Athanasian Hall to Explore New Relationships Between Prime Numbers and String Theory

LONDON, U.K. /ScoopCloud/ -- The study of abstract physics is often seen as separate from pure mathematics. Subjects like Black Holes, Low-Temperature Gases, Gravitation, and Electromagnetism are considered in the domain of physics rather than mathematics. "This distinction is, however, being challenged daily by advances in combinatorics and number theory applied to String Propagation...and the invariants of the Gromov-Witten Theory," states Dr. Jonathan Kenigson of Athanasian Hall.

Dr. Kenigson states that, "The primary focus of my research this year, and that of some of my colleagues, is the tangle of bridges connecting primality, combinatorics, and paradigms of String propagation." His collaborators at the research institute Athanasian Hall, Cambridge work largely independently. They are "highly motivated and accomplished scholars, and can undertake whatever research efforts they wish. I never put restrictions on such inquiry."

"As an example of what I endeavor to consider this year, one may speculate about the following scenario: String interaction operators arising from Lagrangians often arise very organically in terms of Riemann Zeta Functions of the particle number in Fermionic systems and others. These operators are complicated functions of ratios of Gamma functions and Zeta analogues whose representations are complex. It would be nice to have a compact representation of the related coefficients in terms of known combinatorial entities."

Combinatorics is the study of counting, so what Dr. Kenigson is saying is that he and his colleagues want to count the strings in predictable ways.

"Recent advances in Russia and France have made explicit relationships between globally convergent series representations of classical Zeta functions and their Hurwitz analogues commensurable with statements about choice functions, Bell Numbers, Catalan Numbers, Stirling Numbers, and many other special series." The goal of the research is to explore these relationships in the paradigm of String Theory, especially "as related to Black Holes, Fuzzballs, the Thermodynamic properties of plasmas, and high-dimensional analogues of Fermionic and Bose-Einstein Gases."

Last year, "we explored the Chandrasekhar Limit for extremal stellar implosion as a function of degeneracy pressure using Gamma Functions in high Euclidean dimensions. A Gamma Paradigm was helpful for this work, which is still ongoing."

Gamma functions are generalizations of the factorial function. If you remember from school, for instance, 4! = 4*3*2*1 = 24.

Dr. Kenigson states that "such functions arise in permutation groups on finite words, in the theory of geometric permutations, and in symmetry structures like U(n) and SU(n) which encode deep information about systemic invariants".

On Holocaust Remembrance Day Let Us Honor Those Who Risked Their Lives to Save Others

His story finally came to light when the BBC televised a show surprising Winton by reuniting him with 100 adults-all of whom were among the children he had rescued 50 years earlier.

Emmy Award-winning director Matej Mináč of Slovakia included dramatic reenactments and never-before-seen archival footage, as well as emotional interviews with those rescued. Mináč has received multiple awards for "Nicky's Family," including Best Documentary from the Montreal World Film Festival.

A young Rwandan antigenocide activist and a renowned Holocaust historian teamed up to travel across 15 countries and three continents, interviewing survivors and descendants of 13 diplomats who helped rescue tens of thousands of Jewish people from Nazi death camps during World War II.

Award-winning filmmaker Michael W. King documented their travels and discussions, bringing to the world this story of heroism and delivering a testament to the ways in which human beings can rise above forces of evil, even in the face of dire consequences.

King has been making films for more than two decades, winning an Emmy for a PBS documentary on youth violence in 1999. He has served as a member of the board of the International Documentary Association and is an active member of the Directors Guild of America.

"The Rescuers" has won 30 film festival awards, including multiple Best Documentary and Best Historical Documentary awards. U.S. Sees Record Low Number of Lightning Deaths in 2021 – Lightning Safety Awareness Effort Reaches Milestone

CUMBERLAND, Maine /ScoopCloud/ -- According to the National Lightning Safety Council, the lightning death toll of 11 in 2021 set a new record for the fewest documented U.S. lightning deaths in a year. The previous low recorded by NOAA was 16 deaths in 2017.

"This new low of 11 lightning deaths is dramatically fewer than the 432 Americans killed by lightning in 1943," said John Jensenius, a lightning safety specialist with the National Lightning Safety Council (NLSC).

During 2021, leisure activities contributed to eight of the 11 lightning fatalities with work-related activities causing the remaining three. Five of the fatalities were on beaches with three on golf courses. Listings of lightning fatalities since 2006 can be found on the National Lightning Safety Council website (http://lightningsafetycouncil.org/LSC-LightningFatalities.html).

"With more than 194 million lightning events detected across the United States and 2.4 billion detected around the world in 2021, lightning safety should be a consideration during any outdoor activity," said Chris Vagasky, a lightning data specialist with the National Lightning Safety Council.

Jensenius attributes the recent drop in lightning fatalities to increased awareness efforts, including lightning safety campaigns, and the growing accessibility of weather information.

"When the Lightning Safety Awareness Campaign began in 2001, the U.S. averaged 47 lightning fatalities a year," Jensenius explained. "The average number of deaths for the past five years has now dropped to 17. It's very rewarding to know that the campaign has been so successful."

The record low in lightning deaths is an important milestone in the lightning safety awareness effort in light of a significant increase in U.S. and global lightning activity, as documented by Vaisala in its 2021 Annual Lightning Report. Amidst a constantly changing lightning landscape, the NLSC emphasizes the importance of continued vigilance against the capricious weather threat.

"Continued efforts to increase lightning safety awareness will help keep people safe in the United States and globally," said Vagasky.

The National Lightning Safety Council invites educators, government officials and others to help build lightning safe communities by learning more about lightning safety, lightning protection and risk reduction.

China Rescue Dogs, A Non-Profit Organization, Leads Fight to Save Dogs from Chinese Meat Trade in the face of CDC Import Ban

"Our choices were limited and grim, but China Rescue Dogs has remained committed to saving dogs from China regardless of how we got it done. While rerouting dogs to Canada is the logical choice, costs have been exuberant," she added.

The growing international cargo crisis has tripled the cost of transporting dogs on cargo airplanes, which has increased China Rescue Dogs' reliance on donations from the international community. Without community support, funding shortages require organizations to make difficult choices and leave some dogs behind.

"Our shelters in China are reaching their maximum capacity, which means we will not be able to move the dogs out of China which will lead to the brutal slaughter of helpless dogs. Moreover, with the Yulin Dog Meat Festival beginning June 21st and CDC ban still in place, tens of thousands of dogs will be slaughtered. Thinking about this is gut-wrenching," said Jill.

Canada is providing immense support to this mission by opening its borders and assisting us in finding homes for these dogs. They support the organization and other U.S. rescue groups until the CDC ban is lifted or another resolution is found. "After I looked into the eyes of our dogs in China shelters, that is when we decided to reach out to our Canadian friends. Fortunately for the dogs and us, our rescue has been received with welcoming kindness," said Jill.

The past two years have been challenging for everyone around the globe. The world has seen pandemic challenges no one could have predicted. U.S. International dog rescue nonprofits have experienced extreme obstacles in carrying out their missions within the past six months.

"What these past six months have personally taught is never to give up! Although we have had to deal with many obstacles, our dogs are being saved - thanks to our Canadian friends and neighbors. For that, we will always be grateful." Jill added. "I have strong faith in our mission, and I know we will continue to find ways to rescue these dogs. Homeless Share How Holliday’s Helping Hands Approach is Making a Difference

LOS ANGELES, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- In the ongoing battle against homelessness the news is typically bleak, but a longtime nurse turned businesswoman's approach to housing the homeless is sparking hope from some who say they've found more than just a cot and a meal under the roof of Holliday's Helping Hands, Inc.

Enter Katina Holliday, and her flagship organization Holliday's Helping Hands (HHH). An entrepreneur with leadership and organizational talents to rival many Fortune 500 CEOs, she partners with Los Angeles County and cities to provide interim housing services for what she calls her "clients." Proving its model, HHH has helped more than 100 families and individuals find permanent housing in the past 2 1/2 years.

For those who have been chronically homeless, the transition from the streets to interim housing requires major adjustments. The transition period is not just about three meals a day and a roof. It's about priming a paradigm shift from destructive assumptions and readying them to restore their sense of independence and dignity.

Holliday is at the frontlines when it comes to developing a holistic transitional framework for clients. She is adamant about creating an environment of stability, nurturing, respect and accountability. As a girl, she saw her grandmother never turn anyone away even when there was good reason. "She taught me it's not about us versus them, we are all the same community," says Holliday.

According to Angela Ada, who stayed at previous places before coming to the HHH site in Long Beach, "There is more staff, more activities, more like a community here. Her team here at Atlantic is good. As far as the operation, I like that there is a psychiatrist here and able to speak with us about problems we may be going through."

Every HHH client is paired with an HHH case manager who helps create an individualized care plan, or "roadmap," covering everything from creating a balanced budget, lifestyle skills, attire, interviewing, safety tips, and even how to be a good neighbor. "People appreciate clean yards and tidy curbs," says Holliday. "We want them to succeed when they find permanent housing. Part of that is learning how to be considerate of their neighbors," she adds.

An enormous difference is the feel of home when walking into the facility, from encouraging posters adorning the walls to the client bedrooms with colorful comforters and artwork with hopeful messages. The HHH staff fosters positive energy, knowing what's offered is unique to how the homeless are typically treated.

HHH client David Carrillo appreciates the elevated level of cleanliness at where he stays. "The sink is shiny, toilet shiny. You guys have quality staff. I feel you have a higher standard."

Carrillo, who has stayed at other facilities says the difference at HHH is "Credibility. When you guys say something, you make it happen. I feel more comfortable here, you guys are more professional," he says.

Holliday is the first to credit her staff for the uplifting changes taking place. Residents don't just get a roof over their heads; they receive non-judgmental support. "My team is a blessing; they continually inspire me with their compassion for the people we help."

When asked about the nurse who founded HHH, Carrillo met Holliday once and remembers the interaction well. "She made me feel like a human being. She doesn't act like she's better than anyone. She renewed my faith in human kindness."

Pantheory Research Organization announces paper on a new ‘Theory of Everything’

CERRITOS, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- A new "Theory of Everything" is being presented by the Pantheory Research Organization. This theory combines Quantum Mechanics (QM), the theory of the smallest particles, with General Relativity (GR), the theory of gravity and the world of the large, in a theoretical construct which they assert is without contradiction. This is their latest version of the theory that relates to problems in the forefront of modern physics as of the fall of 2021.

The most well-known attempt at such a theory was called String Theory, first developed in the late 1960's. It was a mathematical approach that proposed the existence of many dimensions beyond the three dimensions that we know of, plus time. The problem with this theory was that after more than three decades of theory development, no new predictions were ever acknowledged based upon the theory. Many now consider String Theory as "fringe physics," no longer a part of mainstream physics. One might note that there have been a great many Theory-of-Everything(s) proposed, but almost all of them have been solely mathematical approaches.

This Theory of Everything is based on a very unusual approach to such a theory in that the theory asserts and explains why major aspects of "modern physics," including quantum theory and General Relativity, contain conceptual and other errors. "Modern physics" relates to theories of physics that began development in the early 20th century, Quantum Mechanics and Einstein's theories of relativity being prime examples.

Although Quantum Mechanics is the best statistical and mathematical system available for making predictions in the quantum realm (smallest observable particles), there is no consensus version of it which logically explains quantum behavior -- simply that logic is the all-important missing ingredient of Quantum Mechanics, according to this Theory of Everything.

General Relativity (Einstein's theory of gravity) also has its own limitations according to this proposal. This theory proposes what it describes as a much simpler theory concerning the worlds of the big and small combined. According to this theory the Zero Point Fiend (ZPF) dominates both the quantum realm and overwhelms gravity at the largest scales of the universe via background field flow.

Some of the new and contrary assertions of this theory are:

* Light is a wave and only becomes a particle (photon) upon its interference or detection by instrumentation.

* A cosmological constant does not exist.

* The highly regarded Hubble distance formula is wrong, an alternative formula is presented.

* Dark Energy does not exist for reasons presented. Alternative equations are presented.

* Dark Matter does not exist as a major part of the universe, if at all. Alternative equations are presented.

* The "Inflation" hypothesis is wrong; asserting there was never was such an event.

* Einstein's gravity is only a minor factor in determining the structure and form of the observable universe. New equations are presented.

* The Big Bang theory is almost entirely wrong. Alternative theory is presented.

New equations presented:

A New galactic distance equation; A New brightness equation, new equations to determine spiral galaxy rotation profiles, as well as the same equations enabling better predictions of galaxy cluster rotation profiles.

Some of the predictions of this Theory are:

* The Zero Point Field will be realized as controlling both the worlds of the small and of the large via its short-lived virtual particles and its generally unknown field flow characteristics and forces.

* The speed of light is not constant everywhere in the universe.

* At the farthest distances we will find just as many old appearing galaxies as we can observe near us. This is because these galaxies really are old, and the universe far older than what is presently believed.

* The observable universe is expanding little if at all. The Hubble constant and the Hubble distance equation are simply wrong.

* Many small "hot spots" in the cosmic microwave background will be found by the newest telescopes, which are made up of the most distant observable fully-formed galaxies.

* Part of the Micro-wave background is moving. This is because the microwave background is accordingly unrelated to the Big Bang; it is simply the temperature of matter in space based upon galactic radiation, with the temperature distribution and temperature caramelization caused by the Zero Point Field.

BERKELEY, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- World leaders meet in Glasgow beginning October 31 for the United Nations COP26 Climate Change Conference, to address the conclusions of the latest Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report: that human activities have unequivocally warmed and damaged the planet. Share International attributes 80 percent of the warming to human actions, and says sharing resources to mitigate the inevitable consequences is key to solving climate change.

As early as 2007, an article by a Master of Wisdom, recorded by the late British author Benjamin Creme and published in Share International magazine, gave this 80 percent figure and stated that we have a pivotal choice to make: to reap the beneficial results of immediate action, or face the destruction that would ensue from doing nothing, or too little.

The article stated that the World Teacher for this age, Maitreya, who is gradually emerging into public view, "will advocate a simpler form of living, one more in keeping with the planet's situation. When enough people are convinced that this is necessary," it presaged, "there will be a growing movement to simplify throughout the planet." It further predicted that "faced with the dilemma of necessary change, men will come to realize the inevitability of accepting the principle of sharing. Only sharing will make these changes practical and possible."

Although the effects of climate change are coming faster than scientists anticipated, the IPCC report affirms there is still time to slow or even reverse some changes by reducing CO2 emissions to at least net zero. But to accomplish this globally, the wealthier countries must not only curb their own emissions but also share resources and technology with less developed nations, to ensure that all can make the necessary rapid transition to sustainable energy sources.

Three of the four goals of COP26 require potentially large financial investments: radical emissions reductions, strengthening adaptation to climate impacts, and mobilizing finances. The fourth is for countries to work together to accomplish these pressing but inescapable measures. The COP26 web site indicates, however, that developed countries have not even made good on their 2009 Copenhagen Accord pledge to mobilize by 2020 at least $100 billion in climate finance per year for developing nations. Another impediment noted by Jeffrey Sachs, president of the U.N. Sustainable Development Solutions Network, is that poor countries must borrow internationally at rates of 5 to 10 percent, and many have no access to capital markets at all, while rich countries benefit from near-zero interest rates.

Clearly, politicians have not yet responded to the climate crisis at levels commensurate with the danger, but COP26 offers a pivotal opportunity. To succeed at their stated goal of "uniting the world to tackle climate change," COP26 participants will need to go beyond inequitable loan financing and fast-track unconditional sharing of the financial and technological resources necessary to bring all countries on board. This is in line with Maitreya's rallying call to humanity: "Share and save the world."

Drivers can reach for a tissue without taking their eyes off the road. It has an adjustable strap and can easily be hung over the passenger seat headrest and to accommodate back seat passengers.

When Mathews first launched the product, she went through the usual new product development procedures of having a prototype made and identifying a manufacturer. After an order was placed and the product received, it was placed for sale on Amazon.

"And, while the item sold well and received great reviews, I decided it could be improved. The new and improved design has a tuck-lid opening for effortless tissue box insertion and material upgrade," she says.

After redesigning the product, a patent application was filed and a US Design Patent was granted.

The universal, neat uncluttered design fits the interior of any motor vehicle and protects the tissue box. In addition to making tissues accessible to drivers, unlike tissue holders that store tissues on the sun visor, or inside the console, the tissue valet makes tissues easily accessible to back seat passengers.

World of Illumination Unveils Two New Experiences in Georgia

Exiled Afghan Artist Paints Without Arms or Legs – Inspires Hero Award

When the Taliban took over Kabul on August 16, they evicted the Center's employees and shut it down. Now it is rebuilding itself online.

The Center's latest project is the Hero Award (heroaward.net) which recognizes significant achievements on behalf of the UN's 17 Agenda for Sustainability Goals. Previous winners hail from Kenya, Bangla Desh, Indonesia, Colombia, and Malaysia.

"Robaba's immense courage and persistence, shown by her overcoming a profound disability to build a career as an artist, as well as being a mentor for others, is something that can inspire achievers all over the world," says Chang, "and that is what the Hero Award is designed to do."

The Hero Award is conferred monthly upon those who demonstrate extraordinary achievement.
