The American Gem Society Celebrates Women’s History Month Through Women Designers

LAS VEGAS, Nev. /ScoopCloud/ -- The American Gem Society (AGS), a nonprofit association dedicated to consumer protection, is proud to celebrate and recognize its women designers, as well as women leaders in the jewelry industry during Women's History Month.

Throughout the month of March, AGS will feature the beautiful jewelry created by women within the association's community of members. AGS is also featuring the jewelry of these women on their "Trending Now" web page.

"The American Gem Society is what it is today in large part because of the leadership and creativity of the women in management and in our community," said Katherine Bodoh, CEO of the American Gem Society and AGS Laboratories. "We value and are inspired by the guidance and vision of the women on our board and on our team, the retail store leaders who are the backbone of the American Gem Society, and the creative visionaries designing jewelry. We are excited to share these designs with our audience, and hope they feel as inspired as we do by the artistry and beauty of what these women have created."

"Seeing wonderful, strong, and talented women leading the AGS made an early impression on me as I grew and learned in this industry," said Lisa Bridge, President-Elect of the American Gem Society's International Board of Directors. "We are lucky at AGS to have a community that supports and champions one another to make us and the industry better. I am thankful for their example and the path they have created for all of us to thrive."

Want a Sparkling Valentine’s Day? Follow These Six Jewelry Buying Tips

LAS VEGAS, Nev. /ScoopCloud/ -- Whether you are staying at home this Valentine's Day, or plan to have a romantic evening out, the American Gem Society (AGS), a nonprofit association dedicated to consumer protection, has some advice to ensure the jewelry you buy adds extra sparkle to you and your loved one's celebration.

1. Have a general idea of the kind of jewelry you want to buy? If it's a gift, what does the recipient like? Consider the type and color of metal, the gemstone, setting, as well as the type of piece. Would this person want a watch, bracelet, necklace, or ring?

2. Shop with a credentialed, professional jeweler who is a member of an organization with a strict code of business ethics, such as AGS. An ethical and knowledgeable jeweler will share facts about the gemstone in your jewelry, like whether it is enhanced or treated, natural, or a laboratory-created gemstone.

3. Do your research online but visit the store so you can see the piece in person. You might love the way something looks on the screen, but when you see it up close, you may feel differently. Maybe it's the color or sheen of the metal or how the setting looks. Get an up-close look before making a significant purchase.

4. Ask about the return policy. If the gift misses the mark, you'll want to return it!

5. If a discount seems too good to be true, it might be. You've heard of the practice where a retailer inflates a price by a certain percent, then advertises it at a slightly lesser percent? AGS members must adhere to standards of business conduct that strictly prohibit this practice.

6. Buying diamonds? Ask for a diamond grading report from an independent laboratory. A thorough grading report covers all 4Cs-cut, color, clarity, and carat-so that the jewelry buyers know and understand the quality of what they are purchasing. AGS founded AGS Laboratories as a nonprofit diamond grading laboratory that shares its mission of consumer protection. This mission ensures jewelry buyers will receive an unbiased opinion on the quality of their diamonds.

-- Well-cut diamonds sparkle in candlelight or low light. Set the mood with the right lighting and watch the diamond sparkle on your loved one.

GIA and AGS Award 2nd Annual Beatrice Shipley Scholarship to Ohio Jeweler

LAS VEGAS, Nev. /ScoopCloud/ -- The second annual Beatrice Shipley Scholarship - created by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and the American Gem Society (AGS) in 2019 - was awarded to Rachel Burazer, a sales associate and custom designer at Argo & Lehne Jewelers, an AGS member store in Columbus, Ohio.

The scholarship will cover complete tuition for the GIA Graduate Gemologist on-campus or distance program in Carlsbad, California, along with the costs of the AGS Way Course and entry to the 2021 AGS Conclave event in Dallas, Texas, September 12-14.

AGS and GIA jointly established the Beatrice Shipley Scholarship, which was announced by Susan Jacques, GIA president and chief executive officer, at the 2019 Conclave. AGS administered the application process and awarded the scholarship.

"AGS would like to thank GIA for their ongoing commitment to AGS and for partnering on this scholarship. Beatrice Shipley, along with her husband, changed the course of the jewelry industry," said Katherine Bodoh, CEO of the American Gem Society and AGS Laboratories. "We are so pleased to award Rachel with this scholarship. She is passionate about the jewelry industry, bettering herself, and serving her customers. I know this opportunity will propel her career forward."

"Beatrice Shipley was a trailblazing businesswoman who believed in and helped establish GIA and AGS and our shared mission to protect consumers. At the core of this mission is educating the next generation of jewelers, and we are honored to do this together with AGS, our sibling organization," said Susan Jacques, GIA president and CEO. "Congratulations to Rachel Burazer! I look forward to her continued success as a GIA alumni and member of AGS."

"Earning this award demonstrates that patience, determination, and loving what you do can get you anywhere in life," said Ms. Burazer. "I am so grateful to have this help to advance in my career and invest in my future. What an honor it is to represent my company and Beatrice Shipley! Thank you."

Born in Northeast Ohio, Rachel moved to Chicago, where she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design. After working in the food and beverage industry and at Bloomingdale's, Rachel realized that she needed to combine her hospitality experience with a more refined retail environment. She first worked at an AGS member store, Steve Quick Jeweler, where she was given the knowledge and trust to accelerate on her own. With that experience and success, the transition to Argo & Lehne was smooth. Currently, Rachel acts as a mentor to her colleagues, a liaison with many vendors, and an employee trusted by the customers.

Both GIA and AGS were founded in the 1930s when Robert and Beatrice Shipley cashed in their savings to create two organizations with the goal of educating jewelers, professionalizing the industry, and creating a guild for these jewelers to join.

New Book About Conquering Addiction Receives Book Excellence Award

LAS VEGAS, Nev. /ScoopCloud/ -- "Life is Crying" (ISBN: 978-1641119849) by Benzena Brown, recently received the Book Excellence Award Finalist - an international book awards' competition dedicated to recognizing independent and traditionally-published authors and publishers for excellence in writing, design and overall market appeal.

The ultimate goal of "Life is Crying" is to assist individuals and families suffering with chemical dependency to achieve a healthy lifestyle and to get the needed support for recovery. It also alerts family and friends of the dangers and consequences of substance abuse, with the intention to limit this horrible, threatening and life altering dilemma that can be defined as a mouse trap or chasing the dragon.

The book recognizes chemical dependency as a universal outcry and struggle for the addict, family and friends. It demonstrates how chemical dependency is widespread just like the sky, all over the world. Chemical dependency is classified as a mental health disorder. The dilemma of chemical dependency can be an innocent curiosity leading to disaster as it is like a sharp piercing blade that stabs the mind/brain.

Alarming fact, chemical dependency can begin at youth. Chemical dependency is not reserved for the young or old. It can start at any age. When chemical dependency sets in, it takes over the body and mind.

Brown recognizes addiction provides a thrilling and sensational pleasure which often leads to repetitive use inflicting pain, suffering, agony and intense craving. The consequences of the intoxicating pain can make the body feel like a bunch of French fries sizzling in scalding hot cooking oil. The riptide of chemical dependency has landed on the victim and has added a helpless feeling and challenge to life.

"And, while the challenges of addiction may seem like a spinning top failing to fall on its side, help is available," Brown says.

From intervention and drug rehabilitation to mental health, to drug counseling, and relapse, help is available. Intervention

programs allow family or friends to persuade, guide and gently convince the victim that he/she needs help and help is available. Other programs provide in-house stays for chemical dependency individuals and are designed to meet the needs of the specific individual.

Brown advocates that education is the best source for understanding addiction and its consequences.

"A blinking yellow light can change to a red stop light," she says.

About the Author

Benzena Brown writes motivational and inspirational books. And while her vision is impaired, she manages to write with a software program for the blind. She studied social work at Chapman University and worked as a volunteer at the Salvation Army. She's also volunteered for UCR University Suicide Hot Line and as a mediator for the Moreno Valley California courts. Benzena is retired from the Department of Defense where she worked in public service. Benzena also donated her kidney in 1994 and lives a healthy lifestyle without medication.

Las Vegas Latin Ghost Kitchen, Melita’s Table, Defies Odds And Expands Offering Dine-In Restaurant Experience In 2021

LAS VEGAS, Nev. /ScoopCloud/ -- Melita's Table, a popular ghost kitchen serving authentic and original Latin meals, has expanded from delivery-only, to now offer a restaurant dining experience.

Las Vegas restaurateur, Kori McClurg launched Melita's Table in 2019 before the pandemic as a unique ghost kitchen concept - preparing meals for delivery only. The ghost kitchen concept defied the odds and found success during the pandemic with meals infused with Old World Latin flavors and a plethora of options to meet many dietary needs including: nut-free, soy-free, gluten-free, and oil-free menu items.

As dining rooms open once again, guests have requested their favorite Melita's flavors be available for dine-in. "Our customers loved Melita's Table as a delivery-only concept and by adding a dine-in option, we can serve more people who are interested in healthy food that tastes amazing," said owner Kori McClurg.

McClurg, who also owns and operates the Ori'Zaba's Scratch Mexican Grill in the Las Vegas area, found the perfect location for Melita's Table, inside of her Silverado Ranch Ori'Zaba's restaurant.

"By offering our Scratch Mexican menu from Ori'Zaba's and Latin meals from Melita's Table, in the same location, customers can take a flavor trip abroad without having to board an airplane," said Melita's Table Director of Consumer and Product Management, D.J. Wannacott-Yahnke.

Melita's Table offers dishes made with fresh vegetables, whole grains, legumes and unique spice combinations. Melita's entrées are made using unique ingredients: quinoa in tacos, citrus portobello in the chimichanga, and smoky jack asada crafted from jackfruit in burritos. Unique and flavorful options provide a Latin menu for everyone to enjoy and explore.

Those fresh ingredients make Diana Edelman, of Vegan's Baby, thrilled about easier access for Vegans in Las Vegas. She says, "It's been amazing to have Melita's Table as a partner with Vegan's Baby for two years during Vegan Dining Month. Expanding from a kitchen to dine-in makes so much sense. Now, even more people can experience the plant-based cuisine Melita's Table does so well." In January, Melita's Table sold over 400 entrees contributing a donation of almost $520 to Vegan's Baby associated charity, Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada.

Melita's menu also includes delectable desserts and amazing appetizers. Tres Leches Cake made with coconut milk, battered artichoke bites, street corn and a variety of homemade empanadas add Latin flair to the menu.

McClurg saw a need in the community for more healthy food options and decided to offer a fresh dine-in experience to go along with their existing food delivery service. "By expanding Melita's Table we can bring flavors and food to more people who may not be able to find meal options for their dietary sensitivities. While Melita's Table serves healthy dishes for those looking for healthier options, the food also tastes amazing," said McClurg.

Food delivery and pick-up are still available, but for those wanting a dine-in experience, Melita's Table is serving meals seven days a week; 10:30am - 9:00pm Monday through Saturday and 11:00am - 8:00pm on Sundays at 1263 E Silverado Ranch Blvd., Las Vegas 89183, located in the Silverado Ranch Center at the intersection of South Maryland Parkway and E Silverado Ranch Blvd.

Goddess In Secret Launches Anti-Aging Secret Ethereal Beauty Elixir for Women

LAS VEGAS, Nev. /ScoopCloud/ -- Goddess In Secret, a new luxury women's beauty brand focused on helping women retain their youthful beauty, has announced the launch of its anti-aging skincare product, Secret Ethereal Beauty Elixir. The product is packed with 24 organic oils, absolutes, and extracts that synergistically work together to improve and enhance the look of more youthful, radiant skin.

The rejuvenating potion harnesses the power of centuries of anti-aging knowledge as well as today's science. Packed with organic, natural ingredients such as labradorite crystals, Secret Ethereal Beauty Elixir helps to increase production of proteins essential to a more youthful appearance, including elastin and collagen.

Secret Ethereal Beauty Elixir is 100% handmade with natural, organic materials that increase hydration, reduce wrinkles, and promote firmer skin tone through a luxurious blend of vitamins, minerals, and oils.

Due to the handmade, small-batch nature of its production, the elixir is available in only small quantities and is now available for pre-order at: https://goddessinsecret.com/product/anti-aging-secret-ethereal-beauty-elixir/.

The elixir was crafted with a strong sense of history in mind and seeks to honor and add to that history. According to historians, the Egyptians were the pioneers of perfumery and the first to incorporate perfumes into their rituals. With this in mind, elegant fragrance is a critical component of Secret Ethereal Beauty Elixir, which delivers a unique, subtle, and sensual fragrance for people to wear while reaping anti-aging benefits.

Egypt was not only the first leader in the creation of perfumes but also the first to make bottles for keeping and holding their precious scented oils. Honoring these ancient sacred rituals, Goddess In Secret imports their exquisite handmade bottles from Khan el-Khalili in Cairo, Egypt. The bottles were handcrafted by a brood of artisans who began in the glassworks from the 15th century.

"In the past, rejuvenating elixirs were considered a royal privilege only made available to kings and gods, and only high priests knew how to formulate them," said Cristina Aponte, CEO. "Goddess In Secret's Secret Ethereal Beauty Elixir takes that same sense of ancestral luxury and those same secret products and has crafted the ultimate anti-aging product that provides an elevated at-home skincare experience once only experienced by royalty. From our elegantly crafted bottles to a copy of the magic spell once used in royal rituals, Secret Ethereal Beauty Elixir delivers the benefits and an experience of a timeless beauty ritual fit for royalty."

While Secret Ethereal Beauty Elixir was created in line with ancient practices, Goddess In Secret also has addressed aggravating factors that modern life brings, including free radicals in our air, food, and water that destroy healthy cells and promote premature aging.

With regular use, Secret Ethereal Beauty Elixir will increase skin hydration by 160%, reduces wrinkles by 78%, and results in 56% firmer skin. The product has been tested by women aged 24-76 for over 8 weeks.

Secret Ethereal Beauty Elixir has been hailed for being 100% natural, organic, cruelty-free, SLS free, paraben-free, and non-GMO to delivers youthful, radiant skin without toxic side effects that may pose a threat to consumers.

To celebrate its product launch, The Goddess In Secret team is offering a pre-order discount worth $49.99. Customers can activate this discount by using the code MAGICAL2021.

Ori’Zaba’s Scratch Mexican Grill Blazes Into Fall With A New Spicy Guacamole

LAS VEGAS, Nev. /ScoopCloud/ -- Fall flavors are getting revamped! Move over pumpkin spice, Ori'Zaba's Scratch Mexican grill is turning up the heat on a Mexican classic; available for a limited time, Spicy Guacamole is already a fan favorite.

Ori'Zaba's Scratch Mexican grill, known for their scratch made, super fresh and flavorful menu, has added a kick of heat for fall and winter to their authentic menu. The Spicy Guacamole is an amped up version of Ori'Zaba's traditional guac.

"We brought this Spicy Guacamole back after it debuted last year and guests begged for it to return. The kick of heat from our roasted chipotle chili peppers is phenomenal and is perfect for the fall and winter season," said D.J. Wonnacott-Yahnke, Director of Consumer Product Management.

Scratch made daily with fresh, never frozen, whole avocados, this guacamole packs a punch of heat with a kick. Chipotle chili peppers are roasted in-house at Ori'Zaba's to create an original spicy blend. Red onion, cilantro, fresh lime juice, garlic and chili de arbol meld together for an unforgettable flavor combination.

The guacamole is called spicy for a very good reason. That kick at the end, will give guests a reason to wipe the tears from their eyes and say "Dang, that's good!" Fans will find themselves picking up another chip for a larger dip!

The guacamole can be ordered as a side, appetizer with chips or included as a topping on any entree. It can also be ordered in a larger eight ounce or pint size through catering for pick-up or delivery.

"The original flavor profile of the Spicy Guacamole is what makes Ori'Zaba's unique. We create authentic recipes and add a twist, packing in fresh flavor to every bite," said Lee Cartledge, Director of Operations.

Ori'Zaba's Scratch Mexican Grill specializes in fresh, scratch made Mexican meals and has four locations across the Las Vegas metro area.

Ori’Zaba’s Scratch Mexican Grill Invites Guests for A Limited Time to Hop on The Carolina Reaper Train with Their #SpicySalsaChallenge

LAS VEGAS, Nev. /ScoopCloud/ -- "Can you handle the heat?" That is the question Ori'Zaba's Scratch Mexican Grill is asking their fans when they order the new Pebre Salsa Picante. Ori'Zaba's has added the new scratch made salsa to their existing menu for a limited time.

"Our customers love the spice combination in our original salsa, so we thought we would expand our salsa line and kick it up a notch with this new super spicy salsa," said D.J. Wonnacott-Yahnke, Director of Consumer Product Management.

The new Pebre Salsa Picante blends four varieties of peppers: Serrano, Habanero, Carolina Reaper and Arbol with fresh tomatoes, cilantro, green onions, garlic, red wine vinegar and olive oil to create a salsa so spicy it comes with its own disclaimer, "The Pebre Salsa Picante is extremely spicy and should only be attempted by seasoned pepper eaters. We do not recommend this salsa for most people."

The combination of these four specific peppers creates a kick of heat. The Carolina Reaper is recognized as the "World's Hottest Pepper," and using this variety in the salsa, creates an eye-watering flavor that is only for bold and brave taste buds.

Ori'Zaba's Scratch Mexican Grill specializes in fresh, scratch made Mexican meals and has four locations across the Las Vegas metro area.

Director of Operations, Lee Cartledge said, "A super spicy salsa fits perfect with our menu, you can add it to burritos, eat it with chips and guacamole or add it to any entree, if you can stand the heat!"

The thrill of eating the Pebre Salsa Picante is tempting fans to partake in Ori'Zaba's #SpicySalsaChallenge.

This October, customers can order a three-ounce portion of the Pebre Salsa Picante on any entree and if they are able to eat the entire dish while dining in the restaurant, their next meal entree is on Ori'Zaba's! The salsa is only available for a limited time, so customers are encouraged to get it while it's hot! (no pun intended - it's super hot!)

The #SpicySalsaChallenge runs through Halloween 2020 at which time, this Carolina Reaper salsa becomes a ghost and disappears.

Fall Trends to Transition into Winter

LAS VEGAS, Nev. /ScoopCloud/ -- Jewelry lovers, the American Gem Society has a message for you: this is your season. This fall, some of the most stand-out fine jewelry you will see comes from members of the American Gem Society, a community of jewelry professionals dedicated to protecting the jewelry-buying public through a high standard of ethics and ongoing education.

According to Katherine Bodoh, CEO of the American Gem Society and AGS Laboratories, these five fine jewelry trends will provide the added detail you need this season to complete your ensemble. These pieces are also instant classics that can easily transition to winter, spring, and beyond. Be Zoom ready with any of these trends.

Medallions: this summer favorite is not slowing down. You can wear medallions alone or layer them or go bold and dazzle with medallion earrings and bracelets. Medallions stun in gold, but silver tones also make an unforgettable impression.

Restored Jewelry: do you need a jewelry makeover? Your local American Gem Society jeweler can work wonders on heirloom jewelry. Diamonds and gemstones can be removed from a ring or any piece of outdated or worn/well-loved jewelry and transferred to a modern piece of wearable art for your ears, neck, wrist, or fingers. If you can think it, they can most likely create it. A number of AGS designers also update older pieces by using recycled diamonds, other precious gemstones, charms, and much more to create contemporary designs.

Big Links, Long Chains: an extra-long chain is sophisticated and helps complete a look, especially one with higher necklines. Plus, let's face it: it also means no fiddling with a finicky clasp. This fall's styles feature big links for a bold statement, an homage to eighties jewelry. Slip it over your head, wear some diamond stud earrings, add a classic watch, and you are good to go. Or go short: choker-style chain necklaces in a high-polished metal provides an edgy yet glamorous look.

Pearls: the popularity of this organic gem endures. Staying with the big links trend, pair a chunky link with a drop pearl and you have a showstopper. Or, layer long strands of pearls with a couple of silver or gold link necklaces for a style that says there is nothing wrong with a wrist party!

Bright Colors. If you are a fan of seventies jewelry, the jewelry gods have smiled upon you. This season, think jewelry painted in enamel or treated in bright hues of red, blue, green, and yellow. Brighten up a dark outfit or enliven your mood on a rainy autumn day. If you plan to invest in one accessory this year...this is it!

The Douglas Coleman Show Hosts a New Video Edition Show That Replicates Real Life

LAS VEGAS, Nev. /ScoopCloud/ -- DJC Productions Las Vegas announces a new video edition (VE) of The Douglas Coleman Show podcast. The VE show is a full, three-camera studio production that incorporates the guest into the studio set from the comfort of their home or office.

Unlike a typical video phone call, The Douglas Coleman Show VE is designed to be a virtual talk show. It has a relaxed living room vibe and shows the host and guest looking at each other - appearing to be together in the same room.

"I remember seeing an old kinescope of Edward R. Murrow's 'Person to Person' show from the 1950s and I thought we could do a modern-day version of it," Douglas Coleman, the show's host says.

With more and more people turning to video calls, Coleman sought to do something different from the typical split screen Skype phone call that's turning up everywhere. He wanted a show that would bring people together more.

"With everyone's busy schedule and especially now with COVID, we wanted our show to replicate real human interaction as much as possible," Coleman says. "We wanted to create the natural flow of two people having a conversation, even if they couldn't actually be in the same room together."

The Douglas Coleman Show VE will offer guests a unique show experience format that will showcase their music, book, film or whatever else they want to spotlight.

The Douglas Coleman Show VE charges a studio and production fee of only $49.99. This includes cross promotion of guest appearances on all of its social media platforms. Authors and musicians who appear on the show will also have their profiles featured on its website.

Nature Photography Fights Impacts of Stress, Stay at Home Order, Too Much Tech

LAS VEGAS, Nev. /ScoopCloud/ -- Founded by Uber alums Jason and Diana Liles, New American Fine Art aims to bring the restorative qualities of the great outdoors to overworked employees and cooped up quarantiners around the globe. The online photography gallery - launching Aug. 24, 2020 - will feature ultra-high-resolution images captured on their year-long sabbatical from the fast-paced tech world.

Their offering includes inspiring landscapes from the Swiss Alps to the California Coast, and - thanks to a proprietary iridium infused print process - the acrylic facemount prints are lifelike, luminous, and richly detailed.

As mental health researchers have often posited, the Lileses believe in the power of nature to relieve stress and restore balance - something that inspired their post-Uber immersion in gorgeous locales around the world. While international travel might feel like a luxury of the past, New American Fine Art hopes to bring the essence of the outdoors into homes and offices when it's needed most.

"Looking at ultra-high-resolution nature prints for five minutes a day can help boost your mood and bounce back from stress, which we could all use right now," says Diana. "We know for many people, it is difficult to get outside right now, and maintaining a good mental state is crucial to your immune system. We hope that our collection can offer people a sense of relief and connection to nature while being cooped up indoors."

Mitigating the impacts of technology overload and stressful work environments is also a driver for husband and wife duo, who met while working at Uber.

"We want to create a product to help our former selves," says Jason. "That's where our idea of the company started." In the first year after leaving Uber, Jason took over 77,000 photos. New American Fine Art showcases the best of the couple's travels in high impact, large format prints.

With their online art gallery, the Lileses are applying their tech expertise to the world of art buying and selling, and helping art lovers around the world to bring a piece of nature indoors.

Indie Music Star Luanne Hunt delivers ‘Chicken Soup for the Soul’ message in her Top 40 hit single, ‘WE RISE’

LAS VEGAS, Nev. /ScoopCloud/ -- Amid the Coronavirus lockdown, award-winning, critically acclaimed indie music star Luanne Hunt decided to use her free time to tap into her creativity and write the Top 40 Gospel/Inspirational hit "We Rise," a song the Hollywood Digest calls an "anthem for our times."

The uplifting song can be heard on radio stations around the world and is currently climbing the Adult Contemporary and Christian Music charts.

Other reviewers see it as a musical dose of inspiration, bringing the same type of hope and healing found in Jack Canfield's "Chicken Soup for the Soul" stories. According to Troy Johnston of FAME Magazine, "We Rise" is just what the doctor ordered to lead people from all walks of life to a brighter and more abundant tomorrow.

"Beautifully presented and enchanting from the start, Luanne Hunt's 'We Rise' is the Chicken Soup of song we humans need," said Troy Johnston of FAME Magazine. "It's a winner of a tune that puts humanity back into perspective and reminds us as listeners that thinking positive and spreading joy to others is as simple as it gets."

Hunt, who lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, wrote "We Rise" as the theme song for a philanthropic organization she is preparing to launch in early 2021 called, "We Rise Women's Network."

The network will aim to provide women across the nation opportunities to gather, make lasting friendships, heal from wounds of the past and tap into their inner strength through the power of togetherness, Hunt said.

"When I began making plans for the Network, the first thing I did was write the theme song for it," said Hunt, a native of Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. "As 'We Rise' came together in the studio, I realized it holds a message that people need to hear right now. So many are running out of hope but united, we are strong. I have no doubt we can rise above everything that's threatening all we hold true and dear."

Over her 25-year career, Hunt has scored numerous No. 1 hits on country, folk and gospel charts around the world. The award-winning, Grammy-balloted recording artist is best known for her chart-topping single, "Christmas Without You," which was named by Sweden's largest daily newspaper, Dagens Nyheter, one of the Top 25 Christmas Songs of All-time.

She also is the recipient of three CD of the Year awards from the National Traditional Country Music Association (NTCMA) and six American Songwriting Awards.

The adult contemporary/contemporary Christian-inspired "We Rise" follow's Hunt's award-winning, critically acclaimed country album, "Backroads, Bottles & Blues," which features her No. 1 hit duet with Steven Bankey, "Lightning in A Bottle."

"Fans that love the Andra Day song 'Rise Up' should take a chance on Luanne Hunt's 'We Rise,'" said Garth Thomas, reviewer for the Hollywood Digest. "I'm positive that Hunt's country fans will stick with her and love this song, which is both inspiring and entertaining."

Melita’s Table Delivers a Revolutionary Cinco De Mayo Feast

LAS VEGAS, Nev. /ScoopCloud/ -- Cinco de Mayo has become one of the most beloved and celebrated days of the year. Though many Nevadans will enjoy the historic date at home this year, there's no reason to avoid dancing, margaritas and an amazing vegan taco creation made special by Melita's Table.

In November 2019, veteran Vegas restauranteur Kori McClurg opened Melita's Table, a plant-based delivery and catering only kitchen concept. Las Vegas has happily embraced this healthy, all-natural Latin-based option.

To celebrate the success, and provide vegan delights for Cinco de Mayo, Melita's Table has created Butter Lettuce Shell Tacos. The new shells provide a zesty alternative to the flavorless iceberg lettuce wraps of old.

Try a revolutionary taco trend to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, which commemorates the 1862 Mexican military victory over the French forces of Napoleon III.

The new butter lettuce wraps provide plenty of space to pile on quinoa, lentil picadillo and marinated citrus portobello. The new taco design delivers all the flavor without the gluten or meat.

Melita's Table is not just for those with special dietary needs. We are here to provide all-natural Latin offerings to customers who crave Old World flavors fused with modern-day health options; including nut-free, soy free, gluten free, and oil free menu items.

Las Vegas Restaurant Franchise Focuses on Equal Opportunity and Provides Leadership Roles for Women!

LAS VEGAS, Nev. /ScoopCloud/ -- Ori'Zaba's, one of Las Vegas's most popular scratch Mexican food franchises, has become a leading voice - and employer - for women who seek leadership roles in the restaurant industry.

The nineteen-year-old Mexican food franchise was founded by longtime Las Vegas restaurateur Kori McClurg, a military veteran and corporate executive, who understands the value women managers, employees and leaders bring to a company.

After serving in the United States Air Force and working as a defense contractor, Kori developed strong analytic and leadership skills, which she most recently put to work managing private investments and as an owner of Ori'Zaba's Scratch Mexican Grill.

"As a woman, who has fought her way up in the military and also the corporate chain of command, I know the challenges women face in the workplace. That's why Ori'Zaba's stresses a culture that celebrates women leaders," McClurg said.

The company actively engages in a hiring and promotional process that increases the number of talented women in leadership roles. More than 80 percent of the of Ori'Zaba's Franchise General Managers are women. About 60 percent of the company's executive team are women.

"Women make up the majority of the population and it's about time companies and franchises reflect that reality and bring more women into all workplaces," McClurg said.

"We wanted to enhance our culture, improve training, and reduce turnover. The people we have in our GM positions have been able to achieve that. I believe that is a testament to skills that are not traditionally thought of as strong leadership characteristics. When we start thinking about what actually impacts our business and the bottom line versus what makes a 'strong' leader, these women have been able to make a difference," McClurg said.

In honor of International Women's Day 2020, which takes place March 8, and to truly understand the significance of Ori'Zaba's commitment, McClurg said it is important to highlight the history of the international women's rights movement.

The History of International Women's Day
Since the first gathering in 1911, International Women's Day (IWD) has been celebrated annually on March 8.

In that time, the women's rights movement has celebrated many victories, including but not limited to:

* In 1948, the United Nations adopted the first international document to assert "the dignity and worth of the human person and [the] equal rights of men and women."
* In 1979, the UN General Assembly adopted the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women.
* In 2017, the Women's March on Washington, DC, became the largest international mass demonstration in support of women's rights. Affiliated marches were held in Accra, Bangkok, Paris, Nairobi, Belgrade, Buenos Aires, Krakow, and even Antarctica.

Women in Leadership

By 2018, women made up nearly half (46.9%) of the whole US labor force, yet they only accounted for slightly over a third (40.0%) of managers.

Believe it or not, in 2019, there were still fewer women in leadership positions than there were men named John.

That figure seems astounding in light of research conducted by Harvard Business Review found that, "Women Score Higher Than Men in Most Leadership Skills."

"As a woman who has served in the military and in the corporate world, I do understand the challenges that women face in the workplace. My intention has been to create a place where people can be successful right along with the company. Because of my experience, I have the objectivity to see what's actually valuable versus the way things have always been done or who has always done them," McClurg said.

There is no doubt that the healthy growth of Ori'Zaba's franchise family, since its creation in 2001, is in great part due to these amazing energetic women leaders.

Ladies, on behalf of the whole Ori'Zaba's franchise family - thank you!

Tips from the American Gem Society on Selling Your Fine Jewelry in 2020

LAS VEGAS, Nev. /ScoopCloud/ -- The diamond necklace from an ex, the gold watch that sits in your jewelry box, the ruby necklace that you loved-a decade ago. We all have jewelry that we no longer wear. Selling your old jewelry is an option, but it can be hard to know how and where to get started. Here are a few tips from the American Gem Society (AGS) on getting the most from your rings, earrings, bracelets, and necklaces.

1. Know the worth

You may love your jewelry, but the emotional value you assign to your jewelry often has little to do with the current fair market price of your piece. Many factors go into determining the current value of a piece of jewelry, including fashion and style, current condition, designer (or not), and wearability or repair needs. Remember, that chain or gold watch is always worth its weight in gold, but may not be worth any more than that.

The best way to determine your item's value is by due diligence. Let several jewelers evaluate it and ask for a purchase offer. Have an AGS trained Certified Gemologist® (CG), a Certified Gemologist® Appraiser (CGA) or an Independent Certified Gemologist® Appraiser (ICGA), recommend an accurate replacement value. Keep in mind that your used item will not bring the same price as a new comparable item.

It is important to know the new price in order to determine the selling price. You should expect low offers in comparison to the replacement value, because any jeweler who purchases it will try to resell it, and in effect becomes the middle-man who will sell it for a higher price to make a profit.

2. Be informed

Consider how quickly you want to sell your jewelry. If you want an immediate sale (i.e. cash in hand today), your options will be limited on where you can sell, and how much cash someone might be willing to pay immediately. Many jewelry stores offer a consignment option, where you leave your piece with them, and upon sale, they pay you. This is often the best way to maximize the money you receive.

If you are able to wait, researching some other possibilities could net you a better price for your jewelry, or provide other options, like re-setting gemstones from your jewelry into a new piece.

Visit an AGS jeweler who buys jewelry (not all do; make sure to call ahead) and learn your options to sell your piece or work out another solution.

3. Be realistic

Have a range in mind of what you would accept for the piece and be willing to accept an offer in that range. Be aware you may get offers that are higher, or possibly lower, based upon all the factors previously mentioned.

If you are looking for a jeweler in your area who might be interested in purchasing your jewelry, or if you are interested in re-setting your gemstones into a new piece, visit http://www.ags.org/findajeweler.

DoorBusters Lock and Safe Las Vegas Now Offers 24 Hour Guaranteed Services

LAS VEGAS, Nev. /ScoopCloud/ -- DoorBusters Lock & Safe Las Vegas, a community-focused locksmith service provider in Las Vegas, recently announced that their mobile team is now available 24 hours a day to provide impeccable services.

In terms of locksmith services, DoorBusters Lock & Safe Las Vegas has always raised the bars for its competitors. From residential to commercial, automotive to emergency, the locksmith Las Vegas NV company's services have been unmatched in terms of professionalism and timeliness. In keeping with the requirements of most customers, the leading locksmith company has decided to be operational for 24 hours a day and 365 days a year.

Customers can avail quality services as always, and also be relieved knowing that any repair or emergency issue would be provided to them on the same day, and the onus is on the 24 hour locksmith company to provide the customers with the right manpower.

"Often it happens that the client has called up the customer help desk section and the technicians have reached the destination instantly. But once the person has left, the customer has detected some major issue that wasn't resolved when the expert came at first. The company now ensures that the issue will again be responded to and the problem fixed, without any extra cost. It's recommended that the customers get their locks and keys checked and rechecked once the technician comes on board. This way they can save their money too," said Eli Levi, CEO of the company.

However, the 24 hour locksmith Las Vegas business owners also pointed at some granular details of the round-the-clock availability of their staff members. It is only after proving that the service dispensed was not perfect then the customer can get access to the second or third round of problem detection and inspection on the same day. Also, the team will reach the location at the earliest to provide the guarantee. But the customer must show the bill as valid proof.

Eli Levi, the CEO of the locksmith Las Vegas company who was present in the press conference said, "The 24-hour service guarantee is a new and much sought-after add-on. Most other organizations haven't taken this leap. But we know customers better and what they truly deserve. We insist them to avail this facility and be benefited likewise."

American Gem Society Offers Tips for Holiday Jewelry Purchases

LAS VEGAS, Nev. /ScoopCloud/ -- The American Gem Society (AGS), a nonprofit association dedicated to consumer protection and the ongoing education of jewelers, is providing tips for consumers to keep in mind this holiday season before hitting the stores to make significant diamond and jewelry purchases.

* Be aware of inflated pricing. If a discount seems too good to be true, it probably is. AGS member jewelers must adhere to standards of business conduct that strictly prohibit inflating a price by a certain percent, then advertising that it is that same percentage off.
* See it. Touch it. Feel it. Though the prices for jewelry found online are sometimes lower, AGS recommends that consumers see, touch, and feel the jewelry they are considering purchasing - especially diamonds. Online purchases can look different in person than on a screen.
* Ask for a diamond grading report. It's important to ask for a diamond grading report from an independent laboratory. A thorough grading report covers all 4Cs-cut, color, clarity, and carat-so that the jewelry buyers know and understand the quality of what they are purchasing. AGS Laboratories was founded in 1996 by AGS as a nonprofit diamond grading laboratory that shares their mission of consumer protection. This mission ensures jewelry buyers will receive an unbiased opinion on the quality of their diamond.
* Ask for Credentials. AGS encourages jewelry buyers to shop with a credentialed, professional jeweler, who is a member of an organization with a strict code of business ethics, such as AGS. By shopping with a jeweler who knows and understands gems and metals, jewelry buyers will feel less stress and more confident with their purchase.

To find a credentialed AGS jeweler, visit https://www.americangemsociety.org/find-a-jeweler.

Restaurant Veteran Launches Sustainable Latin-Based Delivery and Catering Service

LAS VEGAS, Nev. /ScoopCloud/ -- Longtime Las Vegas restaurateur Kori McClurg is on a mission to change and improve the way American's eat. McClurg, who operates a chain of Ori'Zaba's Scratch Mexican Grill restaurants in the Las Vegas area, is about to open "Melita's Table," a plant-based delivery and catering only kitchen concept to the Las Vegas community.

This new kitchen concept is a delivery only operation that does not have a storefront or in-store dining. The concept is ideal for on the go consumers who demand healthy food without the hassle of dining out.

Melita's Table, which opens on November 1, will provide all-natural Latin offerings to customers who crave Old World flavors fused with modern-day health options suited for many dietary needs; including nut-free, soy free, gluten free, and oil free menu items.

Melita's Table -- a delivery and catering only service - is aimed at customers who demand meals that stress healthy ingredients and environmental sustainability, but do not want to compromise on flavor.

"Amazing flavor is what we do, but it our food feels as good as it tastes. You don't need to compromise your values," McClurg said. "We bring Old World, wholesome foods right to your door."

The delivery and catering-only kitchen concept is relatively new to Las Vegas, McClurg said. "The food we create at Melita's Table is the kind of food people want," she said. "They want transparency in their meals; they want to feel better about what they are buying; they want real, whole foods. And they want food that supports sustainability and the environment. By using all plant-based ingredients and environmentally-sensitive packaging, we are working to sustain the planet."

All of the food created by Melita's Table is prepared in professional kitchens that follow all regulations. This delivery and catering only concept will lead to better efficiency, and sustainability, McClurg said.

McClurg has a military background where she learned how to lead and build efficient operations. She knows how to get the most from a dollar. Melita's Table will use dedicated spaces in professional kitchens, allowing for a better return on real estate. Food is prepared fresh, using efficient processes that provide matchless quality. Every step of the experience, from ordering to food preparation and delivery, has been thought through to ensure maximum value for the customer. At Melita's Table you get more goodness for your money. You can count on it.

But customers also want traditional meals that deliver all natural ingredients with an Old World twist.

McClurg struck upon her Latin-infused, all-natural kitchen concept after years of travel and food exploration across Mexico and Latin America. She studied the culinary techniques of Old Mexico. She also enlisted the help of other culinary experts local to Las Vegas. The result is a delivery and catering only concept that provides unique ingredients such as a Latin Skillet with Lentil Picadillo and Citrus Portobello. Whole grain options in many dishes include Red Quinoa and Farro. Pineapple and Cucumber salsa add a unique twist to many of the dishes such as Gluten Free Green Enchiladas and Street Tacos.

"Our delivery and catering only concept will provide a new, tantalizing dining experience which treads lightly on the Earth," McClurg said. "Our completely plant focused menu and recyclable packaging is just as important to us, as is creating tasty food."

And unlike most take-out styled restaurants, Melita's Table gives customers the option to create their own plates, based on their dietary needs.

"There is no such thing as a special order," she said. "We have a 'Build Your Own' menu section to let guests choose their favorite ingredients and customize their order."

McClurg currently employs 80 people with restaurant locations all across the Las Vegas metro area. Her restaurants have won many coveted awards at the Bite of Las Vegas.

But McClurg understands that her delivery and catering only concept, much like the food truck craze, will provide restaurateurs with a new opportunity. She said that Melita's Table will provide healthy, sustainable foods to families in a quick, and affordable way. The delivery and catering only concept will also create a unique eating experience for customers.

"Melita's Table is focused on creating Latin flavors that are delivered to you," McClurg said. "We will change the way Americans eat with food that is delivered fast, fresh and always healthy."

McClurg said she wants her Las Vegas vision to grow into a national franchise.

"This is just the start," she said. "We chose Las Vegas as ground zero for the franchise plan, because this is a foodie town with high expectations."

Melita's Table is set to open November 1, 2019.

American Gem Society Launches Digital Badging for Members

LAS VEGAS, Nev. /ScoopCloud/ -- The American Gem Society (AGS) announced today the launch of "digital badging" credentials for AGS members. The badges are the first of its kind in the jewelry industry.

A digital badge is a graphical icon that indicates the AGS members' credentials and accomplishments and is displayed, accessed, and verified online. The badge can be added to their email signature, website, or social media.

Consumers can click on the member's badge, which then takes them to an online source that goes into further detail about why they have earned that badge, the methods they took to achieve it, and how they are working to maintain their AGS credentials.

"As a titleholder, our members have pledged to uphold the AGS mission of maintaining and promoting strong business ethics, continuing education, and protecting the consumer," said Katherine Bodoh, RJ, CEO of the American Gem Society and AGS Laboratories. "In their stores, our members proudly display their certificates, but they cannot do that online or in emails. AGS Laboratories Releases Digital Diamond Grading Reports – Digital Format Serves as the Official Document #AskForAGS

LAS VEGAS, Nev. /ScoopCloud/ -- AGS Laboratories announces the launch of their grading reports in a digital platform. The digital documents serve as an official grading report and will be formatted the same as AGS Laboratories' printed documents.

"We're excited to add digital documents to our product offering. Digital documents help us in our commitment to environmental management by reducing paper, as well as, reducing operational costs for everyone in the supply chain across a variety of processes: shipping, storing, and replacement of lost documents," said Jason Quick, AGS Laboratories Executive Director.

The document resides on AGS Laboratories Only My Diamond(R) (OMD) so that consumers are getting the benefits of the platform, including an actual video of the diamond, a clear-cut explanation of the 4Cs, the diamond's clarity plot, laser inscription, and social media sharing options. Previous versions of OMD had an online copy of the grading report, while the official document was in printed form.

"By incorporating the official digital grading report into the OMD experience, the retailer can present the diamond with a grading report that their customers will find both fun and interesting," said Quick.

Another benefit of the digital report is that no app is needed: the document can be accessed through the Report Verification function on agslab.com or from display cards in the store, which features a QR Code linking to the document. If a consumer, retailer, or the supplier wants a physical grading report, one can be ordered from AGS Laboratories.

The first digital documents are already in use by Helzberg Diamonds(R) for the Kalahari Dream(R) collection, in advance of the holiday shopping season.

To learn more about AGS Laboratories and the products and services that they offer, including the digital documents, visit https://www.americangemsociety.org/page/aboutagslabs or contact support@agslab.com.

About AGS Laboratories:

The American Gem Society saw a need in the jewelry industry for a diamond grading laboratory that shared their mission and values, and created AGS Laboratories in 1996 to fill that need. AGS Laboratories is the world's leading diamond grading laboratory for the Cut grade and revolutionized the diamond industry when it released its groundbreaking light performance grading system for diamond cut.
