NotaryCam’s Expanded Remote Notarization Functionality Receives Honorable Mention In Pandemic Response Category for Fast Company’s 2021 World Changing Ideas Awards

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- NotaryCam®, a Stewart-owned company and a pioneering provider of remote online notarization and identity verification/authentication technology for real estate and legal transactions, announced today that its remote ink notarization (RIN) functionality and remote online notarization (RON) expansion has been included in the 2021 Fast Company World Changing Ideas Awards. NotaryCam's products garnered an honorable mention in the Pandemic Response category, highlighting the importance of remote notarization in 2020.

The winners of Fast Company's 2021 World Changing Ideas Awards were announced today, honoring the businesses, policies, projects, and concepts that are actively engaged and deeply committed to pursuing innovation when it comes to solving health and climate crises, social injustice, or economic inequality.

When COVID-19 hit, the demand for NotaryCam's services increased almost overnight by 300%. The increase forced NotaryCam to think outside the box to meet the demand of people who had to bypass the challenge of social distancing. The NotaryCam team created a new workflow process to accommodate the new demand so that NotaryCam's client's needs could continue to be met amidst the pandemic.

In response to restrictions imposed on in-person gatherings due to COVID-19, legislators across the U.S. passed temporary measures authorizing RON to ensure notarial activities, including real estate closings, could continue unimpeded. While NotaryCam was fully equipped to handle the increased demand for RON transactions, the company was also tasked with the development of its Concierge Service to accommodate RIN, which many states chose to authorize in lieu of RON in their emergency orders, to ensure home buyers and real estate professionals in every state could utilize the NotaryCam platform to complete their closing ceremony in accordance with their individual state's permanent and/or temporary authorization.

Now in its fifth year, the World Changing Ideas Awards showcase 33 winners, more than 400 finalists, and more than 800 honorable mentions-with Health and Wellness, AI & Data among the most popular categories. A panel of eminent Fast Company editors and reporters selected winners and finalists from a pool of more than 4,000 entries across transportation, education, food, politics, technology, and more. Plus, several new categories were added, including Pandemic Response, Urban Design, and Architecture. The 2021 awards feature entries from across the globe, from Brazil to Denmark to Vietnam.

Showcasing some of the world's most inventive entrepreneurs and companies tackling exigent global challenges, Fast Company's Summer 2021 issue (on newsstands May 10) highlights, among others, a lifesaving bassinet; the world's largest carbon sink, thanks to carbon-eating concrete; 3D-printed schools; an at-home COVID-19 testing kit; a mobile voting app; and the world's cleanest milk.

"With the onset of COVID-19, RON technology and NotaryCam played a critical role not just in moving the housing market forward, but also keeping it from grinding to a complete halt," said Rick Triola, division president of NotaryCam. "I am proud to be able to share this honor with the entire NotaryCam team, which worked quickly and tirelessly to develop and release a RIN product to help accommodate a greater majority of remote closing ceremonies in a socially-distanced world."

"There is no question our society and planet are facing deeply troubling times. So, it's important to recognize organizations that are using their ingenuity, impact, design, scalability, and passion to solve these problems," says Stephanie Mehta, editor-in-chief of Fast Company. "Our journalists, under the leadership of senior editor Morgan Clendaniel, have discovered some of the most groundbreaking projects that have launched since the start of 2020."

China Rescue Dogs receives international recognition award for saving dogs despite their need for more funding and adopters

VASS, N.C. /ScoopCloud/ -- China Rescue Dogs, a 501(c)(3) organization committed to rescuing and saving dogs from the slaughterhouses, meat trade, abuse, and neglect in China, is the recipient of the "Shining World Compassion Award" by The Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association based out of Taiwan.

According to Supreme Master Ching Hai, leader of the organization, the award was given "for selflessly and passionately striving to save lives, for recognizing the Divine gift animals have for humans, and for your benevolence and wisdom, with high esteem we salute the great compassionate deeds of China Rescue Dogs. May Heaven always shield you and all involved as you find caring homes for the vulnerable, innocent canines."

"We are so blessed and honored to receive this award," admits a determined Jill Stewart President and Founder of China Rescue Dogs. "We hope and pray the recognition will help spotlight the dogs still in China that we are trying to rescue and rehome with their forever families."

Doing what they do is an enormous undertaking. Once the dogs are saved in China, they need shelter, food, and some need medical care. China Rescue Dogs sends thousands of dollars each month to care for these rescue pups while they wait to be transported to North America.

"Getting them here is a logistical nightmare," adds Sam Scaman, a board member for the organization. "One shipment of 20 to 30 dogs' costs upwards of fifty thousand dollars to transport."

The other pressing problem: the saved furry friends need forever families. "We have a long waiting list for Golden Retrievers," says Brandy Cherven, Director of Adoptions for China Rescue Dogs. "It's the other dogs; the often-overlooked mixed breeds that need homes. They are the innocent, the voiceless, and the forgotten. If given the chance, these dogs who were once broken, can become someone's soulmate." Those dogs are available on their website at http://www.ChinaRescueDogs.org.

"Saving dogs and finding them forever homes here in North America is expensive," adds Stewart. "We rely solely on the public for donations to rescue these beautiful babies."

China Rescue Dogs still has 250 additional dogs in China they are trying to feed, support and rescue. If you would like to help save them, you can go to http://www.chinarescuedogs.org/

Current Builders Celebrates Construction Safety Week with Focus on Holistic Health for Workers

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. /ScoopCloud/ -- Current Builders (www.currentbuilders.com) is proud to be part of the nationwide celebration of Construction Safety Week taking place May 3-7, 2021. This year's theme, Be Present, Be Focused, Be Safe targets the holistic health of workers in the industry. As one of the leading construction firms in Florida, Current Builders has a week of educational programming scheduled for its employees and will also be hosting students from the University of Miami chapter of the South Florida Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) for a tour of one of Current Builders' newest projects, Platform 3750 in Coconut Grove.

"This year's theme is an essential one," stated Current Builders' CEO and President, Michael C. Taylor. "After enduring all the stresses of 2020, it is critical that our industry focuses on the holistic health of our workers. At Current Builders, our safety training goes beyond the use of proper protective gear and explores total well-being, by discussing topics including mental health, depression, dependency, and tiredness. This focus on mental awareness, in addition to the physical protection protocols, will help our workers develop a deeper understanding of what it means to be truly safe."

Deborah Hampton Current Builders' Risk and Safety Director has created a series of daily toolbox talks addressing a variety of topics to open a dialogue among workers on how they can better take care of themselves and each other. In addition, Hampton offers fun competitions for workers that provide prizes to those who can spot the hazards on the daily safety boards. Also included in this year's Safety Week will be demonstrations by Milwaukee Tools and the student tour for UM AGC members to view real-world working conditions at Platform 3750, a mixed-use project in Coconut Grove on Friday, May 7.

"It is critical for all workers, both seasoned and novices, to fully understand the role mental awareness plays in keeping the team safe. Distractions can rob a worker of their focus, which can cause serious and even deadly accidents," said Hampton. "It is essential that workers look out for each other and learn to recognize the signs of someone who may be struggling. Safety Week is a reminder to all our workers that there are resources available to help them be present and focused."

Hampton has developed numerous safety protocols, both physical and mental for the team, and one of the favorite exercises of employees is the morning Stretch and Flex program. This activity wakes everyone one up and get them focused on the coming tasks.

"Nothing is more important than our team's safety," continued Taylor. "At Current Builders, we are very proud of the programs our company has implemented and how diligent our workers are with their follow-through. This national celebration is a wonderful opportunity for us to reinforce the lessons learned and recommit to keeping safety, both physical and mental, our number one priority."

Zootility Reimagines Beer Pong – A New Competitive Wall Game

PORTLAND, Maine /ScoopCloud/ -- Zootility, a design-driven U.S. manufacturing company, proudly announces the next great innovation in recreational games - a wall-hung beer pong game. Free Pong is quick to pick up and play and easily converts into minimal home decor when not being played.

The Free Pong design team recognized that traditional beer pong takes a lot of space to play, cups can get knocked over and spilled, and it's not a fit for most social gatherings. Free Pong is a vertical take on a classic drinking game that allows the game to be played quickly, cleanly, and in any home living space. It uses patent-pending Tension Grip Technology™ that locks brackets in place. The brackets or cups won't fall out even when struck by hard shots. The light design allows it to mount on any surface. When brackets are removed, Free Pong fits seamlessly into the living space as a piece of decorative wall art showcasing engraved mountain peak details.

Free Pong game play follows the same basic principles of beer pong. Alternating turns, the goal is to eliminate cups by landing shots in cups before your opponent. A two-board game of Free Pong can be played in teams, the first team to clear their board wins.

"Our company has always had an affinity for recreational games. During our Friday social hour, we started chatting about our own 'Zootility twist' on beer pong. We applied the idea to our laser cutting technology and Free Pong was born," says Nate Barr, Founder of Zootility.

Visit Zootility's Kickstarter page to pre-order your Free Pong, meet the creators, and learn more about the product that's bridging the gap between recreational games and interior decor: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/wall-pong/310474365?ref=3l29v9&token=fdb46462.

Chelsea Groton Bank Marks Year Defined by Pandemic As ‘Record’ In Every Way

GROTON, Conn. /ScoopCloud/ -- Chelsea Groton Bank reported impressive financial, educational, technical and community-based accomplishments at its 166th Annual Meeting which was conducted over Zoom on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. President and CEO Michael Rauh presented the Bank's 2020 results to Bank officers, Board members and Corporators.

"Our focus has always been on helping individuals, families and businesses succeed in big ways and small by putting more effort into everything we do. Our team was incredibly focused on the needs of our customers, and doing whatever it took to help them succeed in the most challenging circumstances," shared Rauh. "The result was a banner year from a financial perspective, but more importantly, a year where we were everything a community bank is meant to be - a team of local people working tirelessly to ensure the people, businesses and organizations in our community are better positioned to be successful."

Chelsea Groton Bank helped almost 600 businesses obtain nearly $74 million in SBA Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans, more than any other lender in the area. The Bank also developed a Small Business Relief Loan program for businesses in need of additional funding as they worked to recover from the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. Inclusive of the $74 million in PPP loans, the Bank's commercial loan portfolio grew to $259 million, as Chelsea Groton continued to provide credit lines, term loans, permanent commercial mortgages, and construction loans to businesses across Connecticut and Rhode Island.

The Bank proudly provided more residential financing than any bank, credit union or broker in Eastern CT in 2020.* In spite of the challenging financial year for many, the dream of homeownership came true for 155 first-time homebuyers. The Bank approved a total of 908 first mortgage loans, more than twice the number of first mortgage loans closed in the year prior. Dedicated to helping people provide housing for themselves and their families, Chelsea Groton originated $5 million in CHFA loans for 30 low-to-moderate income individuals, and worked one-on-one with furloughed homeowners who were unable to make their monthly payments to offer fee forgiveness and loan deferments.

The Chelsea Groton Foundation and Bank together donated a record $1 million to the community in 2020, in response to the increased need across organizations in many giving categories. The Foundation also gave over $22,000 to area organizations through the Acts of Kindness program, $100 to the non-profit of each team member's choice. While some volunteer opportunities shifted during the pandemic, Bank team members still volunteered 3,678 hours of their time.

The Chelsea University community education program pivoted to offer programming entirely online in mid-March. Over the course of the year, customers and community members attended 166 classes on everything from credit and home-buying, to social security and Medicare, as well as classes for the aspiring and current business owner. Lifestyle programming, including a Chelsea Cooks! series, virtual yoga, and crafting events were also offered online. For community members unable to attend online classes, additional resources are always available on the Bank's E-learning Center, and recorded classes are on the Chelsea Groton YouTube page.

As of December 31, 2020, the Bank's total assets increased to $1.4 billion. Net operating income was virtually unchanged, dropping slightly, from $13,233,721 to $13,095,912 in 2020. There was a $16 million increase in capital from 2019.

"All of the Bank's success in 2020 was made possible by two big things - a dedicated team that showed an unwavering commitment to the Bank's customers and community members during this time of great need, and advanced technology that was built with a focus on bringing people and digital together," expressed Rauh.

Prior to the pandemic, the Bank deployed a system that enabled the entire staff to work entirely remotely if there was ever the need. Chelsea Groton proudly introduced Chelsea|LIVE Video Banking ATMs and a Video Banking App, giving customers the opportunity to talk live with the local banking team during extended hours when at many of the Bank's ATMs or from the convenience of the customer's phone, tablet or computer. Mobile Wallet was also rolled out, allowing customers to connect their Chelsea Groton Debit Card to Apple Pay(r), Google Pay(tm) or Samsung Pay.** The Bank continues to offer interpreter services over the phone and in person. Each of these services has helped customers manage their finances more effectively, especially as people were looking to conduct their banking safely in a more remote world.

Forbes included Chelsea Groton Bank on the "America's Best-In-State Banks" list. The Bank was once again voted "Best Bank" by the readers of The Day (2015-2020), a "Top Workplace" in the Hartford Courant based on an employee survey (2016-2020), and the "Best Place to Work" by the Eastern CT Chamber of Commerce. BauerFinancial, an independent bank rating service, awarded Chelsea Groton their "5 Star" designation for financial stability and exemplary excellence for the 107th consecutive quarter, maintaining Chelsea Groton as a "Best of Bauer" bank.

"Over the last few years, the Bank has focused on taking a consultative approach to working with every person who comes through the door," said Rauh. "We were thrilled this year to be able to offer new technologies, or more frequently utilize the ones we had, in order to provide customers with options to bank when, where and how they felt was safest or most convenient for them. Chelsea Groton will never lose sight of the importance of human interaction to truly serve our customers' needs. We're excited that many of our new technologies bring the personal and digital experience together, in order to do just that."

The City of Pompano Beach Parks and Recreation Department Announces All-Inclusive Playground

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. /ScoopCloud/ -- The City of Pompano Beach Parks and Recreation Department has enhanced the Sergeant Kip Jacoby Park with a new all-inclusive playground that features equipment that will encourage side-by-side play for all children. The new pieces by the Kompan Company improve physical, cognitive, creative and social skills for all children, while offering a welcoming atmosphere for children with special needs.

"We recognized the need for an all-abilities park in Pompano Beach and felt that Sergeant Kip Jacoby Park would be an ideal choice," said Mark Beaudreau, Recreations Program Administrator. "This new playground, with its state-of-the-art equipment, will improve the quality of life for families throughout our City and the region and will encourage inclusion and foster new friendships."

During the past few months, the playground has been redesigned to include a custom-built play structure with ramps, special swings and an array of accessible equipment that encourage fun, interaction and learning.

Responsive to children's movements, the TIPI apparatus spins when pushed or pulled. Apart from being a fun negotiation and turn-taking game, the pushing and pulling build muscles and cardio. In the TIPI, children can lie, sit or stand with the support of the side bars or the top frame. This welcomes children with mobility disabilities to be part of the play, too. The spinning movement trains the sense of space and balance. The Robinia Percussion Music Panel is an invitation to play for children featuring a variation in drumming sounds and tonal responses to movements. The drums can be played alone or together. The Xylophone Music Panel trains hand-eye coordination while the tonality of the music panel stimulates logical as well as creative thinking. And the Spinner Bowl allows children to adjust the spinning speed with their body movements. This trains logical thinking and trains the sense of balance, which is mandatory for concentration skills and the ability to sit still. Pushing or being pushed by others trains social-emotional skills such as turn-taking.

"Thank you, City of Pompano Beach! There are so few inclusive playgrounds for children with disabilities," said Myrna Miott, Director of Development and Marketing for the Broward Children's Center. "We are thrilled that our city has taken this proactive and innovative step so that children of all abilities can play together. We look forward to the many friendships and connections that will be made in our community as a result of everyone being able to safely let loose together in this space."

Sergeant Kip Jacoby is named after a longtime Pompano Beach resident who lost his life on June 28, 2005 in Afghanistan during Operation Red Wings. To honor his sacrifice, the City renamed the park, where he loved to skateboard, in his honor. The park is located at 620 S. Cypress Road in Pompano Beach.

The City of Pompano Beach is a vibrant multicultural community located in the heart of Florida's Gold Coast. We are known for our warm welcome and beautiful beaches, listed 9th in the 2021 "Best Beaches in the World" by Travel Addicts Life Magazine. This All-America City is one of the largest beachfront cities in South Florida with a four mile stretch of pristine shoreline, over 700 acres of parks, and a commitment to arts & culture. CopySafe Video 7.0 Released for Professional Video Publishers

GYMPIE, Australia /ScoopCloud/ -- ArtistScope, a leading developer of copy protection for more than 20 years, has released a new version of CopySafe Video Protection. This new version is especially designed for professional video publishers and includes desirable features that enable them to distribute the highest quality video with the most effective protection from all avenues of piracy and exploit. In essence, it protects their livelihood.

Enhancements include a new video encryption algorithm that increases the file size after encryption by no more than a few KB, even on extremely large files. No compression is used to achieve that, so there is absolutely no loss of quality. When compared to the original, nothing is changed. With this new encryption algorithm, decryption by the client is almost immediate and consumes no computer resources, enabling authors to distribute video files of one GB and more.

Another unique feature of CopySafe Video Protection is that it can be viewed from different sources - desktops and online from web pages. In fact, there's no other solution that can effectively display copy-protected video on web pages. Typically, viewing encrypted video online requires that the file complete downloading before it can be decrypted for viewing. CopySafe Video Protection has special buffering so huge video files can start playing online almost immediately.

While CopySafe Video is impossible to screen record when played on a desktop and online, optional watermarking is included to prevent the recording of screens using video recording cameras. When DRM is applied, the user's name, account number and date can be displayed on the video, providing a powerful deterrent for copy and redistribution. When displayed from a website, the watermark will show the same user details as if logged on, otherwise their IP address and date will be displayed.

Publishers can distribute CopySafe Video with embedded protection via shared passwords, or they can distribute with DRM that locks each user's access to the video to their computer. This makes it impossible to share the video, even when sharing passwords.

"CopySafe DRM is most unique in that it can provide DRM for both online and offline viewing," says ArtistScope founder and CEO, William Kent. "For offline, the user can collect DRM tokens after logging into their DRM account. Online DRM is a live, call-to-home validation request that gives publishers 'total control' over all aspects, with immediate effect on any changes made, even to video files already saved to the user's computer or still out in the wild on disk."

Publishers can also manage DRM from an online control panel that's provided with every CopySafe Video Encoder software license. Such DRM accounts are unlimited in the number of videos, subscribers and groups that can be managed and DRM accounts are free forever. Free support and upgrades are also included for life with the one-time purchase of US$295.

The CopySafe Video Encoder will encrypt single video files or in batches by folder selection, catering to all types of video file formats including ASF, AVI, MKV, MP4 and WMV.

CopySafe Video Protection requires a Windows computer; however, the encoder and player are supported on all versions of Windows including XP.

The bottom line: CopySafe solutions provides the most secure and robust media copy protection.

IDS Honored as Bronze Stevie® Award Winner In 2021 American Business Awards®

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah /ScoopCloud/ -- Mortgage document preparation vendor International Document Services, Inc. (IDS), announced today it was named the winner of a Bronze Stevie® Award in the Customer Service Department of the Year category in The 19th Annual American Business Awards®.

Customization and knowledgeable client service are two of the hallmarks of working with IDS. For the team members of the customer service department, embodying those commitments means going above and beyond to resolve client questions, issues and concerns as quickly as possible, even if it means stretching themselves outside the bounds of the typical customer service agent.

This dedication has directly contributed to IDS' consistently high customer satisfaction rates. In 2020 IDS maintained a 99% satisfaction rate, which is much higher than Global Benchmark at 94% and Software Industry Benchmark at 96%. IDS had an average of 12.0 hours average first reply time, better than the industry average of 14.8 hours. Remarkably, this was all accomplished during the pandemic, which caused a shift to remote operations amidst a refinance boom, both of which also contributed to a significant increase in the number of tickets IDS received.

"IDS has always focused on meeting our customer's needs and 2020 was no different," said IDS Vice President and General Manager Mark Mackey. "Our customer service department ensured IDS continued to provide fast and effective service in the middle of a global pandemic, all while adapting to new levels of customer expectations with extreme flexibility and dedication."

The American Business Awards are the U.S.A.'s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations - public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.

"The American economy continues to show its resilience, and as we're poised on the beginning of what should be a phenomenal period of growth, we celebrate the remarkable achievements of a wide range of organizations and people over the past 18 months," said Stevie Awards president Maggie Gallagher. "This year's Stevie-winning nominations in The American Business Awards are testament to the ingenuity, the commitment, the passion, the adaptability, and the creativity of the American people. We look forward to celebrating this year's winners during our virtual ceremony on June 30."

Rural Iowa Manufacturing Jobs Surplus Means Big Opportunities

OSCEOLA, Iowa /ScoopCloud/ -- It's been a year since the manufacturing industry was hit by the COVID-19 crisis forcing businesses to get creative to manage their workforce assets. In April of 2020, the rural Clarke County, Iowa's unemployment rate jumped from 3.4% to 11.8%, and more than 100,000 workers across the state were displaced, laid off, or simply let go when businesses had to close their doors, says Clarke County Development Corporation (CCDC).

Now COVID restrictions have begun to lift and the economy is picking up again, especially for manufacturers in Osceola, Iowa. Unfortunately, many businesses are still struggling in their search for the right candidates to fill key positions.

"We've got 4,700 non-farm jobs and our major manufacturers continue to grow and add staff," said Bill Trickey, Executive Director of the Clarke County Development Corporation. "Now is a great time to find a job in Clarke County."

Major Clarke County employers have a variety of positions available and are casting a wide net to entice the right candidates to the region. Full of lucrative job opportunities, Osceola boasts easy access from Des Moines, Indianola, Norwalk, St. Mary's, Martensdale and many other South-Central Iowa and Northern Missouri cities via I-35 and highways 34 and 92.

"We're certainly in a position where we have more jobs than people to fill them, so we're recruiting from across the state to find the right fit," said Susan Miller, Human Resources Recruiter for the Altec body plant. "While our pay is more than competitive with most Des Moines metro employers, and our benefits package is outstanding, we've found that it's our unique company culture that really makes working here desirable."

In an effort to fill essential manufacturing positions, companies are finding new incentives to draw in applicants, encourage referrals from current employees, and reward retention among the staff. For example, The Paul Mueller Company, manufacturers of stainless steel, food-grade refrigeration and transportation tanks, offers an incremental referral bonus as well as new employee sign-on bonuses awarded at ninety days, six months, and one year.

Altec body plant helps employees attain Bachelor or Masters degrees in the industry by funding online courses through The University of Alabama and offers wellness benefits to employees and their spouses for completing fun and easy challenges. And Iowa Steel gives their regional sales team the opportunity to work from home or remotely as they travel the country to meet with customers, offering an excellent base salary as well as commission.

"We're in the process of growing, locally and nationwide. On top of filling regional sales positions around the country, we're also adding to our Osceola facility in the fall of 2021 and hiring more skilled labor," said Kate Patton, Human Resources Director at Iowa Steel. "Clarke County is full of employers offering diverse opportunities with competitive pay and an excellent work-life balance. We're just looking for the right applicants."

While unemployment rates are relatively low, there is still a lot of work available in rural Iowa, especially in Clarke County. Employers are finding that top pay and benefits aren't the only tools needed to draw in a workforce.

"Money isn't the most important thing people are looking for these days. People are looking at our culture, and finding a place they enjoy coming to every day, and positioning their family to do more than just make ends meet," said Lauren Robins, Human Resources Generalist II for Paul Mueller Company. "On-site training, and a safe and healthy work environment are all important to prospective employees. Most of all they want to know that they're valued and able to be productive and growing for years to come."

Clarke County's manufacturing industry has advantages not found in bigger cities across the state. Factors like job security, educational incentives, and unique, diverse opportunities for advancement are all part of what draws in a workforce that drives the success of the entire community.

For more information about the availability of jobs mentioned in this press release, feel free to reach to the Human Resources department at each company:

- Paul Mueller Company, Lauren Robins, Human Resources Generalist II, 641-342-5521, email: lrobins@paulmueller.com.

Move For Hunger and Buckingham Foundation Announce Partnership to Fight Food Insecurity

RED BANK, N.J. /ScoopCloud/ -- Buckingham Foundation, the philanthropic partner of Buckingham Companies, an Indianapolis-based full-service real estate firm, and Move For Hunger, a national hunger relief non-profit organization, announced today a new partnership that will provide much-needed assistance to food banks across the country. Buckingham Foundation's support will help grow Move For Hunger's food rescue and hunger relief programs in Indiana, Georgia, Ohio, and Tennessee.

To date, Move For Hunger has collected and delivered more than 22 million pounds of food -- providing over 18 million meals -- to food banks and pantries across the United States and Canada. Buckingham Foundation will encourage residents who are moving out at select properties to gather their non-perishable food items and leave those items behind to be donated to local food pantries and food banks. Through this new partnership, Move For Hunger can provide 15,000 more meals to those in need.

"We're very excited to be making Buckingham Companies and their Foundation a part of Move For Hunger," said Adam Lowy, Executive Director and Founder of Move For Hunger. "They've been a strong advocate for years in the fight against hunger and the joining of our two companies will only help amplify all of our work."

"Buckingham Foundation's mission is to create positive change in the areas we serve," said Theresa Rhodes, Executive Director of Buckingham Foundation. "Our partnership with Move for Hunger will help us tackle food waste and hunger in our communities, which directly supports our mission to give back in a tangible way. Buckingham Foundation is proud to involve our residents and employees in this meaningful initiative."

Food insecurity increased in 2020 with the effects of the pandemic leaving millions out of work. 42 million people, including 1 in 6 children, are struggling to know where their next meals will come from. All the while, 35% of the food in the United States ends up in landfills. Move For Hunger helps rescue unused, non-perishable food and with its network of 1,000+ movers, transports it to local food banks across the country.

The new partnership with Buckingham Foundation will enable Move For Hunger to continue to help the families, individuals, and children who are most in need of food assistance.

Two Yiftee Communities Win Award at the Main Street Now Conference

MENLO PARK, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- On April 12, 2021, the Main Street Now Conference awarded six U.S. communities with the Main Street Forward Award, Yiftee, Inc. announced today. The award celebrates "forward-thinking Main Street recovery and resilience efforts at this unique and challenging moment" (*note 1). The winners were selected by a national jury of economic development experts. Royal Oak's Downtown Development Authority (DDA) was selected for its two-pronged approach to supporting and stimulating the local economy during the pandemic. Main Street Lincoln Park (LNPK) was chosen for its work to ensure its community had access to food, funding, and essential PPE resources during the COVID-19 crisis.

Royal Oak Downtown Development Authority (DDA) and Yiftee

The Royal Oak Downtown area was heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, and the DDA worked diligently to address the local business crisis. In addition to offering small business assistance grants to downtown businesses, the DDA also boosted economic growth through the Royal Oak Downtown Dollars egift cards, powered by Yiftee. The DDA subsidized consumer spending by sending a free $20 e-gift card to the first 20,000 Royal Oak residents and consumers that signed up for its e-newsletter. The cards are redeemable at more than 65 locations in downtown Royal Oak and can only be used locally.

Downtown Dollars generated more business for local shops, restaurants, and retailers, with some seeing sales increases of 20% year-over-year in July (*note 2). Royal Oak has reported that people from throughout southeastern Michigan began visiting the downtown to redeem their gift cards. "The digital gift card program was part of the most impactful project we have ever implemented. It encouraged customers to spend more money downtown and infused a huge amount of money into local retailers," said Sean Kammer, downtown manager for Royal Oak (*note 3).

The Downtown Dollars program was so successful that it continued into the holiday season, with Royal Oak offering a BOGO match for anyone who purchased the online gift cards. Consumers can still purchase Downtown Dollars gift cards by visiting https://visitroyaloak.com/.

Main Street Lincoln Park - Ecolibrium3: Duluth, Minnesota

Main Street Lincoln Park (LNPK) is a wonderful example of a community coming together to get through one of its toughest times. Main Street LNPK collaborated with a local craft brewery to create a free farmer's market to address food insecurity amongst local residents. They also partnered with a local restaurant to provide Spring Break groceries for students in need. Additionally, Main Street LNPK offered small business technical assistance, reopening grants, and other funding opportunities. Main Street LNPK's pandemic response also included "Pay it Forward PPE," a partnership with Duluth outdoor goods manufacturer Frost River, to produce thousands of face masks and face shields with the help of many volunteers working long hours.

Main Street LNPK thanked their volunteers for their hard work with a neighborhood gift card, powered by Yiftee. As the Pay it Forward PPE project gained media and community attention, Main Street LNPK leveraged the exposure to aid local businesses by accelerating the development and launch of the Main Street LNPK gift card (*note 4). "Our neighborhood gift card provided immediate cash infusion into our business community," said Shannon Laing, Main Street LPNK Director, ECOLIBRIUM3 (*note 5). Since the program was introduced, Main Street LNPK has generated nearly $25,000 in gift card purchases-all of which goes to support local businesses (*note 6).

Zootility Introduces Vaccinated Tags – Simplifying Compliance with New CDC Guidelines

PORTLAND, Maine /ScoopCloud/ -- Zootility, a design-driven US manufacturing company, announced the launch of wearable Vaccinated Tags, in response to the U.S. officials easing face mask guidance for COVID-19 vaccinated people.

The bar shaped pendants have a bold, easily readable "Vaccinated" message that allows others to be aware of the individual's vaccination status. The subtle size and minimalist style make it versatile and easy to wear, yet instantly recognizable. The pendants are made from 3mm sheets of stainless steel or solid brass, materials that are easy to care for and are durable.

This distinctive jewelry is laser cut in small batches and demonstrates the attention to detail and uniqueness of the product. Being a made-in-USA product, it supports jobs locally, assures quality, and ensures confidence in timely fulfillment.

"The most recent CDC guidelines lifted the outdoor mask-wearing mandate, both in recognition of the lower risk and to provide an incentive to get shots. With vaccinated people not needing to wear masks outdoors when knowing the vaccination status of others, social interactions in public or with friends, neighbors, coworkers, or classmates may create a lot of questions regarding vaccination status. With global vaccination efforts continuing to be strong, but with many still hesitant, we thought this jewelry would help start, or even avoid, potentially awkward conversations," says Nate Barr, Founder of Zootility.

Visit Zootility's website at http://vaccinatedtag.com/ to order a vaccinated tag or pendant for yourself or gift it to a loved one.

Zootility designs, launches, and manufactures exciting functional everyday products that solve interesting problems, using clever solutions, quality materials, and futuristic technology. For more information on Zootility, please visit http://www.zootility.com/.
