Stack Sports launches Stack Rewards to Save Youth Sports Families $100M

DALLAS, Texas /ScoopCloud/ -- Stack Sports, the leading provider of youth sports software has launched a new rewards program delivering significant savings to youth sports families in the United States and North America. With Stack Rewards, families can earn cashback on everyday shopping and access special offers and deals to help pay for sports, resulting in projected savings of $100 million annually.

The current economic challenges that families are experiencing with increased prices on everyday goods create a real dilemma when it comes time to register children for youth sports. Recognizing this issue, Stack Sports has developed Stack Rewards as a proactive solution to alleviate financial burdens and put money back in the pockets of sports families.

Stack Rewards will launch to over 10 million families in the Stack Sports ecosystem this year to give cashback to families on everyday purchases they already make at retailers like Walmart, Nike, Old Navy, and Target. The average family spends over $9k on groceries alone, using Stack Rewards they could earn over $180 cashback to offset the cost of equipment, travel, or registration fees at their local club. This is just one of many ways the program will give back to families through purchases they are already making.

FlipGive will help power the Stack Rewards cashback shopping platform along with Stack ecosystem rewards that families will earn by using Stack Sports software products.

"Youth sports have never been more expensive, especially as families feel the pressures of double-digit inflation. 44% of parents say they struggle to fund their kids' sports and activities," said Amy Halpenny, CEO of FlipGive. "We are proud to provide Stack Sports an embedded rewards solution that gives sports families a fast, free, and easy way to earn cashback on everyday shopping so they can play more and spend less on the sports they love."

Stack Rewards underscores Stack Sports' commitment to advancing youth sports participation and fostering a supportive and inclusive sports community. By providing families with access to substantial savings through Stack Rewards, Stack Sports aims to remove financial barriers and ensure that every child has the opportunity to experience the many benefits of sports participation.

"We are thrilled to introduce Stack Rewards to help lower the cost of youth sports and support our mission to grow participation and transform the sports experience," said Brandon Shangraw, SVP of Marketing and Innovation at Stack Sports. "By harnessing the power of our scale and partnerships, Stack Rewards has the potential to save families over $100 million annually, allowing more families to participate in sports and pursue their athletic dreams."

Stack Rewards has launched through a 'Shop & Earn' tab within Stack Team App and later will appear in products like Sports Connect and CaptainU. In the first week of the program, over 10 thousand families have already signed up for Stack Rewards.

According to the Aspen Institute's State of Play 2023: "More attention is being paid to the role that positive sports experiences can have on a child's mental health, given that 42% of high school students today say they have experienced persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness. That's up from 28% a decade ago. While all teens report increased mental health challenges, girls fare worse than boys."

The panel will delve into this complex landscape, exploring strategies to nurture physical prowess and the mental fortitude necessary for young athletes everywhere to thrive on and off the field.

"The GOALS Council embodies growth, organization, advancement, and learning in soccer, making it the perfect conduit to dive into key issues affecting youth sports," said Frances Fabian, Head of Partner Engagement at Sports Connect. "We are enthusiastic about this upcoming discussion and looking forward to creating actionable solutions at the community, regional, and national levels of soccer to drive positive change in the sport."

Sports Parenting Email Newsletter Surpasses 3.5M Subscribers, Now the most read Newsletter in Youth Sports

PLANO, Texas /ScoopCloud/ -- Six months ago iSport360 partnered with Stack Sports to launch a free weekly newsletter which has now become the largest sports parenting newsletter in youth sports today. With 3.5 million sports parent readers, many of whom are also coaches and sports organizers, the newsletter focuses on helping families play more and worry less. The curated newsletter includes stories about understanding the sports parent psyche, helping coaches and parents work together, nurturing empowered young athletes, nutrition and hydration for a healthy athlete, supporting players' physical and mental health, and so much more.

Why is this important and necessary?

Today's sports parents are heavily invested in their kids' activities both financially and emotionally. With over 60 million kids playing organized sports in the US, there are millions of parents seeking quality information, trusted guidance, empathy, and some light-hearted humor to help them be a positive force for their athletes.

"Like so many sports parents and volunteer coaches, my inbox is bombarded with sales and marketing emails disguised as helpful newsletters. We wanted to provide a genuinely free, helpful, positive, and fun newsletter that sports parents would value and engage with," said Ian Goldberg, CEO of iSport360 and Editor of the newsletter.

"We know that the health and success of athletes in Youth Sports is heavily impacted by how parents view and interact with sports. We want to help parents sift through the noise to find quality content that can help them," said Brandon Shangraw, SVP of Innovation and Marketing. "For us, this is more than a newsletter, it's an opportunity to help families play more while ensuring the next generation of athletes have fun while competing."

With an average engagement rate of 65%, the newsletter is not only well-received by readers but also by world-class companies that want to support the youth sports community. Sponsors such as Marriott, Avis, Junior Achievement and Ernst & Young are engaging readers in a contextually relevant way that is impossible on other social channels and youth sports platforms.

"We are connecting our sports parent readers with world-class, perfect-fit partners in travel, healthy foods and snacks, hydration, health and wellness, and athletic apparel, and because we value our readers, we are extremely choosy about what partner we will work with. Our goal is to provide value to our readers in all facets of our newsletter," said Amy Masters, Head of Marketing for iSport360 and newsletter co-editor.

Emotional Video Campaign Targeting Youth Hockey Associations Stresses the Importance of Coaching Their Young Goalies!

BLAINE, Minn. /ScoopCloud/ -- MEGA Goaltending, a company committed to teaching players and coaches the proper goaltending skills and fundamentals, has launched an emotional video ad with a plea from kids talking directly to their coaches. The campaign's goal is to make sure youth hockey associations are properly trained when it comes to coaching their young goalies.

The video features kids talking to the camera asking their coaches to "notice them." The ad depicts that if their coaches pay attention to them; they will like themselves more, have more self-confidence, be more likely to go to college, and learn what it means to be strong. None of the kids in the video are actors. They are all just normal kids who play hockey.

The campaign was the brainchild of Justin Johnson, owner and founder of MEGA Goaltending, and was shot, directed, and produced by Sam Scaman of pixelworld.tv. "Too many times, on too many teams, youth hockey association coaches don't know what to do during practice with their goalies," says Johnson who is also the Minnesota Gophers goaltending coach. "We want to make sure these kids in the net are in a position to succeed and feel good about themselves, and that begins with coaching the coaches."

See the full video here: "I am a Goalie, I am a Kid" - https://www.megagoaltending.com/products/mite-development-program/

Too many associations take the 'cross our fingers and hope method' to recruiting and developing beginner goaltenders. They simply hope by sheer numbers that enough kids will want to be a goalie while not providing them with the support or development required to keep them engaged.

For the past 11 years MEGA Goaltending has worked with a variety of hockey associations on how to build their Mite goaltending programs. This has resulted in the Mite Goalie Development Program now available for coaches and associations across the country.

The Mite Development Program is the culmination of MEGA Goaltending's experience in setting up the foundation and long-term plan for mite goalies. According to Johnson, "we set a process in how to attract kids to the position and then how to pay attention to them and their development. The result are more goalies and more kids enjoying the position."

MEGA programs have been designed to develop and refine a goaltender's skills in a challenging and purposeful environment. The dynamic coaching staff includes multiple collegiate goalie coaches. Each of them brings a unique blend of coaching and playing experience ensuring every student receives a quality training experience.

When participating in MEGA programs you can expect to learn not only the most current methods of goaltending but also give you the time and repetitions to discover which methods work best for you. In addition, MEGA coaches are passionate about developing the type of mental skills that will not only serve you well in the crease, but later in life as well.

For more information on MEGA Goaltending, you can go to their website at https://www.megagoaltending.com/.

You can follow them on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/megagoaltending and on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/mega_goaltending/.

About Justin Johnson:

Johnson is the founder of MEGA Goaltending -- a Midwest based goalie training and resource company that works with goalies, coaches and associations of all sizes and skill levels. Johnson is also owner of Minnesota-based training and guidance companies FHIT Hockey and its prestigious programs, MAP Hockey and hybrid learning school TPH in Plymouth, MN. He has published two interactive books, a customized preparation manual for goalies titled "GameDay," and an eBook titled "The Fundamentals of Goaltending." In addition to these works, in 2012 Johnson released the world's first goalie training App titled Read and React, which challenges goalies to anticipate a player's shot placement at various speeds.

Johnson also brought plenty of college hockey experience as both a player and a coach to the Minnesota Gophers hockey team as the Men's goaltending coach for 8 seasons. He was a four-year letterwinner for the Gophers hockey team from 2001-05. Johnson posted a 2.88 goals-against average and 22-8-3 career record during his four seasons with the Gophers. He was named to the all-tournament team at the 2003 Western Collegiate Hockey Association Final Five after stopping 50 of 54 shots, including a career-best 36 saves in the title game victory against Colorado College. Johnson played for the Gophers' consecutive NCAA National Championship teams, including a regional championship game victory against Ferris State as a sophomore on the way to the 2003 title. He was a three-time recipient of the team's community service award.

Johnson played his prep hockey at Blaine High School where he was a two-time all-conference selection and earned honorable mention all-state accolades as a senior. Johnson helped the Bengals to the state tournament consolation game in 1999. He played one year in the USHL with the Lincoln Stars.

Following his collegiate career, Johnson graduated from Minnesota in 2005 with a major in psychology. In addition to his coaching duties, Johnson serves as USA Hockey's Minnesota District Associate Goalie Coach-in-Chief.

Johnson resides in Brooklyn Park with his wife Ashley and their three children, Payton (11) Zoey (8) and Jack (6).

A5 Volleyball Club to Open New State-of-the-Art Sportsplex Facility – Millions in Revenue for Alpharetta / Roswell Expected

ATLANTA, Ga. /ScoopCloud/ -- At a time when many youth club sports clubs are struggling or shutting down as a consequence of the national pandemic, one metro-Atlanta based club, A5 Volleyball Club, is boldly expanding, offering more world class opportunities for athletes to train and compete.

Thousands of athletes and families train with A5 making it one of the largest youth club volleyball organizations in the country. A5 recognizes that, now more than ever, kids need outlets to exercise and connect with friends through playing sports.

This facility expansion has been in the works for some time and came together in January when a deal was made with the Andretti family to take over their vacant facility on Alpharetta Hwy in Roswell. The transformation of the 70,000-square foot space has energized the youth volleyball community that was devastated when the 2019-20 season was suspended in March.

Club founder Bob Westbrook said, "We believe this move into our new facility will prove to be a transformative event for the youth volleyball community in Atlanta as well as the Southeast. We are blessed to have this opportunity."

The A5 Sportsplex will be home to A5 Volleyball Club with the capacity to offer 40+ competitive and regional teams, leagues, and adult play as well as individual volleyball training. The venue will also serve as a volleyball tournament destination hosting teams, regionally, from Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Louisiana, and nationally as well. Youth sports generated 15 Billion dollars last year in the US as Volleyball continues to be one of the fastest growing sports for young men and women in the country.

The regional and national growth of this business has the potential to bring in millions of dollars to the local economy. On any given weekend during the competitive club volleyball season, tens of thousands of players and their families travel to tournaments. A5's new facility is poised to become a sought-after tournament destination, drawing players and families from all over the country to stay in hotels, frequenting restaurants and shops in the metro Atlanta area.

Inside the A5 Sportsplex, there are 13 Taraflex courts including an actual Olympic court from the 2016 Rio Olympic games positioned as Center Court. Spectators will enjoy a mezzanine view of all courts as well as having the benefit of bleacher seating on the floor. Five outdoor sand volleyball courts are planned for construction in Fall 2020. These courts will support and take advantage of the tremendous growth in outdoor Beach Volleyball occurring world-wide. A5's on-site Pro Shop will offer a full line of volleyball apparel, equipment, and accessories. Additionally, the venue has ample parking to accommodate players, families, and fans. Independent restaurant and gaming vendors are planning to occupy additional space in the facility as well helping provide a full-service experience for visitors.

In their new home, A5 will offer elite training year-round as well as competitive teams for athletes of all ages (girls and boys) from beginner to experienced levels. A5 has been making waves in the competitive club volleyball world since its beginning in 2004. Today, there are about 4,500 active clubs in the country. A5 is currently ranked #2 in the country, having earned more bids to the USAV National Championship tournament than any other club nationwide over the last seven years. In 2020, three A5 coaches earned the prestigious "Coach of the Year" award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA). This is a record number of coach-of-the- year winners in the history of this award.

A5 Volleyball is moving forward with resilience and renewed vision for the future while remaining true to their mission: Teaching life lessons through the sport of volleyball. Organized sports are a healthy and integral part of youth development. A5's investment in the local community reflects their commitment to being part of a positive solution, critical to the world we now inhabit.

Whataburger Announces $100,000 Partnership with Drive Nation Sports to Increase Access to Youth Sports

DALLAS, Texas /ScoopCloud/ -- To provide support to young athletes in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, Whataburger announced a three-year, $100,000 partnership with Drive Nation Sports. The partnership kicked off with a check presentation on Wednesday, Dec. 11.

Drive Nation Sports is a Dallas-based grassroots youth sports organization founded in 2016 by former NBA All-Star Jermaine O'Neal. As the owner and operator, O'Neal and his team are dedicated to creating a professional atmosphere for amateur athletics. The focus of Drive Nation Sports is to impact the youth by providing the programming and resources to achieve a higher level of success both on and off the court.

"The cost to participate in youth sports today is higher than it's ever been which has prevented less fortunate children from being able to play. This partnership will give these kids access to opportunities that without this assistance would have been unattainable. Drive Nation is thankful for Whataburger's contribution as it will make a significant impact in these children's lives," said Jermaine O'Neal.

Whataburger signage will be featured within the facility, with additional Whataburger patches adorning athletes' jerseys.

A portion of sponsorship funds will be allocated to provide financial aid for athletes who would otherwise not be able to participate. The intention of this aid is to create an opportunity for future advancement in education and sports.

"Youth sports are a Texas tradition that provide kids with valuable lessons in sportsmanship and teamwork, as well as helping to develop healthy lifelong habits," said Gilbert Aranza, Whataburger Franchisee. "Drive Nation Sports is doing some amazing work to teach these lessons and help young athletes reach their full potential, and Whataburger is proud to support these initiatives."

As part of Whataburger's $100,000 investment over three years, the brand will be featured as a presenting sponsor of two tournaments: the Nike Explosion Tournament on January 18-20th and Jermaine O'Neal's own tournament, the Battle of the Best, on April 3rd-5th.
