Evans Waterless Coolant Demonstrates a Clear Advantage in the Indian FTR750 Scout Flat Track Motorcycles

SUFFIELD, Conn. /ScoopCloud/ -- Evans Cooling Systems, manufacturer of the only waterless engine coolant, today announced that every Indian Scout FTR750 produced since 2017 has been factory filled with its patented waterless coolant, because of its proven ability to perform under extreme conditions without boil-over or overheating issues. With a boiling point of 375 degrees Fahrenheit, over 150 degrees higher than traditional water-based antifreeze, Evans gives racers greater capacity to handle the high temperatures of performance racing without fear of hot spots, high pressure, or losing coolant.

The 2017 and 2018 AMA Grand National Champion Jared Mees and 2019 Champion Briar Bauman both use Evans in their Indians to stay ahead of the competition. In the brutal Las Vegas heat, Travis Pastrana used Evans in his Indian Scouts for his record setting jumps broadcasted live on the History Channel.

"Evans waterless coolant gives us a huge racing advantage, as it performs well past the failure point of water-based coolants," said Dean Young, Indian Motorcycle Flat Track Race Team Manager. "We never worry about overheating and won't use anything else."

Off the track, the FTR750s in museums and collections are protected from corrosion, electrolysis, and even freeze-burst damage. "In addition to powersports equipment, Evans waterless coolants are used by car collectors and museums around the world to protect vehicles from the effects of water," added Mike Tourville, Sales and Marketing Director at Evans.

Associated Colleges of Illinois Initiates Career Mentoring Program for College Seniors

CHICAGO, Ill. /ScoopCloud/ -- This fall, Associated Colleges of Illinois (ACI) (https://acifund.org) is expanding its College-to-Career (https://bit.ly/2ZnBbUx) offerings to include a Career Mentoring Program which matches college seniors with business mentors who will help guide the students as they launch careers. The new mentoring program will be available through career services offices at ACI's 27 member colleges and universities (https://acifund.org/member-college-directory/).

ACI's Career Mentoring Program is funded in part through a National Venture Fund grant from the Council of Independent Colleges (https://www.cic.edu), Washington, D.C.

ACI's Career Mentoring Program is a partnership with Mentoring Complete (https://www.mentoringcomplete.com/), a St. Louis-based firm with considerable experience in successful business and corporate mentoring programs. Among its clients are Enterprise Holdings, New York Power Authority, OhioHealth and Reach International.

"We're designing the Career Mentoring Program to help get college seniors engaged at a high level with mentors in their chosen career fields, and to help them begin successful careers and be productive citizens," said Mick Weltman, ACI executive director. Career mentoring complements other components of ACI's College-to-Career programs, he said.

The programs include Work and Life Skills Boot Camps, and ACI's Career Development Conference and Career Expo, which help students prepare for careers; micro-internships through Parker Dewey, which help students get valuable work experience while in college; and ACI's job-postings page (https://acifund.org/jobs-and-internships/), which announces positions available for alumni of ACI-affiliated schools.

Students and their career mentors can have honest conversations about the areas of development most important to the student, says Aaron Adams, partner and mentoring expert with Mentoring Complete. "The design of the program creates consistent interactions, so the mentor and mentee have opportunities to assess how things are progressing, and make adjustments along the way," he said. "Mentees (students) develop a better understanding of how to translate what they've learned in the classroom into the workplace." In some cases, mentors can help mentees find future career opportunities.

Career Mentoring Program dates for the fall term are Sept. 15, 2020 to Dec. 15, 2020. Spring program dates are Jan. 15, 2021 to April 30, 2021. ACI will work with career services teams at member colleges and universities to publicize the new program and recruit mentees, who will be placed with potential mentors as available.

Meanwhile, ACI will reach out to corporate sponsors and strategic partners to recruit experienced mentors. People interested in becoming mentors should apply though the career mentoring website (https://www.get.mentoringcomplete.com/aci-business-mentor). Mentors will be paired with mentees for one semester based on availability.

Colorado Optometrists Announce 8 Ways to Protect Your Eyes This Summer

DENVER, Colo. /ScoopCloud/ -- A lot has changed for the summer of 2020, but the Colorado Optometric Association and 2020 Eyes Colorado wants everyone to know that summer eye health is still important. Colorado's sunlight is roughly 20% brighter than at sea level and is even more intense at the top of a mountain as there is less atmosphere at higher elevations to filter out UV rays.

"Coloradans are getting outdoors much more this summer due to the pandemic closures. It's important that when we are enjoying the outdoors that we don't underestimate the intensity of the Colorado sun because it can negatively impact your vision," says Sheryl Benjamin, Executive Director at the Colorado Optometric Association.

Colorado's optometrists give eight ways to protect your eyes this summer:

1. Wear UVA/UVB Blocking Sunglasses
Your eyes can get sunburned. It's true and it's all too common in the bright Colorado sun. Grab a pair of 100% UVA/UVB blocking sunglasses and wear them when outside to protect your eyes from sunburn. Some Coloradans pair sunglasses with a hat for even more UV protection. Make sure the brim is at least 3 inches wide for good coverage. Start kids off right by protecting their eyes early on with a hat and sunglasses. Bonus, tiny sunglasses are cute!

2. Wear Swim Goggles
Chlorine is rough on the eyes so be sure to protect them with swim goggles. Typically, chlorine exposure in a pool will dry out your eyes and make them temporarily red. However, conjunctivitis/pink eye is a common infection for swimmers as it spreads easily in the water. Make sure those goggles are sealed well!

3. Wear a Hat
A hat is a great addition to sunglasses for increased eye protection. Wearing a hat will shade additional parts of the eyeball and skin around the eyes. It's also a great runner up if you forget sunglasses as you're headed out on the trail.

4. Clean Hands Make Healthy Eyes
Yes, washing hands and avoiding face touching is important for eye health and overall health. Hand washing is even more essential during the pandemic, but it was also significant before COVID-19 to prevent the transmission of disease and illness that can enter through touching your eyes and face. Plus, washing your hands reduces your risk of contracting conjunctivitis/pink eye any time of year!

5. Eye Protection for DIY Projects/Activities and Sports
Be sure to wear safety glasses for DIY projects and high-risk activities like sports or lighting fireworks. These high-risk moments can quickly go awry with an unexpected eye injury. Make sure each individual on the project has protective glasses.

6. Drink Plenty of Water
Dehydration is very common in the dry Colorado summers, but is easy to avoid. Dehydration can impact the body's ability to create tears and then can cause vision issues. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water consistently throughout the day. Be sure to bring plenty of water for those outdoor activities!

7. Get Sleep!
Humans do better with a good night's sleep and eyes are no different. When and individual doesn't get enough sleep it impacts visual acuity. When this happens, the individual may need to catch up on sleep or may need to rest their eyes for a while.

8. Get an Annual Comprehensive Eye Exam
Keep eyes healthy with a comprehensive eye exam performed by an optometrist. An annual eye exam gives a better look at overall physical health. It will also allow for early detection of eye related diseases and non-eye related health issues. The Center for Disease Control states that, "Of the estimated 61 million US adults at high risk for vision loss, only half visited an eye doctor in the past 12 months. Regular eye care can have a life-changing impact on preserving the vision of millions of people." Find a trusted Colorado optometrist today!

About the Colorado Optometric Association (COA):
The Colorado Optometric Association (COA) is the professional organization of optometrists in Colorado. Over 600 Colorado Doctors of Optometry are voluntary members of the Association. COA has also launched a public health campaign called 2020 Eyes Colorado - https://2020eyescolorado.org/.

Since 1892, the COA has assisted its members in providing the highest standard of professional care to their patients by sponsoring continuing education programs for doctors, advocating in local and state governments for programs and laws that represent patients' best interests, and providing information for the public. Encounter Telehealth Among 340 Organizations That Sent Letter to Congress Urging Action on Telehealth

OMAHA, Neb. /ScoopCloud/ -- Encounter Telehealth joined 340 organizations in signing a letter urging Congressional leaders to make telehealth flexibilities catalyzed by the COVID-19 pandemic permanent. This multi-stakeholder letter is represented by leaders in a wide range of healthcare industries from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.

At the start of the pandemic Congress quickly waived barriers, such as geographic and site restrictions, to allow for the expansion of telehealth. This enabled federal agencies to allow providers to deliver care virtually to their patients, and made telehealth available to all Medicare recipients. This revolutionized healthcare for residents of rural communities, skilled nursing facilities, and many more.

If Congress does not act before the COVID-19 public health emergency ends, the current flexibilities and allowances will disappear-leaving millions without access to telehealth. Therefore, 340 stakeholders have drafted and sent a letter to Congress explaining the urgent and necessary steps that need to be taken to ensure the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has the authority to make these telehealth allowances permanent.

These urgent actions include:
* Remove obsolete restrictions on the location of the patient to ensure that all patients can access care at home, and other appropriate locations
* Maintain and enhance HHS authority to determine appropriate providers and services for telehealth
* Ensure Federally Qualified Health Centers and Rural Health Clinics can furnish telehealth services after the public health emergency
* Make permanent Health and Human Services (HHS) temporary waiver authority for future emergencies.

It is imperative that CMS have the authority to expand access to telehealth based on data gathered from experience gained through the pandemic. Telehealth fulfilled a vital role allowing patients to be screened, evaluated, and to continue services and management throughout the pandemic. Patients deserve broad access to healthcare regardless of geographical restrictions or national emergencies.

Encounter Telehealth, LLC has joined 340 organizations such as the American Psychological Association, American Telemedicine Association, and the American Nurses Association in signing this letter. Oscilla Power Inc. Plans to Demonstrate Utility-Scale Ocean Wave Energy in India

SEATTLE, Wash. /ScoopCloud/ -- Oscilla Power Inc. would like to announce that they are now in the planning stages of a demonstration of their 1MW 'Triton' ocean wave energy system in Southern India. The particular location targeted for this utility-scale project is adjacent to Vizhinjam International Seaport, near Thiruvanathapuram, in the state of Kerala.

This region has been identified as having one of the highest wave energy intensities in India. As a whole, the annual average incident wave energy intensity in India is about 60 GW, and about 5-10 GW of this may be practically utilizable.

The project will involve a number of key local and national agencies in India. Kerala's Agency for New and Renewable Energy (ANERT) will lead implementation of the project, while Dr. Jayakumar, the CEO of Vizhinjam International Seaport Ltd. (VISL) will act as the Principle Investigator. Mr. Rajesh Jha, Chief Executive Officer of Adani Vizhinjam Port Private limited (AVPPL) has also expressed support for the project. Senior researchers from the Department of Ocean Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras (Chennai) will also participate in the proposed project.

In 2019 India's Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) formally declared wave energy a renewable resource eligible for renewable purchase obligations (RPOs). Oscilla Power is seeking MNRE support for this Research, Development and Demonstration (RD&D) project.

"A rapidly growing energy market, attractive local manufacturing costs, an energetic west coast, and a central government that is championing a transition to renewable energy options make India a very attractive location for early wave energy projects," said Balky Nair, President of Oscilla Power.

Oscilla Power's Triton Wave energy Converter provides many unique elements that allow it to extract energy from the ocean at a much lower cost than has been achieved by others. Oscilla is currently finishing construction of a smaller 100kW version of this system which is expected to be installed in Hawaii next year.

The Spiegel Center’s New Mural and Launch of Curbside Botox Provides Their Patients the Same Safe and Beautiful Results

NEWTON, Mass. /ScoopCloud/ -- The Spiegel Center plastic surgery office has created an outdoor waiting room as patients are asked to stay longer in their cars prior to doctor visits due to new COVID-19 regulations. An innovative plastic surgeon commissioned a talented local artist, Alicia Silvestri to create an original 100-square-foot mural to be painted in the parking lot for their patients.

With the mural in place, The Spiegel Center has taken this world-class, luxurious experience one step further with the start of curbside Botox injections, offering their patients the same safe and beautiful results while practicing social distancing

Dr. Jeffrey Spiegel explains, "We wanted our patients to continue to receive the luxury experience of the office while following the guidelines for social distancing. So, we decided to bring that beauty to the outdoors. We interviewed several artists who could bring our vision to life. We hope the mural will provide another beautiful backdrop that comes to represent being at The Spiegel Center."

Patients have often taken pictures of themselves in the purple examination chairs located at The Spiegel Center. Many people post these pictures on their social media to show they have made it to the practice, often from afar. Now, the experience of beauty and art begins before you leave your car.

The artist described her design process explaining, "The flowers add a 3-D effect that creates a perfect frame for picture taking. Each flower represents change and growth, including delphiniums, snapdragons, lilacs, daisies, and scarlet pimpernel".

The mural consists of The Spiegel Center's logo surrounded by a variety of beautiful natural elements and vibrant flowers. They felt it was crucial to include their logo as it represents many of the values of The Spiegel Center such as: their care for men and women, their help for those transitioning, and the people that look to The Spiegel Center as a global destination for aesthetics and surgery. Along with their logo, the mural includes birds, flowers, signs of spring, rebirth, and blooming, to represent the becoming your true self.

The Spiegel Center located on Boylston Street (Rt. 9) in Newton is comprised of an impressive team, including Dr. Jeffrey Spiegel who has been selected as one of the top five facial plastic surgeons on the East Coast and chosen as one of the 15 most influential plastic surgeons in the world. He is recognized by his peers as an expert in the most complex revision surgeries and has received almost every major award available to Facial Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Onir Spiegel is acknowledged as one of the country's Most Loved Injectors and specializes in facial aesthetics.

‘In America – A New Musical’ Launches Salvo Against Trump’s Culture War

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. /ScoopCloud/ -- In response to President Trump's increase in rhetoric against education, immigration, Black Lives Matter, Tik Tok(TM) and his defense of the Confederate flag and its monuments, Professor Hal Harper of Oakland, California, retired professor of English as a Second Language (ESL), has launched his own salvo in the culture war as he releases "In America - A New Musical" to the public.

More than 20 years in the making, this modern immigrant tale (which introduces 25 characters and 18 brand-new musical numbers) tells the story of young Mr. Johnson, a recent teaching graduate from New York City who has just landed his first job at a small community college in San Francisco, California where he is assigned as a Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) to immigrant students recently arrived In America.

The rookie teacher soon finds himself in a quandary however as he finds his new school facing budget cuts, a growing anti-immigrant sentiment spearheaded by the local "Thug Boys" and the affections of a beautiful Chinese student, Mei Li, unbeknownst to him.

"They always say, 'Write about what you know,' so I did," explains Professor Harper. "As the years passed, I realized that the show I'd written before 9-11 is actually more relevant today than it was when I first wrote it. To modernize this musical time capsule, I added songs and story lines, with references to budget cuts in education, immigration, racism, Russia, China, Vietnam, Dreamers, Thug Boys, 'Tax the Rich,' and Ti(c)k To(c)k, 'the greatest student prank ever,' so that by now, In America has something for everyone and should be great fun for the whole family. And given the increased in shrillness of Donald Trump's rhetoric as of late, there seems to be no better time to launch this effort than now."

Viewers are invited to visit the show's website at https://inamericaproductions.com/ and hear the show's complete selection of musical numbers, read its lyrics, sheet music and script excerpts, visit the merchandise page or make a donation to a future production of "In America" on the stage or screen.

Mr. Harper hopes that his work can one day become the first publicly sponsored musical to go all the way to Broadway.

Mobility Device Inventor Interviewed on Podcast, Radio and TV

TOWSON, Md. /ScoopCloud/ -- The inventor of the Ruby Slipper Car Seat Cover, Katherine Miles, was interviewed recently on the Happy Healthy Caregiver podcast, where she shared her experience as a caregiver and how that led to the creation of the Ruby Slipper.

The 35-minute interview was hosted by Elizabeth Miller of Healthy Happy Caregiver, who works to help family caregivers integrate caregiving with life. They discussed how caring for her mother, Ruby, resulted in the invention of the Ruby Slipper. "It was a rough journey," said Miles. "I learned that you have to step back and take time for yourself."

Witnessing her mother's struggles to get in and out of a car, Miles saw firsthand the need to help people stay as active as possible to retain mobility. Miles and her mother searched for a product that would help, but couldn't find anything that worked well enough, so she sewed two pieces of slippery nylon together, creating the prototype of the Ruby Slipper. The simple creation gave her mother, who "thought it was really something," more freedom and mobility. Ruby passed in 2008, and it was only upon the urging of a friend that Miles decided to try to manufacture and sell the Ruby Slipper.

"I thought maybe I had something that could help people," said Miles. "If you're making something because you can't find it, I guarantee there are other people out there looking for the same solution."

In addition to the Happy Healthy Caregiver podcast, Miles has been interviewed on television and recently appeared on WOCA 96.3 FM radio's AM Ocala Live show. In a 20-minute segment on inventions, she explained, "My goal is to help people get back out and live the life they should be living."

Miles is available for both print and broadcast interviews. She is a thoughtful, clear, relatable and positive speaker who enjoys sharing her story and letting more people know how the Ruby Slipper Car Seat Cover can improve lives.

Time-Sensitive Treatments for Spotted Lanternfly Need to Be Scheduled Now Before the Adults Emerge

HUNTINGDON VALLEY, Pa. /ScoopCloud/ -- Adult Spotted Lanternfly will be emerging a few short weeks, and it's expected to be a record-breaking year for the invasive insect, says Giroud Tree and Lawn. Not only do Spotted Lanternfly pose a risk to the health of trees and plants, they also cause some really gross problems for homeowners.

As the bugs feed on trees, they drip sour-smelling, sticky excrement called "honeydew." It coats everything underneath where the insects are feeding. The tacky honeydew is difficult to remove from hardscapes, decks, cars, and other valuable objects on the property.

What's even worse is that the tantalizing honeydew, along with the black, sooty mold that grows from it, attracts stinging wasps. Wasps will swarm a property, and that's especially a problem if there are children playing in the yard.

Treatments Need to be Carefully Timed

Spotted Lanternfly has only been in the US since 2014, but the insect has multiplied rapidly. To determine the best way to control this new invasive pest, researchers at Penn State and the PA Department of Agriculture recommend a control program that targets the pest during the Adult stage. This stage occurs between July and November.

The Adult stage is when Spotted Lanternfly is most vulnerable to treatment. Adults tend to stay in one place and attack favorite host trees, as opposed to the younger nymphs that quickly hop from plant to plant. As a result, there is much more success in killing the adults when trees are treated at carefully timed intervals.

The first treatment of the 2-part control plan recommended by Penn State should be done between July and September. This is a basal trunk spray that kills the pest on contact. It's also absorbed up through the tree's vascular system and kills the bugs as they feed on the tree. The treatment lasts for up to 60 days.

By September through November, the Adults can be found everywhere on the host trees. 1-2 additional sprays are needed on the trunk, limbs and foliage. This spray kills the insect on contact and the residual kills any Spotted Lanternfly that walk over or feed on the tree for up to 30 days.

Like many Tree companies battling Spotted Lanternfly, Giroud Tree and Lawn is seeing a very high interest in the control program this year.

"We're confident that these treatments will do the job," says Rodney Stahl, Jr, Giroud's Plant Healthcare Manager. "The problem is that our schedule is filling up. July is already booked and August is beginning to fill up. Soon, we'll have more requests for treatments than we can handle. Homeowners, who want to have their trees treated, need to get on a program now before it's too late."

Steps Homeowners Should Take Now
1. Check for nymphs now on trees, plants, flowers, and any surface in the yard. If these early stage insects are seen, that's a clear warning sign that the property is at risk once they turn into adults.
2. Use sticky bands wrapped in chicken wire to capture any nymphs walking up the tree trunk.
3. Call an ISA Certified Arborist to evaluate the property for treating valuable trees and plants when the Spotted Lanternfly Adults emerge.

Sibi Health launches in Philadelphia, bringing convenience and transparency to healthcare payment by democratizing access

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. /ScoopCloud/ -- Sibi Health (www.SibiHealth.com), an online marketplace for healthcare services, is now available for individuals and businesses in the Philadelphia area. Sibi Health finally brings convenience and transparency to healthcare payment by democratizing access to local providers offering upfront transparent prices for both virtual and in-person care. By aligning the incentives of patients and providers, Sibi helps both take back control of their healthcare experience.

Geared toward self-employed professionals, gig-economy workers, and small businesses with limited health insurance, Sibi's platform allows individuals to find local quality doctors, see upfront transparent prices, book and pay all in one place with a few clicks -- no insurance needed. 67% of Americans are somewhat or very worried about receiving an unexpected bill after an appointment, compared to the 41% worried about paying their rent or mortgage. (1) With Sibi Health, finding and paying for healthcare is simple and stress-free so patients and their providers can focus their energy on great care.

Sibi's growing network includes board-certified healthcare providers across specialties, from primary care, dentistry and gynecology to dermatology and mental health. With Sibi, healthcare providers set their own rates and know they'll get paid directly and immediately, which gives them the freedom to offer patients better value for the care they provide while supporting their practice financially and themselves emotionally, since less time and money must be spent on administration. "The result is a win-win for patients and their providers. We connect them directly without the usual healthcare hassle so both sides end up on top. We help patients and providers work together and make the healthcare payment system more efficient in the process," says Sibi Health CEO, Catherine Bryt.

Anyone, regardless of insurance status, can use Sibi Health. While Sibi is a clear win for the uninsured and businesses who otherwise wouldn't offer health benefits, it's also a godsend for people with high deductible health plans and HSA accounts who, despite having insurance, still pay out-of-pocket for their medical care. This isn't a small group of people, it's 100M Americans (2,3,4).

"If you're unlikely to meet your deductible, Sibi Health can save you up to 90% for the same quality service because providers value upfront payment. We're taking what would otherwise be a back-room negotiation and making the results accessible to everyone," said Bryt. And for those sick of navigating insurance jargon and in- vs. out-of-network hoops, Sibi Health makes it simple.

In today's healthcare maze, Sibi Health is a refreshing approach toward creating affordable, straightforward healthcare that works for both the patient and the doctor. Bryt and her team have continued to grow Sibi Health during the COVID-19 pandemic. "What we're experiencing has only made more clear that there's a need for Sibi Health."

ViewTech Borescopes Finishes 2020 2nd Quarter with New Clients and Announcement of Smallest VJ-3 Video Borescope

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. /ScoopCloud/ -- Business continued for North America's top seller of video borescopes to close out the 2nd quarter of 2020. Despite COVID-19 shutdowns impacting many industries, ViewTech's borescopes improve the quality and productivity of technicians during a vast array of application inspections, many of which have been deemed essential during the coronavirus pandemic. In addition to increasing their client base, ViewTech Borescopes also launched their newest and smallest diameter video borescope with the VJ-3 2.2mm. As inspection areas decrease in size, ViewTech Borescopes insertion tube diameters are following suit.

The owner of a New York-based equipment fabrication and installation corporation appreciated the convenience of ViewTech Borescopes no-cost, no-obligation demo program. When searching for a borescope to complete orbital weld inspections during a pharmaceutical validation, they required an inspection scope that could view inside long piping that involved multiple elbows. The VJ-3 Dual Camera 6.0mm x 8.0-meter was recommended by ViewTech's borescope experts.

With front and side-view cameras, along with image and video capture-capability, their team of engineers and clients are now able to see initial results promptly. By test driving a VJ-3 onsite with ViewTech's in-hands demo program, it was realized the minimal investment their new scope required would quickly pay for itself.

During the 2020 HAI HELI Expo ViewTech Senior Sales Consultant, Zack Wessels, met a Western US Helicopter Program Manager that operates a diverse fleet. With the ability to scan an entire area, their VJ-3 3.9mm x 2.0-meter video borescope has been inspecting engines, gear boxes and rotor heads on their helicopters. The VJ-3 video borescope now allows their helicopter mechanics to diagnose mechanical issues or determine the quality of a part without having to go through time-consuming engine disassembly.

To end the 2nd quarter of 2020 ViewTech Borescopes added the VJ-3 2.2-millimeter to their lineup of inspection scopes. ViewTech's General Manager, Sean O'Connor, stated "the VJ-3 2.2mm is utilized during many different types of inspection processes, including metal castings, small-scale components, circuitry and more, ensuring that every part is up to spec." Available with an ultra-thin 2.2-millimeter insertion tube and length of 1.0-meter, the VJ-3 2.2mm video borescope features two-way, joystick-controlled articulation and a rugged, liquid-proof design. Nondestructive testing professionals can save time and money with the intuitive and portable VJ-3 2.2mm video borescope.

VJ-3 Video Borescope

The VJ-3 mechanical articulating video borescope is a nondestructive testing instrument used for the remote visual inspection of machinery, equipment, and components. The VJ-3 facilitates the visual recording and photo documentation of an inspection and components in areas that are otherwise inaccessible or require great effort and expense to access directly. The VJ-3 consists of two modules integrated into one system: an insertion tube with distally mounted camera/LEDs, and the base unit with control panel, LCD monitor, power source and all necessary circuitry.

About ViewTech Borescopes

ViewTech Borescopes, founded as RF System Lab in 2008, is North America's #1 seller of video borescopes. Their first product, the VJ borescope, set a new standard for portability, ergonomics and ease-of-use, with its industry-first mechanical, joystick-controlled articulation.

But the crisis has thrust to the forefront some companies, like Turner Sanitation, whose role in our communities have been enhanced by the needs we'll have in Michigan's new normal.

"Sanitation is going to be a very big thing coming out of this. I think this state is going to be asking not only how are we going to stay clean but will allow us to come up with new protocols," said Turner Sanitation owner and entrepreneur Darin Gross, who purchased the family-owned company in January. "What we offer now is EPA environmentally-and solutions on a very high level."

Two of the demands coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic has already meant Turner Sanitation is trying to fast track new hand washing stations, because the entirety of Turner's inventory has been rented by Amazon in Shelby Township.

Another of Turner's offerings, septic services, are already seeing a large increase in home visits after months of families being home together during the state's stay-at-home order. The company has made numerous emergency service visits to fix potentially limit-pushing home septic tanks, which were not built for the amount of use they've seen.

The company's best-known offering, portable restrooms, is also expected to see increased demand because of Turner Sanitation's dedication to their cleanliness.

"I heard a lot of companies don't clean enough. That's certainly not our issue," said Gross. "I can definitely see, however, an increase in how many times per week we will be replenishing hand washing liquid and cleaning the facilities, probably two or three times more than we have in the past." As for reluctance by some to use portable facilities post-COVID-19, Gross says when it comes to locations Turner places its restrooms, people don't really have a choice such at places like outdoor events, festivals and recreational parks.

"We're a company with a great reputation and have employees who have been here for more than 20 years," said Gross. "I'm very proud to have the quality of people here at Turner and am confident we will continue to provide the high-quality services needed by our community."

The previously scheduled dates to visit these homes have been cancelled, and all advance ticket purchases will be refunded. "The health and safety of the membership and of our community was paramount in us taking the tour virtual this year," said Joe Fowler, HBA Greater Austin Board President. "We feel confident that the virtual presentation we have put together will be just as exciting."

Beginning July 17, all five Parade homes will be available to tour virtually for free, complete with interviews with the builders, tips from the designers and the ability to source some of the most exciting new trends in home designs.

"Imagine getting a personal and highly detailed tour of these luxe homes from the team that planned, built and decorated them," said Harry Adams, Managing Partner McCombs Properties, developer of The Reserve at Lake Travis. "The films will be a fun and friendly curated tour guided by experts who will point out all the cool features, new home tech and fabulous finishes," he added.

At the end of the tours, the public will be able to cast their ballot for their favorite home.

Austin area Realtors will also still have a special opportunity to preview the homes with a sneak peek on July 16. "Many of our HBA members are Realtors and we are pleased to offer a special preview of the virtual tours to them and their clients in advance of the public release," remarked HBA CEO Taylor Jackson.

The Parade of Homes video tours will feature custom homes from Arbogast Homes, Dalainey Performance Homes, Legacy DCS Homes, Sterling Custom Homes as well as the developer's showcase home, The Cypress Club Treehouse.

For those interested in purchasing or building a custom home, private, one-on-one tours with the builders will be available by appointment from July 17-26, 2020.

New Book: ‘You’re An Author? Don’t get Hustled’

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. /ScoopCloud/ -- Published Author Wayne McFarland has just released, "You're An Author? Don't Get Hustled - How to launch your book without getting hurt, hammered, or fleeced; a step by step guide" (ISBN: 978-1645505686; paperback).

In the short time since its release, "You're An Author? Don't Get Hustled" seems to be causing quite a stir.

The book opens with: "So you're a new author? Well, gird yourself-soon to descend upon you are legions of flim-flam artists, bogus publishers, ad purveyors, and social media "experts." Their stated goal is to help you sell lots of books and make tons of money - quickly. Their real goal is to deflate as many bank accounts as possible - yours among them, sad to say."

The book goes on to guide authors in such things as "How much promotion should you expect to be doing yourself? Should you get a publisher? Self-Publish? How about an Agent? Or Promoting with Social Media? Should you do Pay Per Click advertising? How do you get book and reader reviews? Should you pay for reviews? It's all covered, in detail and step by step so hopefully (Authors) will know what to do - and what not to do - to keep (their) foot out of the New Author Beartrap."

Pre-release reviews have been laudatory with unanimity that a book such as this, containing specific guidance for authors on how to launch a book into the marketplace, is long overdue: "Splendid!... ...every page is a winning ticket!" "Mr. McFarland has produced an extremely useful manual for indie authors seeking advice on how to publish..." "... sooner or later every writer who wants a shot at publishing is going to need (this book)" "...this a gem for new authors... it's a superb... informative piece" "...(New Authors') pocketbooks are safer (from swindling) with this book...(this book) keeps the author that wants to publish safe."

"A lot of folks who make a living ripping off authors have expressed some real unhappiness about this book," stated McFarland, writer of "You're An Author? Don't Get Hustled." "But I really don't care. I just don't want any other author to go through what I did the first time around."

"You're An Author, Don't Get Hustled" is now available through Amazon.

Bluffton Resident Gets Something to Smile About

CHARLESTON, S.C. /ScoopCloud/ -- Thanks to Charleston Oral and Facial Surgery, one Bluffton resident has something new to smile about. To some, wisdom teeth are a non-factor; to others, they're a nuisance. But to 26-year old Alex Anderson, they were the source of severe pain and necessitated removal.

After having been involved in a bad accident as a child, Anderson has struggled off and on with health issues, including impacted and infected wisdom teeth. Due to his traumatic injury and resulting pain, he was terrified of visiting the dentist until his problems became too big to ignore. It was learning of Anderson's unique story and condition from family dentist Dr. Justin Vanderpool of Hampton Lake Dental Care that prompted Charleston Oral and Facial Surgery to offer assistance - free of charge.

"With Alex's case, we saw a young man who had dealt with serious health issues and needed a hand up," said Aaron Sarathy, DMD, the physician in charge of Anderson's surgery. "It meant a great deal to be able to help someone struggling become pain free and to simultaneously eliminate the associated financial burden."

Wisdom teeth extraction is just one of the many specialties of Charleston Oral and Facial Surgery, which has six Lowcountry-area locations including Bluffton. Earlier this year, the practice did another pro bono surgery - this time for a young Charleston mom - who required the full-arch dental implant procedure.

"Bluffton and the greater area have embraced us so wholeheartedly," said COAFS' Dr. Graham Lee. "So it's important to us to do pro bono work in order to give back to the community that's given so much to us."

Recently, the practice was nominated for two awards: Charleston's Choice and Best of Bluffton for the Best Oral Surgeon category. To learn more about Charleston Oral and Facial Surgery, visit http://www.coafs.com/.

American Artist Mateo Blanco Creates a Portrayal of the American Flag Made from His Clothing

ORLANDO, Fla. /ScoopCloud/ -- As our country faces a pandemic and signs of a nation divided, the need for hope and happiness is greater than ever before. Renowned artist and proud American Mateo Blanco has seen these signs and is making a stand for unity through his art.

Blanco created "July 4, 2020," a portrayal of the American flag made from his clothing. Each of the iconic colors making up the flag not only has meaning to this country, but to Blanco personally. The white fabric was made from a shirt he often wore while studying at Florida Atlantic University as he worked hard to not only gain knowledge but wisdom. The red stripes are created from his lucky interview shirt, something he typically wore while spreading his art and message with others. The blue swatch was from the favorite blue workout shirt he wore when trying to get healthy.

All fabrics and colors used in the piece represent Blanco putting his best foot forward, which is exactly what he's encouraging all other Americans to do.

"As a principle, everything I do is through love and happiness," said Blanco. "But right now, everywhere I look in my beloved country, I see pain - we are separated. In order to overcome our struggles, we must individually put our best selves forward and unite as a nation."

This isn't the first time Blanco has used fabric in his art. He's also created "Coat of Many Colors," a portrait of Dolly Parton; and "Joseph, Coat of Many Colors," a tribute to Jewish history. In fact, Blanco is known for his whimsical use of unusual mediums like Smarties(r), coffee beans and rope.

"Typically, my work is light-hearted and fun. I create my art to spread joy," Blanco said. "However, for 'July 4, 2020,' I knew I needed to use my platform to share a bigger message. We must come together as a united country."

Although "July 4, 2020" was created this year, its inspiration goes all the way back to the 1950s. After admiring Jasper John's Flag painting, Blanco thought that while this was a beautiful representation of America in the past, it wasn't reflective of the society we're currently living in. He immediately got to work to create a modern representation of this famous piece, giving it his own unique twist.

"July 4, 2020," along with other works by Mateo Blanco, including "Hopi Girl," made from rope; "Ellen," a portrait of Ellen DeGeneres made from coffee beans; and "Desire," a series of Madonna portraits which change when viewed from different angles, can be purchased through the Rosenbaum Contemporary gallery in Boca Raton, Florida.

About Rosenbaum Contemporary:

Rosenbaum Contemporary, founded in 1979, is based in Boca Raton, Florida. The gallery caters to international collectors interested in investment-quality works by Postwar, Modern and Contemporary masters and presents nationally recognized museum-level exhibitions throughout the year. SimpleNexus launches ConnectUs Chat to facilitate real-time loan file collaboration between loan teams, borrowers and real estate agents

LEHI, Utah /ScoopCloud/ -- SimpleNexus (https://simplenexus.com/), developer of the leading digital mortgage platform for loan officers, borrowers and real estate agents, today announced the release of SimpleNexus ConnectUs Chat, a messaging feature that enables real-time loan file collaboration between loan originators (LOs), borrowers and real estate agents within the SimpleNexus platform.

SimpleNexus ConnectUs Chat centralizes loan file communication, making it easy for LOs and borrowers to reference past conversations and collaboratively advance loan progress in real time using the SimpleNexus mobile app or desktop experience. This direct communication channel lets borrowers receive support in the same place they sign forms and submit documentation for their loan. Vital borrower conversations are automatically logged in the SimpleNexus app, eliminating the need for LOs to consolidate communications from various personal and business communication channels.

SimpleNexus plans to enhance ConnectUs Chat with the introduction of two additional features later this year. The Team Members feature will connect extended loan teams to ConnectUs Chat, improving borrower access to support and facilitating internal loan team communication. Another update will allow parties to communicate "in context" by integrating loan file screenshots into the chat window.

"ConnectUs Chat boosts lender productivity by bringing loan tasks and borrower communication together in one place without detracting from the high-touch, 'from anywhere' loan experience consumers expect," said SimpleNexus Senior Product Manager Tyler Prows. "Our customers' enthusiastic response to ConnectUs Chat is a testament to the SimpleNexus product team's focus on developing innovative features that meet the needs of the market."

ConnectUs Chat marks the most recent in a series of SimpleNexus product releases that enhance lenders' ability to collaborate with stakeholders in the loan production process from anywhere. Notably, SimpleNexus Disclosures, introduced last year, allows borrowers to eSign disclosures and lenders to distribute individual closing packages to settlement partners for online retrieval. The May 2020 release of SimpleNexus Closing Portal enables mortgage closing teams to conduct hybrid closings that minimize the need for physical closing appointments.

About SimpleNexus, LLC:

SimpleNexus is the digital mortgage platform that enables lenders to originate and process loans from anywhere. The company's best-in-class, easy-to-use app connects loan officers to their borrowers and real estate agents to easily communicate and exchange data in a single location throughout the entire loan life cycle. Loan officers can manage their loan pipelines, order credit, run pricing, send pre-approvals and sign disclosures - all on the go.

Patent Bots LLC Releases New Legal Rankings for Tracking Patent Quality

SOMERVILLE, Mass. /ScoopCloud/ -- Patent Bots today announced its Patent Law Firm Quality Scores, a new ranking of 802 U.S. patent law firms with at least 50 issued patents for the year ending March 31, 2020. Patent Bots downloaded 310,842 publicly available patents from the United States Patent and Trademark Office and then used the company's AI-powered, automated patent proofreading tool to count the number of errors in each issued patent. Issued patents identify the law firm responsible for the patent and also the company that owns the patent.

The Patent Law Firm Quality Scores provide public recognition for patent firms doing exceptionally high-quality work in avoiding legal errors in issued patents. The Quality Scores show the names of only the top fifty firms (e.g., those with the lowest number of errors per issued patent). Patent law firms outside of the top 50 can login to the Patent Bots website to see their own quality scores and where they stand with respect to other patent law firms.

"Automated patent proofreading helps decrease the number of errors in issued patents," says Jeff O'Neill, Patent Bots Founder and CEO. "Patent law firms are recognizing the importance of doing quality work and are subscribing to our proofreading tool to move up in our rankings."

Benefits of the Quality Scores rankings include:
* A novel, highly relevant, objective measure of the quality of work performed by patent law firms.

Stalking Horse Bid Set as Green Mountain College Campus Goes to Auction

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. /ScoopCloud/ -- Maltz Auctions, a premier full-service auction company serving the Continental United States and Caribbean, announced it has a well-qualified, interested party who placed a $3m stalking horse bid for the idyllic 155-acre Green Mountain College Campus, anchoring Main Street, in the Historic downtown of Poultney, Vermont, which was previously listed at $23m.

"This quintessential New England campus had been the home of Green Mountain College, a private 4-year liberal arts school focused on environmental, social, and economic sustainability, which unfortunately closed at the end of 2019," stated Keith Lowey of Verdolino & Lowey, the Chief Restructuring Officer for Green Mountain College. "It's truly a turn-key opportunity for the right buyer as it is comprised of classic New England dormitory buildings, classrooms, administrative offices, lecture halls, cafeteria, student center, community space, library building, athletic facilities- including fields, gymnasium, pool, and more, a 400-seat theater/auditorium, fine arts studios and galleries, a working farm, guest residences and a campus-wide wood-fueled biomass (carbon neutral) heating system." Lowey then added, "In 2016 the property was appraised at $20m. There are also favorable financing options available for qualified buyers with $3.2m being the next bid increment accepted."

Maltz Auction's CEO, Richard Maltz shared, "We are pleased there was great interest in this property as it represents an exceptionally rare opportunity to acquire an environmentally sustainable, green campus that is superbly located and beautifully maintained in a single transaction. The party who placed the $3m stalking horse bid understands that there is incredible reuse or redevelopment potential- and great value."

The Green Mountain Campus is in southern Vermont's beautiful lakes region, with the Adirondack Mountains to the west and the Green Mountains to the east. The 155-acre campus situated on the New York-Vermont border features classic red-brick and slate roof buildings, athletic fields, a working farm, hiking and bike trails, and much more.

The property sits at the intersection of College Street and Main Street in the heart of Poultney, a vibrant and quaint New England village of 3,400 residents, which has been recognized, along with 22 others in Vermont, as a historic downtown. Poultney is home to an extensive bike trail network as well as to Lake St. Catherine and Lake St. Catherine State Park, a 117-acre destination park, campground and nature center. Lake Bomoseen State Park is less than a 15-minute ride north of Poultney. Both the Killington and Okemo ski areas are less than an hour away.

The town of Poultney is located 'in the middle of everywhere', bordered by Ira & Middletown Springs to the east, Fair Haven and Castleton to the north, Hampton (NY) to the west, and Wells to the south. Poultney is approximately 80 miles southwest of Vermont's capital city (Montpelier), 70 miles south of Vermont's largest city (Burlington) and 65 miles west of the Vermont/New Hampshire border in White River Junction. Poultney is also proximate to Saratoga Springs (50 miles southwest of Poultney) and Albany (70 miles southwest of Poultney) in New York state.

In addition, great shopping, year-round recreational activities, skiing destinations (including Vermont's premier ski resort, Killington Mountain) and college towns including Burlington (VT), Bennington (VT), Middlebury (VT) and Queensbury (NY) are located nearby.

The closest city to Poultney is Rutland, Vermont, which is the largest town in Vermont after Burlington and South Burlington. The city of Rutland is located approximately 20 miles northeast of Poultney, or a 25-30-minute drive via Route 30 & Route 4. Rutland offers the Rutland Regional Medical Center as well as an eclectic mix of shopping, restaurants, bars, cafés as well as cultural and entertainment venues and attractions. The state of Vermont, known as the Green Mountain state, ranks as the healthiest and best-educated state in the country.

Estes-Hightower PLLC launched PleadWrite.com to rival leading online document generation companies by offering free probate litigation services to Texas customers

HOUSTON, Texas /ScoopCloud/ -- Estes-Hightower PLLC, a Houston law firm, offers free probate litigation with the purchase of a last will and testament through PleadWrite.com. The online system is unique compared to competitors like LegalZoom or Rocket Lawyer by offering free probate litigation. This system's four easy steps to obtain legal documents are less complicated than those of competitors. There is no need for monthly subscriptions, there are no surprise upward charges and attorneys are always available for scheduled phone appointments.

About the free probate litigation, attorney and owner Teri Estes-Hightower says, "PleadWrite.com offers free probate litigation as part of the law firm's three special offers."

Texas probate litigation can cost $2,000 or more. Teri believes offering a will without free probate litigation defeats the purpose of encouraging wills: "Whether you have insurance policies or not, you should always have a will. But the cost of probating a will should not be a burden on grieving loved ones."

Estes-Hightower PLLC also offers one additional free legal document from any document category and 20% off each subsequent purchase with a referral or share on its Facebook page displaying the hashtag #YourWillYourLegacy. These three specials automatically come with the initial purchase of a will.

A video tutorial on how to purchase wills is located at https://pleadwrite.com/.

PleadWrite.com includes an array of litigation documents for law firms, companies and do-it-yourself lawsuit filers even those filing contested lawsuits. And the system can handle the same number of customers if not more than its competitors.

Estes-Hightower PLLC was established originally as the Law Office of Teri Estes in 2000 and has been drafting legal documents for 20 years. Legal services through PleadWrite.com are currently available for Texas customers only but hopes to expand.

Datasembly’s Real-Time Data is Helping Retailers Respond and Plan Ahead

WASHINGTON, D.C. /ScoopCloud/ -- Datasembly is providing real-time insight into product pricing and availability data for retailers across America. The COVID-19 pandemic has created a landscape requiring retailers to focus on challenges posed by increased competition, omnichannel execution and contactless data acquisition. The solution to all three challenges, without ever stepping foot into a store, is Datasembly.

Datasembly's proprietary technology collects data on billions of products a week and then leverages it to create customized, shareable insights that clients use to make real-life decisions. This technology is helping its customers eliminate the need for manual or averaged data to identify customer issues or local market opportunities.

They have helped their retail customers to:
* Understand real-time, store-level pricing and promotions
* Improve their pricing strategies using a full history of competitive pricing data
* Improve pricing of key value items such as eggs, milk, and butter
* Improve margins
* Improve strategy and execution of seasonal items and new product launches

"The Datasembly difference is in the real-time method of collection of the data and the customized, actionable data provided," says Ben Reich, CEO of Datasembly. "Our clients have the benefit of seeing what's happening in their stores and their competitors,' without moving from their desks, and that's invaluable," he added.

In the aftermath of COVID-19 it will become more of a necessity for retailers to respond quicker to what's actually happening in their stores and their local market - that allows them to remain competitive and will help to provide customers with a positive experience in-store and online. Datasembly helps them do that.

Datasembly ( https://www.datasembly.com/ ) empowers brands and retailers to make data-driven decisions about prices and promotions in real time. Datasembly collects hyper-local, real-time data from tens of thousands of retail, grocery and QSR locations across North America. Datasembly's intuitive web app leverages this data to solve real-world problems and deliver immediate visibility and insights that save time, money and improve efficiencies.

PULLING BACK THE MASK: Masks Do Not Conceal Government Policies and Private Towing Companies’ Practices that Wound Poor Families and Damage Local Businesses

WASHINGTON, D.C. /ScoopCloud/ -- Today, the Fair Towing Alliance, has begun an intense period of records research and analysis in West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Maryland, to pull back the mask on government agencies and private towing companies that seize and often sell the cars of people who are poor - and for a profit.

This chain of events begins when a person does not have enough money to pay a parking ticket, a license plate registration renewal fee, or is forced to live in their car after falling on hard times. The result is often homelessness and unemployment for offenses that are non-criminal and non-safety related.

Pulling Back the Mask

If a person does not pay certain taxes the government sends them letters, takes them to court and may eventually garnish their wages or place a lien on their house. From start to finish there is an orderly and fair process.

If a person, for example, is too poor to pay a $55 vehicle registration fee - the government can impound their car which is then held by a for-profit towing company until the government fines are paid. Assuming the person has the money to pay the government fines they then must pay exorbitant tow yard fees. If they do not have the money to pay those fees the tow company may take legal ownership of the car and sell it out from under the owner and at a profit. Simply put, reconciling one's fees with the government does not mean the person will ever get their car back from the for-profit towing company.

William Wallish Gorman, the Founder of the Fair Towing Alliance stated "It is stunning that government agencies take numerous steps before filing a property tax sanction but will sanction the seizing of private property without warning and without adjudication and after a person commits no crime and poses no threat to others." Further, he stated "in a time of economic strain businesses should not have to worry about employees who are poor getting to work because their car was seized by the government and sold by a for-profit company."

Began Before COVID-19

Studies have shown that up to 25% of the cars in California, for example, are towed because of unpaid parking tickets, a vehicle registration that has expired, or for parking in the same spot for more than 72 hours. In San Francisco 50% of cars towed for these three reasons are never recovered. The owners simply abandon them. On average it costs about $1,000 to retrieve a car after paying the tickets or renewing the registration when paying the tow and impound fees. Individuals who lose their car are more likely to lose their job, destabilize their family, and become dependent on the government. Trained and experienced employees not showing up for work and being fired is not in the best interest of the business community.

There Is Another Way

Some government agencies, such as the Portland Bureau of Transportation, suspended the towing of vehicles that were "abandoned" and in which people lived to minimize the harm of COVID-19. Those individuals would be afforded an outreach for the provision of appropriate services. "Services and self- reliance are mechanisms for success," according to Gorman, "and vehicle seizures are mechanisms to increase government dependence."

As reported in 2019 by CityLab, several religious organizations and nonprofits have begun creating "safe parking areas" for people living in their vehicles. These services are extremely rare and most poor families are subject not only to losing their car, but hefty fines and fees as well.

The Fair Towing Alliance advocates for the change of public policy and that procedures be amended so the government does not tow the cars of citizens for non-criminal and non-safety reasons. Doing so leads to unemployment among the working poor, harms local economies, and puts families at risk.

Current practices devastate poor families and force individuals into unsafe homeless shelters, during an epidemic, while government and towing companies profit.

The Fair Towing Alliance ( https://www.TowJam.org ) raises awareness of laws and policies regarding the towing of cars and their disproportionate impact on the poor.
