The AI Pioneer honorees were selected for moving beyond experimentation to operationalize AI at scale. At MMI, this evolution has been guided by CEO & Founder Ben Teerlink’s vision to make intelligence and closing loans effortless for loan officers and lenders. Under CTO Dan Jones’s technical leadership, MMI has turned that vision into reliable, production-grade systems.

“Our north star has been simple from day one: make intelligence effortless for originators,” said Teerlink. “AI should remove friction, not add it. I’m proud of how our teams turned that vision into systems that act at the right moment so lenders can close more loans with less effort.”

“AI isn’t a side project at MMI – it’s how the platform works,” said Jones. “We built a conversational layer (ChatMMI), predictive signals, and engagement workflows into a single ecosystem. The goal is precision: surface the right opportunity, trigger the right action, and measure the business impact—all without asking users to stitch tools together.”

Ways MMI Operationalizes AI Today

  • ChatMMI (Conversational AI): Natural-language questions return instant, data-backed answers—no dashboards or manual queries required.
  • Predictive Borrower Intelligence (MonitorBase): AI-driven alerts for equity changes, listing signals, MI removal, and opportunity windows—feeding timely retention plays.
  • AI-Driven Content Creation (Bonzo): Generates and personalizes relevant messaging at scale, enabling teams to communicate faster and with greater precision.
  • Automated Engagement (MMI One + Bonzo): Outreach sequences trigger automatically, using verified data and intent to time messages and tasks.
  • Data Quality & Coverage: AI-assisted matching and normalization expand coverage and accuracy across markets; unified intelligence supports recruiting, partner mapping, and market moves.
  • Pathways Home: A consumer experience that turns insights into everyday value—equity tracking, valuation trends, and loan health—keeping LOs connected for life.

Together, these capabilities enable lenders to move easily from Lead → Loan → Lifetime Loyalty, with AI quietly orchestrating insights and actions in the background.

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, July 21, 2025 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Mobility Market Intelligence (MMI), the original pioneer in mortgage market intelligence, today announced the launch of ChatMMI™ – the industry’s first conversational AI interface built specifically for lenders, recruiters, and mortgage professionals.

ChatMMI shows a loan officer’s five-year production history - refi and purchase - instantly, from a single prompt.
Image caption: ChatMMI shows a loan officer’s five-year production history – refi and purchase – instantly, from a single prompt.

Founded in 2008, MMI has spent nearly two decades building the industry’s most comprehensive mortgage data solution. From visualizing market share to unlocking loan officer performance, MMI has helped shape how mortgage companies compete and grow. Now, with the launch of ChatMMI, the company is taking that intelligence one step further—making it instantly accessible through natural language.

“We’ve always focused on giving our clients the best data,” said Ben Teerlink, Founder and CEO of MMI. “ChatMMI is about giving them faster access to it. No filters, no exports, no manual work—just the insights they need, when they need them.”

ASK ANYTHING. GET ANSWERS INSTANTLY

With ChatMMI, users can skip dashboards, filters, and spreadsheets—and just ask.

Want to know which lenders gained the most purchase volume in California last quarter? Or see retention by month for the past 5 years? Just ask. ChatMMI responds in real time, pulling from the deepest, most robust dataset in the industry.

BUILT ON THE MORTGAGE INDUSTRY’S MOST POWERFUL DATA ENGINE

ChatMMI is powered by the industry’s most complete mortgage data and intelligence. Behind the scenes, it taps into:

  • 500 million+ origination records spanning 25 years
  • 8+ terabytes of data
  • Real-time insights across 150+ million properties and 3,000+ counties

MMI recently expanded MLS listing coverage from 90% to 98.5% of U.S. counties, with some counties seeing listing volume jump by 50% to 300%. The company also improved how it connects mortgage and real estate data—by 35%.

When you ask ChatMMI a question, you’re not getting an approximation based on incomplete or unreliable source data. You’re getting a fast, precise response—backed by the mortgage industry’s most complete and trusted data engine.

“With ChatMMI, we’re making all of that data and intelligence even more accessible,” said Dan Jones, Chief Technology Officer at MMI. “It’s like having a 24/7 data analyst who understands mortgage—and speaks your language.”

ONE GOAL. ONE SOLUTION

ChatMMI is the latest addition to MMI’s unified mortgage technology solution, which includes:

MMI Data Center – The industry’s most trusted source for mortgage market intelligence, production trends, referral insights, and recruiting data. ChatMMI is built directly into the MMI Data Center for instant, conversational access to insights.

Bonzo – Automates outreach and engagement—CRM, SMS, email, video, and ads—for personalized communication at scale

MonitorBase – Borrower alerts, predictive analytics, and lead insights

Pathways Home (launching later this year) – Post-close homeowner engagement that keeps LOs connected for life

Together, these tools support MMI’s Lead-to-Loan-to-Lifetime Loyalty™ approach—giving lenders everything they need to recruit top talent, engage borrowers, and build relationships that last long after closing.

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah /ScoopCloud/ -- Mobility Market Intelligence (MMI), a leader in data intelligence and market insight tools for the mortgage and real estate industries, today announced a new feature, Refinder, to help lenders uncover refinance opportunities in their database of past borrowers.

Refinder scans a loan officer's portfolio of past loans and identifies potential refinance opportunities based on a loan's current interest rate. The results provide key data points such as predicted monthly savings, cash out potential, current loan-to-value (LTV) and more, enabling lenders to quickly prepare and initiate refinance conversations with the borrower. MMI expands Custom Dashboard Hub with Community Reinvestment Act and low-to-moderate income data analytics capabilities

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah /ScoopCloud/ -- Mobility Market Intelligence (MMI), a leader in data intelligence and market insight tools for the mortgage and real estate industries, today announced the addition of a suite of new dashboards to its growing Custom Dashboard Hub. Built to assist lenders in researching areas to expand their Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), low-to-moderate income (LMI) and majority-minority census tract (MMCT) lending initiatives, the six new dashboards allow lenders to penetrate areas of high growth and increase the span of actionable insights and applications for users.

Banks, credit unions and independent mortgage companies have an increased need for tools to analyze the market at a deeper level and find hidden pockets of opportunity for CRA, LMI and MMCT lending. The new suite of dashboards, including Census Tract, Community Reinvestment Planning and Minority Community Lending dashboards, can help lenders formulate business plans in high growth / high reward areas, identify recruiting candidates and referral partners entrenched in these areas and gain insight into baseline and comparative performance metrics.

Minority homeownership is on the rise and is expected to continue to grow, as predicted by The Urban Institute. Between 2020 and 2040, there will be 6.9 million net new homeowners, which includes 4.8 million more Hispanic homeowners, 2.7 million more Asian and other homeowners and 1.2 million more Black homeowners.

Additionally, a recent report from the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) states Latinos are more mortgage-ready than ever, referencing that there were 7.9 million Latinos aged 45 or under who have the credit characteristics to qualify for a mortgage and 2.8 million who were near mortgage-ready in 2022.

"MMI's Custom Dashboard Hub allows users to access a deep well of the most current and accurate data available in a faster, more visual format," said MMI founder and CEO Ben Teerlink. "The new CRA, LMI and MMCT capabilities provide increased granularity and insights related to these lending initiatives. For lenders emphasizing CRA, LMI and MMCT lending, it's not enough to analyze their overall performance in local markets; they need to analyze the data through those lenses."

The new CRA, LMI and MMCT capabilities will allow users to:

* See detailed census tract data to better understand an area's demographic breakdown;

* Increase visibility into performing and non-performing markets;

* Analyze production by LMI and MMCT for lenders and loan originators (LOs); and

* Cultivate relationships with referral partners having success in diverse markets.

This information allows lenders to evaluate LOs based on real-time, accurate transaction history rather than relying on their self-reported numbers.

Using the LO Quick Profile, lenders can enter specific LO NMLS numbers into the search bar and, with the click of a button, view production volume metrics from 14 months, 7 months and year-to-date, including:

* Loan production volume;

* Transaction types;

* Loan types;

* Top buy-side & list-side agent partners; and

* Top regions based on performance.

These real-time insights, which can be printed or saved as a PDF, provide lenders with an up-to-date look at LO performance and arm recruiters with the concrete performance data they need to decide whether candidates in their prospect pipeline are high-value targets. Understanding current production trends can also help companies adjust their performance expectations to include more realistic parameters.

"MMI collects, collates and cleanses data from multiple sources to provide actionable intelligence and satisfy many business goals, including LO recruiting," said MMI Founder and CEO Ben Teerlink. "The LO Quick Profiles are a condensed view of MMI's LO Fast Fact Profiles, which provide lenders and LOs with a comprehensive look into recent production highlights that aren't readily available and may have been previously missed."

While the LO Quick Profiles provide limited public access to some LO data, MMI's Fast Fact Profiles for subscribers deliver much deeper details, such as a more comprehensive list of buy-side and list-side agent relationships from the past 14 months, the number of transactions per agent, the agent's name and contact information and access to the agent's Fast Fact profile. Additionally, contact information can be imported into customer relationship management (CRM) software.

"MMI's objective is to provide the mortgage industry with tools that are helpful to lenders and LOs and give a taste of the actionable insights derived from the extensive amount of data available and how both can be used to further business objectives," continued Teerlink. "This is the latest in a series of MMI tools that provide non-customers with limited access to our platform data and insights. In our ongoing effort to highlight the importance of data in the mortgage industry, MMI will continue to develop and release resources like this to the public."

MMI releases referral partnership ROI Calculator

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah /ScoopCloud/ -- Mobility Market Intelligence (MMI), a leader in data intelligence and market insight tools for the mortgage and real estate industries, today announced the release of its ROI Calculator, an easy-to-use tool for lenders to see the impact their referral partnerships have on production volume. The ROI Calculator counts the agents a lender has recently worked with and the percentage of their business, or wallet share, attributed to the lender and identifies the impact increasing that percentage has on production volume.

Using the ROI Calculator, lenders can enter their NMLS number and in the click of a button, receive insights from the previous 14 months, including the number of buy-side agent partners they've worked with, the number of buy-side transactions captured, the percentage of buy-side transactions captured, the volume captured from buy-side agents and the uncaptured volume from buy-side agent partners.

Lenders are also able to see the impact that increasing the percentage of wallet share with current agent partners would have on their production volume. For example, a lender with an average annual production or $500M can see that a 0.1% increase in captured buy-side partner transactions would add roughly $2.5M in production volume to the pipeline.

Similarly, one specific lender averaging $1.3B in captured buy-side volume each year would see that capturing just 0.1% more of wallet share from current partners would result in over $45M in additional volume. That same lender could also see that in the last year, they left more than $43B in uncaptured partner volume on the table.

"Referral partnerships are always valuable, but they are never more crucial than in a market like we're seeing today," said MMI Founder and CEO Ben Teerlink. "MMI's ROI calculator lets lenders visualize and understand how even an incremental increase of wallet share from their existing agent partnerships can have a tremendous impact on production volume. While developing new referral partnerships should never be overlooked, it's usually much easier grow your wallet share by letting existing referral partners know that you'd like to build on your previous success and can handle more of their business."

MMI adds video production tool to platform for loan originator promotion

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah /ScoopCloud/ -- Mobility Market Intelligence (MMI), a leader in data intelligence and market insight tools for the mortgage and real estate industries, today announced it has released LO Highlight Reels, an easy-to-use video creation tool for loan originators (LOs) looking for an eye-catching way to share their success and increase their visibility. With their LO Highlight Reel, an LO can generate a video reel summing up their last 12 months of loan production and then share their unique reel URL across their professional network.

The LO Highlight Reel tool supplies users with a customizable, mobile-friendly video featuring their own up-to-date production numbers, ensuring a visually pleasing, always current video. Once created, each LO's reel will continuously update with market data from the MMI platform to stay current, meaning it can always be safely shared without fear of the data falling out of date. Additionally, an LO can customize their attached profile to include their headshot, contact info, social links, relevant disclosures and even a call-to-action button. Beyond sharing the custom URL, LOs can also embed the video on their personal website.

"The LO Highlight Reels started as a way for MMI to show our clients what the numbers behind their past year looked like, but in a really visual and fun way. We debuted the reels at a couple of conferences last fall, and they were a huge hit. We were immediately inundated with requests from LOs who wanted to create the videos themselves and share them with their network and on social media," said MMI Founder and CEO Ben Teerlink. "We took that request and ran with it. Now, MMI users can create and share their own LO Highlight Reels whenever and wherever they please."

MMI increases platform’s business intelligence and expands mortgage and real estate data analytics capabilities with its Custom Dashboard Hub

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah /ScoopCloud/ -- Mobility Market Intelligence (MMI), a leader in data intelligence and market insight tools for the mortgage and real estate industries, announced today it has launched its new Custom Dashboard Hub and expanded the business intelligence (BI) tools available on its platform, increasing users' ability and ease in developing strategy, recruiting, nurturing talent and discovering new opportunities.

"With our new Custom Dashboard Hub, users can tap into MMI's deep well of mortgage and real estate data in a faster, more visual format," said MMI founder and CEO Ben Teerlink. "And with an ever-increasing amount of granularity of data, MMI clients have access to competitive analyses and insights of greater specificity and accuracy than ever before."

The expanded dashboard capabilities will allow users to:

* Analyze the market to find hidden pockets of opportunity and gain a competitive advantage at a local market level;

* Delve deeper into their organization's existing data to uncover hidden trends;

* Align sales strategies with overall business goals, including affordable lending initiatives;

* Determine where to adjust pricing to maximize performance in a particular metropolitan statistical area (MSA);

* Develop business development and/or operational strategies using current market data to stay ahead of the curve;

* Recruit using up-to-date production metrics;

* Provide quantitative feedback on loan originator (LO) performance; and

* Identify top overall growth opportunities.

Furthermore, market analysis tools allow users to locate and track high-performance real estate and mortgage markets in their area and show nationwide trends. Up-to-date benchmark statistics enable LOs to quickly compare their performance to their peers nationally and locally. Users can manipulate criteria and filter data on their own - from county to loan type and more - to quickly visualize results relevant to their business. MMI is constantly developing new dashboards in response to the mortgage industry's needs and continuous user feedback and requirements.

"I've found MMI to be beyond insightful in providing data to expand market share and capture new referral partners and recruiting targets," said John Meussner, Production Manager at Mason-McDuffie Mortgage. "With the granular data provided through MMI's updated dashboards, I can focus on targets with whom I know I'll achieve a high success rate, making my efforts more efficient. Best of all, MMI allows me to put more time toward other money-saving activities."

"Enterprise mortgage companies no longer need to feel compelled to purchase and manage their own BI tools," continued Teerlink. "Instead, they can opt to work with MMI to compile the data they need within their own custom dashboard(s). The Custom Dashboard Hub is a one-stop shop for lenders and LOs looking to supercharge their existing BI."

MMI Announces Small and Mid-Size Business Channel and New Account Executive, Heath Liles

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah /ScoopCloud/ -- Mobility Market Intelligence (MMI), a leader in data intelligence and market insight tools for the mortgage and real estate industries, today announced it has expanded access to its platform with a new user tier for small and mid-size (SMB) independent mortgage lenders and brokers. Previously focused on enterprise accounts, MMI is now making a dedicated effort to providing value to the individual and SMB spaces. Additionally, Heath Liles has been hired as MMI's SMB Account Executive and will be tasked with leading sales and managing client relationships for MMI's SMB channel.

Mortgage brokers and lenders with less than 10 loan officers (LOs) can use MMI's SMB channel, with access to the same core tools that an enterprise account would have.

"For several years now, small and mid-sized lenders with just a handful of LOs have expressed interest in MMI but haven't met the threshold required of an enterprise client. This new channel will give smaller organizations access to the MMI platform's powerful insights," said MMI Vice President of Enterprise Sales Melissa Sike. "We're delighted to provide this option and look forward to witnessing the success smaller lenders find through this offering."

Before joining MMI, Liles spent four years at Movement Mortgage, starting as a loan processor and two years later, he became a loan officer assistant (LOA) to one of Charlotte's top-producing LOs. Prior to Movement Mortgage, Liles spent nine years at Sealed Air Corporation as a sales representative.

"Heath is eager to help customers find the best solutions for their business and is a great embodiment of the culture we've built at MMI," continued Sike. "We're proud to welcome him to the MMI team."

"MMI intrigued me from the first time I saw a demo. The platform is compelling, with the data presented in a simple and digestible way," said Liles. "I'm eager to show mortgage lenders and brokers the difference MMI can make in their business efforts. I have never seen a platform as powerful as this, and I'm humbled to be a part of MMI's growth."
