3Aware and John Snow Labs Announce Partnership to Deliver Multimodal De-Identification Inside the 3Aware Evidence Vault

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. and LEWES, Del., July 22, 2026 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — 3Aware today announced a formal partnership with John Snow Labs to embed their world-class multimodal de-identification capabilities directly within the 3Aware Evidence Vault, enabling health systems to unlock governed, privacy-protected real-world clinical data for scalable research and commercialization—while keeping data and analytic processing inside the provider environment.

Image caption: 3Aware and John Snow Labs Announce Partnership to Deliver Multimodal De-Identification Inside the 3Aware Evidence Vault.

The partnership combines 3Aware’s Evidence Vault model, built to activate longitudinal, multimodal clinical data under each health system’s strict governance and controls, with John Snow Labs’ in-environment de-identification technology for multimodal clinical data, including structured data and unstructured EHR data, PDFs, DICOM, FHIR, and text reports. John Snow Labs’ capabilities—available at no charge to 3Aware’s healthcare provider data partners—are integrated directly into 3Aware’s native data curation and transformation workflow. Together, the companies will help health systems operationalize HIPAA Expert Determination workflows, preserve longitudinal linkage through consistent tokenization, and accelerate the creation of research-ready cohorts without moving raw patient data outside institutional control.

With this foundation in place, 3Aware can scale in silico, non-interventional observational studies by more easily surfacing and interpreting the longitudinal clinical context embedded across complete episodes of care, including the unstructured clinical narrative that structured coding and claims typically miss. Faster de-identification via John Snow Labs reduces the time needed to onboard new health system partners and produce research-ready datasets—supporting both internal KOL-led research and life sciences-funded research collaborations at greater scale—within the 3Aware Evidence Vault. As 3Aware expands from industry-sponsored evidence programs to support investigator-led research within academic medical centers, the combined solution accelerates comparative effectiveness research (CER) and value analysis across interventions, pathways, procedures, and patient subgroups.

“This partnership advances our core principle: health systems shouldn’t have to choose between protecting patient privacy and unlocking meaningful evidence,” said William (Bill) Moss, CEO of 3Aware. “By integrating John Snow Labs’ multimodal de-identification inside the 3Aware Evidence Vault, we’re making it easier for providers to participate as Commercial Data Partners—safely generating scalable, defensible real-world evidence and enabling new, non-reimbursement revenue through governed research collaboration.”

“As healthcare organizations move from pilot projects to scalable secondary use, the ability to de-identify multimodal clinical data where it lives is foundational,” said David Talby, CEO, John Snow Labs. “Partnering with 3Aware brings our de-identification capabilities into a federated evidence infrastructure designed for real operational constraints: governance, auditability, and reliable outputs.”

“For health systems, de-identification is one of the biggest determinants of whether secondary-use research can scale responsibly,” said Neil Martin, former Chief Quality Officer of Geisinger, former Chief Medical Officer of Providence Southern Division, and 3Aware Strategic Advisory Board Member.  “Having trusted, world-class multimodal de-identification capabilities embedded directly within the 3Aware Evidence Vault helps mitigate risk and accelerates the ability to participate, so health systems can unlock research value while maintaining the privacy protections and governance patients and institutions expect.”

ABOUT 3AWARE

3Aware provides a Clinical Scientific Workbench and Evidence Vault that enable health systems to generate real-world evidence from longitudinal clinical records—structured and unstructured—processed within the health system’s secure cloud. The platform supports rapid cohort definition, preserves full episode-of-care context, and uses interpretive AI to surface determinant clinical signals for defensible analysis. This model strengthens investigator-led research within partner institutions and enables MedTech manufacturers to run in silico, non-interventional observational studies on devices as used at the point of care. Today, 3Aware supports 15 leading manufacturers, including Medtronic®, Johnson & Johnson®, Boston Scientific®, Stryker®, BD®, Zimmer Biomet®, CONMED®, and Teleflex®. See https://3aware.ai/ for more information.

ABOUT JOHN SNOW LABS

CFD Companies’ Support of Social Media Marketing Validated by Adviser Appearance at Jolt! Conference

KOKOMO, Ind., July 15, 2025 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — CFD Companies’ efforts to support adviser marketing were validated recently when CFD affiliated financial adviser Rachael Camp was a featured panelist at the 2025 Jolt! Conference. Social media marketing remains prohibited at many financial services firms, but CFD has calculated that the extra regulatory burdens are a part of providing exceptional service to CFD affiliated financial professionals.

Image caption: CFD Companies logo.

“There is significant effort by the home office to maintain an environment where our financial professionals can leverage modern marketing without stepping out of line. It’s not easy, but we never want to be a reason why our advisers and professionals struggle to grow their business,” said Brent Owens, President of CFD Companies.

The Jolt! Conference is a three-day event hosted by marketing firm Snappy Kraken. As a featured panelist, Ms. Camp shared her experiences using digital tools to foster connections and business growth. The success she has achieved in just three to four years on the platform X (formerly Twitter) is remarkable.

Reflecting on her relationship with CFD, Ms. Camp said, “The encouraging thing to me is that it’s clear that CFD wants to be a partner in my growth, both professionally and personally. I’m sure I could ask for things where the answer might be ‘no,’ but my experience has generally been, ‘Well that’s interesting, let’s look at the regulation and figure this out.’”

Camp will also be taking the main stage at CFD Companies’ annual fall conference this September. The conference is expected to draw over 250 financial advisers who wish to foster growth and innovation. It is also open to non-CFD advisors who are serious about practice growth. It will take place in CFD’s home office auditorium. There is no charge for financial advisers to attend, but space is limited.

CFD Companies Focuses on Building Community with Financial Professionals in 2025

KOKOMO, Ind., Jan. 21, 2025 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — CFD Companies, home to a fully independent Broker/Dealer and RIA, announced key community building initiatives for 2025. Though the firm has experienced significant growth, it remains committed to fostering a family-like community that is the foundation for delivering exceptional service.

CFD Companies
Image caption: CFD Companies.

KEY INITIATIVES RECENTLY ANNOUNCED WERE:

  • 25th Anniversary Presidential Adviser Trip: CFD will celebrate the 25th anniversary of its prestigious Presidential Advisor Trip, taking 32 of its top-performing financial professionals to Turks and Caicos.
  • Emerging Adviser Trip: Building on the success of the inaugural trip in 2024, CFD will host 16 high-achieving financial professionals under the age of 45 on an exclusive trip designed to foster professional growth and camaraderie.
  • Kingdom Advisors Conference Support: CFD will continue to support the Kingdom Advisors Conference by hosting a dinner exclusively for CFD advisors and a lunch open to all attendees (space limited).

In recent years, the number of Broker/Dealer & RIA hybrid firms has drastically reduced, often leading to thousands of financial professionals affiliated under one umbrella. While this potentially indicates that financial professionals no longer seek the highly personalized service that comes from a tight-knit community, CFD Companies believes otherwise.

“We often hear from financial advisers who are looking to make a change in firm affiliation because they desire a personal relationship with their home office,” says Brent Owens, President of CFD Companies. “There are some instances where home office to adviser communication has been reduced to an electronic ticket queue. We strive to embrace and adopt the latest in technological advancements, but not to replace the relationships we have built with our adviser-partners.

“We believe that the service we provide our financial advisers must, at a minimum, match the level of service they provide to their clients. As such, we will always seek opportunities to build the type of relationships with our adviser-partners that empower exceptional service from us to them and down the line.”

CFD Companies states this event list is not comprehensive. Other opportunities are being evaluated, and they are planning to host two separate in-person conferences this year at their home office. Independent financial professionals who would like more information about CFD Companies, or to inquire about the current availability of adviser partnerships, are encouraged to check the joincfd.com website.

How A Mortgage Focused Agency Launched to Make Impact

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. /ScoopCloud/ -- In the heart of Indianapolis, Indiana is a marketing agency focused on helping mortgage lenders and technology overcome obstacles, develop marketing strategies, and grow their business. That agency is Art Vs. Math. In 2019, Steven Cooley started Art Vs. Math to help improve marketing in the mortgage industry.

"The mortgage industry continues to struggle developing creative, relevant marketing content, and strategies to set themselves apart from each other," stated Steven Cooley, Art Vs. Math founder.

Cooley, a former marketing executive at Finance of America Holdings, got his start in mortgage as a call center loan officer in their reverse mortgage division. Upon awaiting his mortgage license, he noticed some marketing improvements and was allowed an opportunity to utilize his unique acumen to grow their marketing division. He was promptly promoted to AVP of Digital Marketing and experienced much success, which enabled him to be promoted again to Director of Digital Marketing at Finance of America Holdings.

In April 2019, Cooley fired up Art Vs. Math, and immediately started working with top ten lenders and some of the most notable technology companies in the industry. In conjunction with running the agency, Mortgage Advisor Tools was developed to help mortgage loan officers discover new technology. This effort continues to thrive, and dozens of technology companies are leveraging the platform to expand their marketing reach. Due to their considerable growth came new hire, Marketing Manager Cheyenne Pauley, hailing from Charleston, West Virginia. Cheyenne was a part of the horrific Sprout closure that displaced hundreds of mortgage professionals.

With this new growth, Art Vs. Math developed a new website to help mortgage lenders and technology companies better understand the product offerings. "We had to take a dose of our own medicine and provide a more concise way to define our products and how we can help our industry overcome their challenges.

"2022 has proven that our services and areas of expertise will be essential, and we are excited about the new opportunities," says Cooley. "The new website separates Lenders and Technology, providing nuanced agency/consultancy products that break down their service offerings for each audience. The Core Values product is a workshop that lenders or technology companies can experience to help them define who they are, why they are who they are, and an action plan to reinforce those principles."

He adds, "The company also offers a marketing audit to determine how well a company's marketing works. Lenders of all sizes need a marketing resource that fits their budget and will appreciate taking advantage of the Shared Services product. Shared Services allows Lenders to customize their marketing services to meet their business objectives."

About Art Vs. Math:

Art Vs. Math wants to help the mortgage industry solve its problems. Whether through strategy building, creativity, or one of its product lines, the mortgage industry would be well served to find industry experts to help them accomplish their goals. 2022 has been one of those years; we've seen massive layoffs, closures, and a significant drop in loan volume. There is considerable opportunity to grow your business. "This year is all about market share, says Cooley; whoever stays top of mind the longest will sustain this year and be positioned for hyper-growth." David Vass’ One Man Show ‘What Could Go Wrong?’ Plays Six Performances at IndyFringe in August

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. /ScoopCloud/ -- 71-year-old gay elder David Vass, who participated in the birthing of the gay liberation movement from seedlings, performs his long-awaited one-man show, "What Could Go Wrong?" - a series of monologues based on over 70 diaries kept since Vass was seven years old, at IndyFringe.

A minimalist set reflects the intimate ambiance for his brutally honest, dramatic, funny, disturbing and at times cringe-worthy series of monologues culled from the diaries that he has kept for over 60 years, creating the bones of this extraordinary 'evening with', slightly condensed performance.

His one-man show, just prior to the onset of the pandemic, traveled to New York City, London, San Francisco and Australia. As the realities of the travel restrictions because of COVID were realized, David used that two-year period to rewrite the live version material and create the movie script. He also redesigned the play website, created his YouTube Television Channel, and legalized the production company ('I'm Afraid Knot LLC') into a non-profit 501(c) organization.

Fervently believing, given the content and candid honesty of this adults-only production, that "audience members should feel free to walk out, no offense taken by me," he also reminds the audiences of seeing the performances remembering his strong belief that our collective freedom of speech is under attack during these 'woke' times. This first half of his life can be brutal and repugnant, as life can be. There are performances where the coarse language used can come under attack, which he brushes off with "this is how white trash talked in those days."

For a flavor of the content and intensity of the production, he suggests having a free look at the four-minute sizzle/teaser reel found on the play's website: https://www.whatcouldgowrong-theplay.com/.

David says, "My young brothers and sisters, Cis or Gay or however you identify from the current 14-pronoun, one adjective non-binary tribe of which I am a member, you've been handed rights, gay and straight and a large degree of equality and variety on a silver platter this past decade, and off the backs of us elders who remember how we got from the early 50's to now. With RvW overturned (making way for gay marriage and other human rights to be overturned as well), get ready to put your/our bodies on the streets again, blocking the streets again, making noise on the streets again and taking over the streets again."

He recalls at seven years of age (1957 and the year he outed himself) being asked if he was a 'butch or a fem', a few years later a 'top or a bottom', skip forward to 'are you bi'. These questions all asked in the 50's and with no resources for Vass to reference - he didn't know any of those words. He learned at 14 what fellatio meant when a uniformed policeman pulled him into an alley and demanded just that. His first sexual encounter was not warm and fuzzy but makes for a sad but fascinating monologue segment about that time in gay history when the police and the Mafia pulled the strings on what the gay tribe could or could not do, and the prices paid for that suppression.

Vass reflects, "This history, this collection of real stories needs to be told, to be kept alive in the first-person for generations of our tribe who follow. Please be clear, this is not a gay play, it is a series of experiences told in monologues with the details refreshed by my beloved diaries - a series of encounters and life-changing events I have lived. Yes, I happen to be gay, and I use this theatrical forum to tell the absolute truth as I know it, and it is from a gay perspective. How could it not be? This was all seen through my eyes. I believe the monologues are relatable to everyone, and this condensed 'evening with' also features stories about my time working with strippers, Broadway stars, movie legends, Grammy winning singers, assorted celebrities and so much more. We are all humans first, and then members of whatever 'tribe' we resonate to."

The performances are the last three weekends of August and the Labor Day weekend, in Indianapolis, with the specific dates and times available, and also ticket sales on the IndyFringe website https://indyfringe.org/.

Vass asks the Indianapolis / Indiana community to support local artists and see his show by purchasing tickets now and reading additional information about IndyFringe on their website.

Snippets of what some others (reviewers, bloggists, interviewers, audience members) have to say about 'What Could Go Wrong?'...

Hugh M. Langford, Cultural and Theatre Critic-At-Large, London Review: "One story was considered by some attendees to be so offensive they walked out (4 to be exact). He is not pornographic or rude, but he is unabashedly rough, blue, and unafraid to present adult material without the ribbon and bow. At last, a show for grown-ups - imagine! A hero's medal to David Vass, diarist and storyteller, for wringing humanity out of part one of his life and sharing it with us without a hint of embarrassment or shame. His is a skilled and fully realized performance. If you can find this show, see it. You may not like it but see it." (2021)

Joshua Ringwald, Lifestyle Blog Cultural Writer, NYC Review: "I was mesmerized throughout - at times shocked, embarrassed, angry, doubtful - is this for real, is this a play in disguise, am I watching a brilliant actor or one of the most honest and adept liars I've ever listened to? And laughter, so much laughter, and a dose of weeping too. Currently he self-produces, which he can ill afford. Calling all agents, bookers and producers; this is a gold mine in waiting. This needs to be seen by a lot of people. This is worthy of a long Off-Broadway run! See it. A brilliant evening - honest!"

Rita Kohn, Arts Writer, Nuvo, Indianapolis Review: "We cry, laugh, sigh, smile, cheer, groan - we come away uplifted by your honesty, lifeforce. Story is at the center and we love a good story. David Vass imbues the 'epitome of urbane,' which he brushes off with an airwave. One of my favorite monologues is him literally pooping himself at Lincoln Center having Montezuma's revenge during a concert doing sound and lights for a two-time Grammy winner. It's all in this show. Really it is not a play so much as an 'evening with', in the tradition of Quintin Crisp, David Sedaris and Augusten Burroughs - all cringe memoirists."

Audience Member After Performance in San Francisco: "Oh my God, I hope he has a good lawyer because I can't believe what came out of his mouth about those celebrities he worked with!"

Vandi Lynnae releases remix album ‘The Beginning’

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. /ScoopCloud/ -- Releasing just one album was never going to be enough for Indianapolis singer-songwriter Vandi Lynnae, who released her album "The Beginning" earlier this year. Wanting to explore her music one step further, Lynnae decided to transform her heartfelt pop album into an infectious EDM record curated of 20 songs, 9 of which are remixed from the original project.

"The Beginning (Remix)" is a feel-good collection of tracks made for the dance floor, released on 27th October 2021, and is now available on all digital platforms.

"This is a remix of my debut album 'The Beginning' but also has some new songs as well. The album is great if you want dance rhythms, ready to motivate you in the early morning or get the blood pumping for your workouts," says Vandi Lynnae, explaining the new approach to her signature pop ballads.

What's impressive about the remix release is that Lynnae is still at the core of the record, whether in the emotive vocal performance or the relatable storytelling, the EDM fusion is simply a new flavor added to an already delightful recipe. Where there was once acoustic rawness in Vandi Lynnae's composition, now exists an energetic, upbeat backdrop of distinctive EDM elements including playful kicks, hi-hats and claps, and magnetic synthesizers.

The impact of this electronic soundscape still leaves space for Lynnae's unique vocals and the familiarity of the piano, such as tracks like "Living In A Fantasy," "Time Hurts" and "Lie To Me," while the acoustic guitar appears on "Power Rise," and pizzicato strings feature in "I Fall." The sweetness of Lynnae's voice and melody is still apparent amidst the electronics and percussive rhythms, a reminder of Vandi Lynnae's talent and perhaps an acknowledgement to her inspirations; Ellie Goulding, Sia and Bebe Rexha.

True to the genre's form, there's a multitude of dance-worthy drops, fun vocal-pitching effects and catchy refrains that make the remixes a perfect fit for nightclubs and feel-good festival vibes, transporting Vandi Lynnae's music into whole new worlds.

As the album comes to a close, Lynnae treats listeners to festive Christmas remixes, a project that Lynnae has embraced as she works on her Christmas album 'Holiday Healing', scheduled for a Christmas Eve release, sharing singles every week throughout November and December.

Travel Back in Time on a Virtual 3D Tour to the Famed Roman Temples of Baalbek

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. /ScoopCloud/ -- The famous temple complex of Baalbek, the ancient Heliopolis in Lebanon, is one of the largest Roman religious sites in the world and part of the world heritage. Baalbek has a rich history that goes back to around 8,000 BC. The remaining six pillars of the Temple of Jupiter are now a landmark of Lebanon. On March 31, the "Baalbek Reborn: Temples" app from Flyover Zone will launch using the latest technology to reconstruct what today's ruins looked like in the past. On a journey through time, the virtual tour brings this heritage back to life and shows the Temple of Jupiter Heliopolitanus, the Temple of Bacchus, the Temple of Venus and the Temple of the Muses.

This extraordinary experience is the result of a collaboration between the Lebanese General Department of Antiquities (DGA), the German Archaeological Institute (DAI) and Flyover Zone, a US-based company that specializes in virtual time travel to cultural heritage sites. Experts from the DAI who have been working on the site since 1998 provided the scientific basis for the 3D reconstructions. By using the latest technology, Flyover Zone succeeded in creating an impressive experience taking users on a journey into the past.

"What's fascinating about Baalbek is not only the Roman temples, but also its almost 10,000-year history," stresses Margarete van Ess, director of the Orient Department of the German Archaeological Institute and longstanding head of scientific research in Baalbek. "As an archaeologist, finds and research results give me images in my mind of what this special place looked like at that time. It's fantastic that the temples are now given shape in the app and can be viewed by people all over the world!" says van Ess.

The depth and relevance of the scientific knowledge conveyed via the app makes Baalbek Reborn: Temples unique. Users can choose to move either virtually through today's excavation site or through the digital reconstruction of the ancient religious sites. The audio track, optionally in Arabic, French, English or German, provides scientifically sound knowledge and explanations. There are 38 stops distributed across the temple complexes, presented by the researchers of the DAI. This makes the app equally interesting for laypeople and experts.

Bernard Frischer, founder and president of Flyover Zone stated: "For Flyover Zone, this project has been a dream come true. In addition to the sheer size of the Baalbek sanctuary, its cultural significance cannot be exaggerated. In antiquity, people from distant points of the empire consulted the oracle of Baalbek, and we even have records of emperors doing so, too. Now we are using what we learned to bring Baalbek into the classrooms and living rooms of students and the general public. We hope that thousands of people around the world will download the virtual tour and use it to whet their appetite to visit the site when the COVID-19 pandemic passes and international travel is possible again."

"The Baalbek Reborn: Temples" virtual tour is provided free of charge thanks to the generosity of Bassam Alghanim who donated the funds in loving memory of his parents, Yusuf and Ilham Alghanim. The DAI and Flyover Zone thus contribute to promoting a deeper understanding of the importance of the ancient temples, making scientific knowledge more widely accessible and promoting Baalbek as an important tourist site.

The virtual tour can be downloaded for use on smartphones and tablets (Android, iOS), PCs and laptops (Macintosh, Windows 10) as well as VR headsets (Oculus Go, Oculus Quest, Oculus Rift, Oculus Rift-S, HTC Vive).

Indiana 5G Zone Launches as First to Demonstrate Quantum-Safe Encryption as A Service for 5G IoT Systems

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. /ScoopCloud/ -- In September 2020, the quantum-safe XQ Message platform was successfully deployed at the Indiana 5G Zone's Advanced Innovation & Test Lab in a service configuration. Quantum-safe encryption ensures that data can be kept safe from existing data exfiltration as well as future quantum computing attacks. The Indiana 5G Zone is the first to demonstrate Quantum-safe Encryption as a Service (QEaaS) transparently protects and tracks IoT data as it moves across 5G infrastructure.

* The Indiana 5G Zone utilized XQ Message's crypto-agile platform to transparently encrypt IoT data and track movement via management system

* The Zone is planning to offer Quantum-safe Encryption as a Service (QEaaS) to academic and commercial 5G networks across America

The Indiana 5G Zone was established in partnership with the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) to leverage Indiana's developing digital infrastructure in order to catalyze innovation and support rapidly-developing companies. Its focus is on 5G solution architecture such as Advanced Manufacturing and Smart Communities. This initiative focuses on commercial 5G applications that provide cost savings and the creation of new service concepts. To date, the Zone has secured academic and manufacturing partnerships as well as 50 development partners.

XQ Message was selected by the Zone due to their ability to support a wide array of Quantum-safe algorithms and their management dashboard to provide the tracking and billing required for Quantum-safe Encryption as a Service (QEaaS). XQ provides IoT systems a crypto-agile Quantum-safe data protection solution that supports all of the new Quantum-safe algorithms currently being reviewed by NIST. Most importantly the Indiana 5G Zone plans to offer Quantum-safe Encryption as a service (QEaaS) to academic and commercial 5G networks across America.

"Within a very short time the Indiana 5G Zone has established an ecosystem that brings together over 50 local and global partners together. Our goal is to become the rapid innovation leader for dual-use, secure 5G technologies," said Sean Hendrix, Director of the Indiana 5G Zone.

"Protecting data must be the highest priority for 5G networks. The partnership between the Indiana 5G Zone and XQ to create a Quantum-safe encryption service is a national security achievement," said Bob Flores, Former CTO of the CIA, XQ Message Board Advisor.

"Indiana is committed to investing in emerging areas like 5G to position the state for long-term competitiveness and economic growth," said David Roberts, IEDC Chief Innovation Officer. "With this new initiative at the Indiana 5G Zone, the state will continue to attract more diverse companies to Indiana while leading in the development of 5G-enabled technologies."

"Public - public research partnerships with the Department of Defense and State initiatives such as the Indiana 5G Zone will be critical to reducing the cost and development time for 5G innovation," said Randy Clark, Vice Chair National Spectrum Consortium (NSC).

The rollout of this 5G initiative enables a new level of encryption security in our national data and communication infrastructure. The selection of XQ Message, a California startup, was based on their new type of API-based edge-encryption technology that is able to support all the algorithms that NIST is reviewing. XQ provides a future proof data protection solution for IoT systems by eliminating the need to write code as agents in 5G Gateways and MEC nodes automatically update the algorithms.

"We are excited to be selected by the Indiana 5G Zone as the platform for their Quantum-safe Encryption as a service (QEaaS). QEaaS is a breakthrough in simplicity and scale for IoT data protection that XQ looks forward to rolling out across America," said Brian Wane, CEO XQ Message.

Those interested in becoming a member of the Indiana 5G Zone should reach out to info@wherespeedmatters.com for more details. The lab welcomes all private, government, and academic entities, as well as students and individuals.

iConnect Launches Remote Technology Systems for Companies to Take Employee Temperatures and to Handle Bill of Lading Process to Combat COVID-19

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. /ScoopCloud/ -- iConnect, a technology company that creates tracking systems for data collection, has developed two programs that will help mitigate the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The PIP-ILI System (Possibly Infected Person-Identify, Locate, Isolate) was created to assist companies in taking proactive and preventative measures to protect their employees, as well as the public, from COVID-19, with two products: TrackYourText and NoTouchBOL.

Both products are able to identify when a "Possibly Infected Person," (PIP) is showing symptoms of COVID-19 or has a persistent fever.

TrackYourText was developed for employers to take the temperatures of their employees from their mobile phones, collecting that information, as well as their location data, which is then displayed on a PIP-ILI map, per state, in order to track and monitor possibly infected persons. Each day, companies are able to send bulk text messages, simultaneously, to each of their employees, with a link, where they input their temperature, in addition to their location, if required by the company.

TrackYourText also returns data without the use of a GPS tracking app. While this monitoring system might be mandated by companies and considered a crucial step towards protecting their staff, employees should be informed that TrackYourText does not install any tracking tools on their phones, and they have the right to choose whether they will respond to or share their private information with this voluntary technology.

NoTouchBOL is a logistics system that prevents carriers from having direct contact with shipping personnel that are required to sign bill of ladings. NoTouchBOL also captures the location of carriers, tracks their route, monitoring if they have had direct contact with previous freights they have picked up and delivered. This information is then displayed on a PIP-ILI map, per state, tracing their exact route. The map can be used to show if an employee, from another company, who might have come into direct contact with the carrier, is diagnosed with COVID symptoms, and when and where possible infection might have occurred. Both the carrier and employee can then immediately be identified as possibly infected persons.

Indiana Coffee Roaster Brings Home Three Medals from World’s Largest Roasting Competition

EVANSVILLE, Ind. /ScoopCloud/ -- Evansville Coffee Company brought home three medals from the fifth annual Golden Bean North America Roasting Competition. Since its launch in 2015, the Golden Bean North America has grown to include more than 1,300 coffees submitted to this year's competition from the best roasters across the USA and Canada.

Evansville Coffee Company won bronze medals for each of their submissions in the Pour Over Filter category, for their Honduras - Finca San Isidro natural processed coffee, the San Miguel Bonanza "Pacamargo" from Guatemala, and Organic Bali Kintamani natural processed coffee.

"We submitted some of our favorite coffees, but also among our most difficult to roast. Natural processed coffees take more time and care to produce impressive results, and we are just glad the industry agrees that we offer something exceptional in the coffees we select," commented Tim Piazza, owner and roastmaster at Evansville Coffee Company. "Winning national recognition while in just our third year of business speaks highly of the coffee producers and importers we work with."

The competition is blind-judged over a three-day period by professional coffee roasters from across North America. Each coffee is tasted and scored by two judges, and the best coffees are additionally evaluated by category judges for final determination. Coffees are submitted in 10 categories, and all submissions must be coffees that the roaster offers as part of their available selections and not special coffees obtained for the sole purpose of entering the competition.

Roasted coffee can be purchased online at https://EvansvilleCoffee.com

About The Golden Bean:

The Golden Bean was launched in Australia in 2005 as an annual competition to determine the best coffee roasters in Australia, and then expanded to North America in 2015, making it the world's largest roasting competition spanning two continents. More than 500 coffee roasting companies across North America competed in this year's competition for bronze, silver, and gold awards in 10 categories. Recipients of the Golden Bean and judged by their peers, fellow professional coffee roasters, to be among the best in North America.

About Evansville Coffee Company:

Evansville Coffee Company began as an idea Tim Piazza hatched during preparation for a talk at TEDxEvansville in 2016 where he shared how anyone could create a bulletproof career. The company started roasting commercially in 2017 out of a concession trailer, and then expanded to its current roasting facility where a wide selection of specialty grade coffees are roasted to order for coffee shops, restaurants, and businesses who prefer to serve exceptional coffee.

Mayor Joe Hogsett Joins Indiana Contractors and Lawmakers to Stand Up to Tax Fraud at The Indiana Statehouse

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. /ScoopCloud/ -- Over 100 Indiana lawmakers, contractors and construction workers will gather at the Indiana Statehouse on Monday, April 15, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the north atrium to shine a spotlight on the alleged corrupt practices of illegitimate contractors who steal billions of dollars from our communities - money that should be spent on education, public safety and infrastructure, the Indiana Kentucky Ohio Regional Council of Carpenters announced today.

Tax fraud is just one aspect of the illegal business practices plaguing the industry, along with wage theft, independent contractor misclassification, and workers' compensation insurance fraud.

Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett will share his thoughts on tax fraud in Indianapolis and how it hurts the city. Mayor Hogsett addresses the crowd at 12:15 p.m. "It's tax fraud, because it's the taxes that you and I pay that are being manipulated," said Joe Hogsett, Mayor of Indianapolis. "From neighborhood-based programs, to major initiatives, to the public/private partnerships that drive our city forward - all of these things are only possible when everyone pays their fair share."

The Construction Industry Partnership will be joined by the Indiana Kentucky Ohio Regional Council of Carpenters, state & local lawmakers and some of the state's most prominent business owners in the fight to crack down on these destructive and illegal business practices.

Construction industry tax fraud and related crimes and violations are happening every day on large-scale projects, costing Hoosier communities an estimated $405 million dollars statewide in lost federal and state taxes.

Recovering unpaid tax dollars in Indiana could pay for:
* 8,741 state troopers
* 7,937 teachers
* 325 miles of resurfaced highways
* 783 small business loans.

The April 15 rally in Indianapolis is part of the nationwide Construction Industry Tax Fraud Days of Action by the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America to raise awareness and generate action against tax fraud and related crimes.

Demaree Crossing Assisted Living and Memory Care Hosts Free Memory Care Workshops

GREENWOOD, Ind. /ScoopCloud/ -- Meridian Senior Living's Demaree Crossing Assisted Living and Memory Care hosts two ongoing memory care workshops: Caregiver Cafe and Mini Dementia Workshops every month onsite at 1255 Demaree Road, Greenwood, IN 46143. These workshops are vital as the global impact of dementia is staggering.

As of 2015, there were 9.9 million new cases world-wide with one diagnosed every 3 seconds. With that in mind, all of us will be affected by Alzheimer's in one way or another and understanding about the disease becomes increasingly important to be able to capably deal with afflicted family members and loved ones.

These two workshops are based on Meridian Senior Living's special memory care programming: Montessori Moments in Time (MMIT) to offer families and caregivers strategies to cope with challenging times. The goals of MMIT at Demaree Crossing are to enhance living for those with memory challenges by using the five directional paths.

Each directional path has the resident and family in mind to encourage independence and helps deal with the progression of Alzheimer's disease and other related dementias. These paths include Family Connections, Health and Wellness, Dining Experience, Life Engagement, and Team Promise. Family Connections focus on the well-being of our families through social gatherings, volunteer opportunities, support, and education. Health and Wellness is based on providing satisfying experiences, promoting independence, and encouraging positive behavior while maintaining respect and dignity. The Dining Experience leverages meals as a time to reminisce, create new memories, maximize independence, and promote socializing, all in an inviting environment. Life Engagement includes scheduled programs that support the whole person allowing residents to function at their highest potential, giving them a sense of purpose and overall well-being. Team Promise focuses on developing care partnerships through ongoing education and training.

The Caregiver Cafe program offers an opportunity for caregivers of loved ones who suffer from Alzheimer's or dementia to participate in a forum to ask questions while being surrounded by others going through their same situation. Demaree Crossing's onsite experts serve as a resource to better understand the loved one's condition. Caregiver Cafes are held the third Wednesday of every month at 6 p.m. at Demaree Crossing. The next Caregiver Cafe will be on March 20th at 6 p.m.

Understanding the challenges caregivers of those who suffer from Alzheimer's or dementia face daily, onsite experts run the free Mini-Dementia workshops that cover topics of importance to caregivers. Each month, the Mini-Dementia workshops cover a different topic regarding memory impairment. Future topics include: "Validation: The Language of Dementia," "Care for the Caregiver," and "How to respond to Behaviors in the Memory Impaired." These workshops are free and include a delicious nutritionally-balanced lunch prepared by Demaree Crossing's Chef Chris. The next Mini-Dementia workshop: "Engaging the Memory Impaired" will be held on March 28, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Demaree Crossing.

Since there are limited spaces in these workshops, interested participants should call (317) 316-8380 to R.S.V.P. one day before the event. For more information about Demaree Crossing Assisted Living and Memory Care, visit: https://www.demareecrossing.com/ or call (317) 316-8380.

New Wellness Council Partnership Aims to Combat Indiana Obesity Rates

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. /ScoopCloud/ -- On Target Health announces a new partnership with the Wellness Council of Indiana (WCI), a subsidiary of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, which aims to create a healthier Indiana through employer-sponsored weight management programs that target obesity.

WCI members will receive exclusive program pricing through On Target Health.

The cost of obesity in Indiana is steep. Aside from potentially leading to serious health concerns such as hypertension, diabetes and heart disease, obesity adds roughly $11.9 billion in increased health care costs, lower productivity and other related impacts.

Data from the Alliance for a Healthier Indiana shows that obesity drives up health care costs for all employees, as obese employees generate more than $51,000 in medical claims (per 100 full-time employees) each year, compared with $7,500 for healthy weight workers.

Reducing state obesity levels to below 20 percent of the state's population is one of the goals of the Indiana Chamber's Indiana Vision 2025 plan. Current statewide obesity levels are much higher than 20 percent, with about one in every three Hoosier adults qualifying as "obese," according to the Alliance for a Healthier Indiana.

"The new partnership between the Wellness Council and On Target Health is another step toward achieving the goals within Indiana Vision 2025 to help create a thriving, healthy workforce in Indiana," says Jennifer Pferrer, executive director of WCI. "Our mission is to work collaboratively and impact the economic vitality of the state by working with employers to help guide workplaces and communities through the development of comprehensive health and wellness strategies."

"To partner with the Wellness Council and support their efforts with the Indiana Vision 2025 is a great opportunity for On Target Health. We want to be a part of the solution and support the WCI to realize their objectives," says Todd Foushee, co-founder and CEO of On Target Health. "We are providing services to many respected employers in Indiana and assisting their employees and dependents who have struggled with losing and sustaining weight loss. Aligning with the WCI helps us to reach additional employers who are equally as passionate about wellness and prevention."

Local Foot and Ankle Surgeon Heals His Own Foot Pain with New Brace

CARMEL, Ind. /ScoopCloud/ -- An idea for a new medical device for foot pain surfaced when podiatrist Dr. Patrick DeHeer suffered from posterior tibial tendonitis - a common foot and ankle problem - after taking up running. Since traditional treatment options weren't efficient or effective enough, DeHeer and his partners formed IQ Med LLC and developed "The Equinus Brace(TM)."

DeHeer initially tried everything to alleviate the pain, including a commonly prescribed night splint. "You need to wear them all night and they're not super comfortable to sleep with. Patients are always complaining about waking up with them," commented DeHeer, a Westfield, Indiana resident. "I consistently woke up in the middle of the night while sleeping on my side with my knee bent. I realized the night splint wasn't doing anything, because to effectively stretch your calf muscle, you have to have the knee fully extended. That's where I came up with the idea for 'The Equinus Brace.'"

After DeHeer's experience with night splints, he began working to create a better brace. Nearly five years later, he created "The Equinus Brace(TM)" with Carmel, Indiana residents John Moorin (owner of another medical distribution business) and Ricky Heath (a long-time executive in medical devices).

The Equinus Brace(TM) helps Achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis and over 30 other foot and ankle disorders. The name is based on equines because horses often walk on their toes. Likewise, many humans lean too far forward when walking, causing multiple foot and ankle disorders.

"As humans, we have consistently tight calf muscles, which results in about seven million foot and ankle injuries a year. One billion dollars a year is spent surgically and non-surgically just to fix plantar fasciitis alone," said Moorin.

A doctor typically sends a foot or ankle patient to a physical therapist, who usually gives them a night splint or shows them several basic stretches. The likelihood is that the patient won't do the stretches properly or as often as needed. This lack of compliance is what leads to ineffective treatment, explained Moorin.

The Equinus Brace(TM) solves the problem of compliance by only having to be used one hour a day (unlike night splints). It's also a much better way to stretch the two calf muscles - the gastrocnemius and soleus - which is critical for proper treatment and long-term results for plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis and other disorders.

Medicare covers The Equinus Brace(TM), as do nearly all insurance companies. A shorter brace, The Equinus Brace(TM) 2.0, became available in June for children and smaller adults.

Indiana Virtual School Partners with EdisonLearning to Increase Quality Online Education Options

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. /ScoopCloud/ -- Indiana Virtual School announces that it will be partnering with international education services provider - EdisonLearning - to expand and enhance the delivery of online courses to students and school corporations across the State of Indiana.

The new partnership will continue to focus on offering online courses to those students who, because of changing life circumstances, find a virtual educational experience more aligned with their current needs.

In addition to the new EdisonLearning eCourses, Indiana Virtual will continue to deliver online courses developed and provided by PLATO and Florida Virtual. With this addition, Indiana Virtual will offer more online course offerings than any other virtual school in the State of Indiana.

Dr. Percy Clark, Superintendent of Indiana Virtual School, is very excited about how this will help all students in our state to participate in the learning process and earn a CORE 40 diploma. Given that Indiana has a number of school corporations, who often cope with budget constraints which limits their ability to provide the necessary classes for individual students, districts across the State may choose to utilize our courses as an option. Dr. Clark worked with Edison Schools, which preceded EdisonLearning.

Dr. Clark stated, "EdisonLearning, as an educational entity, has for more than a quarter of a century represented an international model of excellence. It is imperative that we continue to provide as many choices as possible for students to achieve academic excellence and success. This partnership represents a solid contribution to the academic arena."

Thom Jackson, President & CEO of EdisonLearning, stated, "We are honored to partner with Indiana Virtual School, and pleased to have the opportunity to help guide young people in Indiana on their educational journey to achieve and succeed."
