efficient, and cost effective. After the COVID-19 pandemic slowly winds down, we still want to make our eSign technology available for free. It's our ongoing way of giving back in order to help companies remain as successful as possible."

To clarify, DocMagic's free offer pertains to the agnostic eSign solution only, not mortgage-specific eSignings involving the company's dynamic loan document generation service. Interested organizations can learn more by contacting DocMagic at sales@docmagic.com or call (800) 649-1362.

DocMagic Launches AutoPrep Technology, Enabling Total eClose™ to Accept Documents from Any Provider for Paperless eClosings

TORRANCE, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- DocMagic, Inc., the premier provider of fully-compliant loan document preparation, regulatory compliance and comprehensive eMortgage services, today announced the launch of AutoPrep, a new technology that enables the company's Total eClose™ platform to accept documents from any source - including non-e-enabled documents.

AutoPrep leverages sophisticated artificial intelligence, OCR and machine learning technologies to scan and parse documents, locate all signature and notary regions, then electronically tag them for eClosing, thus changing any document into a fully e-enabled document in seconds. As a result, lenders can use loan documents produced by virtually any document provider, from standard documents to partially e-enabled documents, with Total eClose and benefit from the technology's end-to-end, 100 percent paperless eClosing process.

AutoPrep can learn the nuances of specific documents and adjust accordingly going forward, identify whether signatures are improperly placed or missing, find e-tags placed by other providers, and even read documents that have been partially but not fully converted into e-enabled documents. In addition, because AutoPrep flags documents when it identifies situations that are outside the norm, closing personnel can be more productive by managing exceptions, rather than combing over every page of a document package.

"With AutoPrep, there isn't a single document that cannot be converted into a compliant e-enabled document and brought into Total eClose for electronic signature," said Dominic Iannitti, CEO of DocMagic. "While eClosings are more efficient, compliant, and enable the level of service consumers expect, they aren't as common as they should be. One reason is that some lenders are tied to systems that don't produce e-enabled documents. With AutoPrep, lenders can transition more quickly to an eClosing workflow bringing efficiency, consistency and significant improvement to the user experience."

AutoPrep is a feature of DocMagic's Total eClose platform, which was recognized as the mortgage industry's leading eClosing technology based on market share, overall satisfaction, and lender loyalty in STRATMOR Group's 2019 Mortgage Technology Insight Study. A comprehensive solution, it delivers a completely paperless workflow and seamlessly integrates every component of the closing process.

"DocMagic is known for its commitment to moving the mortgage industry forward with advancements like a 100 percent paperless end-to-end eClosing process," said Iannitti. "As the industry's eClosing leader, we are positioned to fill the gaps left by less advanced technologies. AutoPrep solves the longstanding and frustrating challenge that lenders face when they want to advance to eClosing, but are held back by their technology providers."

To learn more about AutoPrep, interested parties can sign up for a brief online demo of the new solution by emailing sales@docmagic.com.

NotaryCam-DocMagic Integration Delivers Remote Online Notarization, eClosing Capabilities for Mid America Mortgage

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- NotaryCam(R), the leader in online notarization solutions, today announced that eMortgage pioneer Mid America Mortgage is now using the firm's integration with DocMagic, Inc., the premier provider of fully-compliant loan document preparation, regulatory compliance and comprehensive eMortgage services, to conduct remote online notarizations (RONs) through DocMagic's Total eClose(TM) platform. Mid America will leverage the integration throughout its retail, correspondent and wholesale channels.

"Since 2016, Mid America's strategy has been 'digital first.' As a result, we have been able to condense our application-to-closing time down to just two weeks and our closing ceremony to 30 minutes or less with our digital mortgage product Click n' Close," said Mid America Owner and CEO Jeff Bode. "RON allows us to double down on our closing efficiency while also providing additional convenience to our customers. The addition of NotaryCam's remote notary services through our established eClosing partner DocMagic enables us to extend the value we've experienced to date through our digital mortgage strategy."

To date, NotaryCam has conducted more than 160,000 RON transactions for individuals located in all 50 states and 90 countries. Thanks to RON bills that have been passed by multiple states, Texas included, NotaryCam's team of highly trained and experienced notaries are able to remotely eNotarize mortgage loan documents or other paperwork for individuals across the country using NotaryCam's secure, easy-to-use platform. The system does not restrict the number of participants that can join a RON ceremony, allowing all relevant parties to participate in the transaction.

"Until recently, mortgage closings still required participants to physically congregate in a single location to complete the transaction. Today, RON enables lenders and settlement agents to eliminate the closing table without losing the personal connection of the closing ceremony," said NotaryCam Founder and CEO Rick Triola. "The value of the convenience that RON provides cannot be overstated, and it would behoove mortgage and settlement professionals to incorporate RON into their existing closing process."

Total eClose is DocMagic's comprehensive end-to-end eClosing solution. The integration with NotaryCam, which was first announced in September 2018, allows Mid America Mortgage and Click n' Close to eNotarize documents remotely using NotaryCam's RON service, eliminating the need for home buyers and sellers to physically appear before a notary to wet-sign loan documents.

"We continue to focus on implementing seamless digital closing solutions for our customers," stated Dominic Iannitti, president and CEO of DocMagic. "Mid America's accelerated processes highlight the benefits DocMagic delivers for both lenders and borrowers. The added efficiency of NotaryCam's RON solution is the logical next step and a key component to achieving 100% paperless eClosing transactions."

About NotaryCam:

After pioneering the world's first multi-party/multi-state remote online notarization (RON), career real estate executive Rick Triola founded NotaryCam and completed the first mortgage remote online closing (ROC) in 2014. QRL Leverages DocMagic’s eVault Technology to Purchase eNotes from Correspondent Clients

ANAHEIM, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- Annual CUNA Lending Council Conference -- DocMagic, Inc., the premier provider of fully-compliant loan document preparation, regulatory compliance and comprehensive eMortgage services, announced that QRL Financial Services (QRL), a nationwide provider of residential mortgage lending services for community banks and credit unions, has leveraged its eVault technology to purchase eNotes. The announcement was made during the 24th Annual CUNA Lending Council Conference at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, Calif.

Implementing an eVault means QRL can increase new business by extending its reach to lenders that are ready to implement eClosings and sell eNotes. In addition to providing improved service, they will competitively position themselves for the future. The deal will make QRL one of the first investors outside of the GSEs to begin purchasing eNotes.

"QRL is a farsighted organization, and by implementing eVault technology now, they stand to capitalize on marketplace opportunities as eNotes continue to gain adoption," stated Dominic Iannitti, president and CEO of DocMagic. "We tend to partner with early adopters like QRL, who will reap the benefits of their industry insight. We look forward to the success they realize by utilizing our eVault and supporting technology."

Because QRL is using DocMagic's SmartDocs, all documents retain a tamper evident seal to ensure data and document integrity. Using static documents, that don't include SmartDoc transactional (XML) metadata, means some organizations have the difficult, costly and time-consuming task of confirming that data and documents are in sync.

"Offering a truly paperless solution is the future. Consumers will expect and demand a closing experience that is more timely, convenient and informative," says Alex Rivera, managing director at QRL Financial Services. "QRL's ability to purchase and service eNotes will allow the credit unions and community banks that we service to stay ahead of the technology curve as they compete with the larger institutions in the race to improve the mortgage experience."

The solution will also create greater secondary market process efficiencies because of reduced cycle times. QRL will be able to fund faster with fewer post-closing document issues.

DocMagic and QRL will be attending the 24th Annual CUNA Lending Council Conference from October 28-31, 2018 at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, Calif. The companies can be contacted at michael@docmagic.com for DocMagic and sales@qrlfinancial.com for QRL.

DocMagic and NotaryCam Integrate to Eliminate Reliance on In-Person Notarizations for Paperless eClosings

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- DocMagic, Inc., the premier provider of fully-compliant loan document preparation, regulatory compliance and comprehensive eMortgage services, and NotaryCam(R), the leader in online notarization solutions, announced an integration that eliminates the need to wet-sign loan documents in the physical presence of a notary by allowing loan documents to be quickly and compliantly eNotarized online.

The integration works inside Total eClose(TM), DocMagic's comprehensive end-to-end eClosing solution. It allows customers to initiate eNotarizations using NotaryCam's remote service with just a few clicks, thus extending the convenience of a fully online eClosing experience through notarization - the final step in loan closing - without any hard stops or papering out.

"More and more states are permitting remote online notarization and as they do, we can expect to see consumer demand and expectation for remote eNotarizations to grow," said Dominic Iannitti, president and CEO of DocMagic. "This integration allows DocMagic customers to meet consumer demand without any delays, which is a big part of our value proposition for all DocMagic products."

The Mortgage Bankers Association has been collaborating with the American Land Title Association (ALTA) to prepare model legislation that would provide a framework for any state to adopt remote online notarization processes.

"Mortgage eClosings have progressed incrementally, and both DocMagic and NotaryCam have been pioneers and champions in the adoption the industry has achieved-so this integration is a natural fit," said Rick Triola, founder and CEO of NotaryCam. "Our companies are very similar in what we deliver: the industry's most flexible and customer-friendly experiences, backed by unfaltering accuracy, data integrity and compliance. We are looking forward to moving the industry forward, together."

Prior to the addition of NotaryCam, DocMagic's Total eClose solution supported eNotarizations by leveraging in-person notaries equipped with electronic notary signing technology, which it will continue to offer in addition to remote online notarizations, where permitted. Both DocMagic and NotaryCam are approved eMortgage technology vendors with the GSEs, having passed an extensive approval process.

About NotaryCam:

NotaryCam is the leader in online notarization and mortgage eClosing solutions. Freddie Mac Expands eMortgage Solutions with DocMagic’s eVault Technology to Store and Control eNotes

TORRANCE, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- DocMagic, Inc., the premier provider of fully-compliant loan document preparation, regulatory compliance and comprehensive eMortgage services, announced today that Freddie Mac has implemented its SaaS-based eVault technology and SmartREGISTRY(TM) platform.

DocMagic's eVault provides a secure electronic repository for storing documents and performing automated eNote certification to Freddie Mac eMortgage lenders via Loan Selling Advisor(R). By automating the eNote certification process, Freddie Mac will speed the funding process, thereby improving liquidity in the mortgage markets and reducing lender's warehouse line costs.

"Freddie Mac is committed to streamlining the mortgage process for lenders and borrowers, and has been a leader in purchasing eMortgages since 2006," said Andy Higgenbotham, Freddie Mac's Single Family Chief Operating Officer. "We rolled out our automated certification process in 2015 to speed up the funding process, thereby improving liquidity in the mortgage markets and reducing lender's warehouse line costs. We are now expanding this process to include the DocMagic platform."

DocMagic's eVault provides safe and secure storage for sensitive loan documents. It also automatically parses and validates data in a SmartDoc eNote against data in the user's core system of record. Additionally, DocMagic's SmartREGISTRY platform enables holders of eNotes to securely transfer these electronic documents to other eVault systems, such as those used by investors, conduit aggregators and servicers. Ultimately, it facilitates real-time access, delivery, storage and much needed control of electronic loan files.

"Freddie Mac has been a long-time visionary and champion of eMortgages over the years and has made great strides with their unwavering commitment to automation across the supply chain," stated Dominic Iannitti, president and CEO at DocMagic. "Now, with the successful rollout of SmartDoc eNote data validation prior to funding, this demonstrates the advantages and a clear-cut ROI of going completely 'e.' We look forward to ongoing collaboration with Freddie Mac and to further adoption of the digital mortgage process."

Notable is that that Freddie Mac encourages the use of 'SMART' (securable, manageable, archivable, retrievable, transferable) eNotes because static documents do not contain source data, and thus make it difficult, costly and time consuming to confirm the data on documents match.

DocMagic established a process that guides lenders on how to begin using SmartDoc eNotes. The company's eVault technology is integrated with its Total eClose(TM) platform, which is a comprehensive eClosing solution that creates a 100 percent paperless digital mortgage process - from origination through eClosing, eWarehouse lending, investor eDelivery and eServicing.

DocMagic’s UCD Technology Solution Now Supports Both Phases of Upcoming UCD Requirements

TORRANCE, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- DocMagic, Inc., the mortgage industry's leading provider of document production, automated compliance and comprehensive eMortgage services, announced that its technologies are now capable of supporting both phases of the upcoming UCD (Uniform Closing Dataset) requirement.

The company's technology solutions, which have been certified by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac for both phases of the UCD file delivery mandate, enable lenders to start immediate testing of full UCD delivery-well in advance of the phase one 2017 deadline and the phase two 2018 deadline-as has been recommended by both GSEs.

The Uniform Closing Dataset (UCD) is a common industry dataset that allows information on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's (CFPB's) Closing Disclosure to be communicated electronically.

On September 25, 2017, the GSEs will require lenders to deliver borrower data and the Closing Disclosure in the UCD file. Later, in 2018, the second phase of the mandate will require seller data to be included as well. However, according to a joint statement issued by the GSEs, both Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are recommending that lenders start to "submit files with both Borrower and Seller data, if available, in order to test their processes and become familiar with the messaging from each GSE's collection system."

DocMagic's technology solutions allow lenders to fulfill the GSEs' recommendation by generating and compliantly delivering UCD files that include both borrower and seller data to the GSEs. DocMagic can also accept UCD XML data from third parties and deliver it to the GSEs. In addition, the company offers an API for direct, seamless connection to the GSEs' technologies.

"At DocMagic we went above and beyond attaining the initial GSE UCD certification because we want our customers to have the option to implement the GSE-recommended testing, which allows them to implement phase two requirements now," says Tim Anderson, director of eServices at DocMagic. "Phase one addresses the XML file for the borrower CD and associated data, but the GSEs have definitively recommended that lenders complete everything before the phase one September 25, 2017 deadline. We find that lenders that are serious about sustained profitability and growth tend to follow GSE recommendations and take action ahead of time. Now with DocMagic, all of our lender clients have that option."

To assist lender clients in preparing to meet the entire UCD mandate, DocMagic recently launched its 'UCD Control Center,' a one-stop, go-to resource for everything lenders need to know about the UCD requirement. It offers tools, documentation, interactive communication for Q&A, webinars, updates, and most importantly the ability for lenders to test for the entire UCD mandate ahead of the complete 2018 deadline.

The company says its goal is to have the bulk of its clients fully prepared to meet the requirements for both phases this year.

"Our customers and partners rely on us to do everything we can to assure they transact the safest, most compliant loans-and helping them prepare for a major new mandate like the UCD requirement is no different," said Dominic Iannitti, CEO of DocMagic. "Lenders, settlement providers and other organizations must prepare now or run the precarious risk of being unable to sell their loans. DocMagic is proud to be leading the way, yet again, to help them avert these costly risks."

DocMagic Announces ‘eQC’ Automated Due Diligence Solution for Investors and Correspondent Lenders

loan document preparation

TORRANCE, Calif., May 12, 2016 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- DocMagic, Inc., the premier provider of fully-compliant loan document preparation, compliance, eSign and eDelivery solutions, announced the formal launch of its fully integrated "eQC" solution that automates due diligence for investors and correspondent lenders. eQC provides a complete closed loan MISMO 3.3/UCD XML data file, an automated compliance report, and a detailed audit trail with a document integrity certification that certifies that the XML data provided and documents match prior to investor delivery.

The automated compliance component of eQC includes a complete electronic record of compliance that arms investors and correspondent lenders with a detailed audit trail that eliminates concerns over future TRID audits and violations.

Moody's Investor Services, Inc. compiled a report that revealed more than 90 percent of loans reviewed by third party due diligence firms were not TRID compliant. Since that time, outstanding issues with TRID have been adversely affecting the secondary market's appetite to purchase loans. Concerns over potential assignee liability can result in loans remaining on warehouse lines for longer periods, extending lock periods, placing loans into suspension, and even potentially affecting the credit rating for mortgage bonds that are included in future RMBS pools.

"The CFPB requires all parties involved in the mortgage finance transaction to demonstrate evidence of TRID compliance," asserts Tim Anderson, director of eServices at DocMagic. "Our new eQC solution gives investors and correspondent lenders warranted electronic evidence of compliance with TRID and other critical regulations, and ensures that the audited data is exactly the same data that appears on the documents disclosed to the borrower. This is really the holy grail of automated due diligence compliance."

eQC also provides compliance data on federal regulations like high cost, QM, ATR, as well as applicable state regulations. It works by leveraging DocMagic's sophisticated audit engine, which determines if a condition is out of compliance. The audit engine immediately flags the causes of any issues for the user, directs the user to a link with information on where and how to fix it, and then verifies that the error was corrected. A full date and time stamped audit trail is created by following a consistent data validation process that runs over 10,000 compliance rules and edits designed to verify and validate legal compliance throughout the loan origination process.

This audit trail also provides full date and time stamp tracking of all borrower disclosures, a complete record of the compliance checks and conditions performed on the loan, and the complete MISMO 3.3/UCD XML data file. The XML data file can be used to electronically board and re-verify compliance at any time in the future through a tool set API that enables high speed access to this due diligence functionality.

"With over 8,000 originators running millions of closed loans through DocMagic's compliance portal each year, eQC leverages the long-standing industry acceptance of our compliance solutions to bring our correspondent lenders and investors true automated proof of compliance," said Dominic Iannitti, president and CEO of DocMagic.

DocMagic Wins 2016 Innovation Award for its SmartCLOSE TRID Collaborative Closing Portal

loan document preparation

TORRANCE, Calif., April 27, 2016 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- DocMagic, Inc., the premier provider of fully-compliant loan document preparation, compliance, eSign and eDelivery solutions, announced that PROGRESS in Lending presented the company with one of its annual Innovation Awards for the development and widely successful launch of its industry-leading SmartCLOSE(TM) collaborative closing portal for TRID compliance. DocMagic was one of only seven recipients to receive the honor out of numerous applicants.

The Innovation Awards were presented to the winners at a ceremony held by the mortgage technology focused PROGRESS in Lending Association at the MBA's National Technology Mortgage Banking conference held in Los Angeles, California. Judges scored applications using a weighted scale that focuses on achievements over a 12 month period for each innovation's overall industry significance, originality, positive change on the industry, intangible efficiencies gained, and hard return on investment.

PROGRESS in Lending cited the primary reason DocMagic won the award, was that early on the company developed a second-to-none, comprehensive solution that effectively addresses the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's (CFPB) introduction of the TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure (TRID) rule, which is backed by numerous testimonials and extensive metrics. Notable is that DocMagic IS one of the few vendors that reps and warrant its documents, the APR, Loan Estimate and Closing Disclosure calculations. In addition, DocMagic offers a one-of-a-kind insurance-backed TRID compliance guarantee of up to $5 million.

"Many technology vendors simply jumped on the TRID bandwagon, announcing very light solutions that lack core functionality and were unable to automate the new process from start to finish and ensure 100 percent compliance," said Dominic Iannitti, president and CEO of DocMagic. "SmartCLOSE leverages our long-standing, sophisticated compliance and document management technology to bring lenders, settlement providers and other relevant parties together inside a secure collaborative portal to share, edit, validate, audit, track, and collaborate on documents, data, and fees."
